Turns out the person on Twitter who claims to be Lanny Barby may be a big fake.  The person claiming to be the real Lanny Barby (aka Lanny Barbie) has been using the twitter name @LannyBarbyXXX.  This person speaks much better English than the real Lanny Barby and will only post pictures of herself from other sources, ie:  her photos from her Vivid movies.  When asked to post a real photo of herself or a current one, the person ignores the question.

We contacted several other people who this other person claiming to be the real Lanny Barby knows and not one of them can say they know for sure who it really is making those tweets.

Two AVN noms for the Twins

The 2009 AVN Award Nominations were released today and as I was reading the list I noticed something … two somethings and that was our very own Lacey and Lyndsey Love (The Love Twins) appear on this list.  Although the girls are no longer with Vivid we wanted to wish them a congrats for the nomination of their movie Virtual Vivid Girls: The Love Twins in the category of Best Interactive DVD.  I found the girls also got a nomination in the category Best All-Girl Group Sex Scene, for their work in the movie Where The Boys Aren’t 19 along with Tera Patrick, Savanna Samson, Lanny Barby, Mercedez, Monique Alexander, Stefani Morgan, Lexie Marie, The Love Twins & Tawny Roberts. I should also note that a movie the girls were in and appear on the cover, Flesh Hunter 10 is also nominated for an award for the best director, non feature and Best Gonzo Release.

I was reading a story by Kayden Kross over at Mike South which talked about something called a Myspace fuck raffel.  Long story short, you buy a ticket for a chance to win, which the prize is you get to do a scene with a porn star.  Kayden Kross was very clear in that she in no way had anything to do with this website or these people and it was a lie that her name was on the prize list.

Kayden blogs : A few months ago I got a number of emails asking if I was in the sex raffle through myspace. I said something to the tune of fuck no. Then yesterday I got two emails about it. Apparently I’m on the list (http://www.fuckraffle.net/?page_id=6). Not cool. Let this first be my absolute denial of any and all involvement in the thing. Mine was not the only name I was surprised to see on the list though. Jesse Jane? I can’t honestly see Digital Playground letting that happen. So obviously the people running the site have no intention of actually following through on their end of the raffle. Maybe it’s an obtuse ploy to just direct traffic to their site or gain media attention for some other half baked idea? I don’t know. Either way it’s fucked up.


I decided to check out this little scam of a website and just like I thought, it was in fact a scam.



Tawny Roberts?  Lanny Barby?  I don’t think so.  Tawny Roberts hasn’t been active since 2005 and Lanny Barby is on leave for at least the last few months and even then, she is still under contract with Vivid so that would legally prevent her from doing any sex scenes with anyone.  Beyond that, she isn’t even in the country right now and my sources say nor does she have plans to be any time soon.


Still not convinced that it’s a fraud?


Aria Giovanni NEVER does sex scenes with anyone.  She is a nude model, not a porn star.  Any Aria Giovanni fan can tell you that.


Bree Olson is under contract with Adam and Eve and also can’t perform on camera with other people due to the restrictions of her contract.  It’s kind of the point of being “exclusive” with a company.


Jesse Jane?  Don’t think so.  A representative from Digital Playground said aboslutely no way, is Jesse Jane or Digital Playground involved in any such thing.


Dasha?  Big no on this one.  Dasha retired years ago, married and moved to Europe.

Where The Boys Aren’t 19

In 1989 a little known movie came out that featured Barbara Dare, Tori Welles, April West, Summer Rose, Fallon,  Christie Leigh and Tori Welles.  This was one of Tori Welles’s first ever adult movies.   The movie was directed by Paul Thomas but it was back in a time when the name Paul Thomas wasn’t so well known and didn’t come attached to so many industry awards.  It was 1989 after all.


The movie itself didn’t go over so well with the critics.  In fact, AVN only gave it 3 out of 5 stars.   Yet that next year it still won the AVN award for the Best All-Girl Feature.  It was really the first time anyone had done a high quality feature film dedicated only to lesbians that also included several well known stars all in one film.  It was sort of new ground.  This movie was called

Where The Boys Aren’t


Fast forward 19 years.  It’s now 2008 and we now have the release of Where The Boys Aren’t 19.  The movie series is still winning awards, it’s still a best selling title and it still features big named stars.   Paul Thomas directed most of the Where The Boys Aren’t titles, but not all.  Recently Chi Chi La Rue has been heading up the Where The Boys Aren’t project but he isn’t slacking when it comes to talent.  In fact, the last Where The Boys Aren’t title (Where The Boys Aren’t 18), in which Chi Chi La Rue directed, was a huge hit.  Industry award nominations aside, the movie stayed at the top of the sales charts for more than a year.   Considering how many great movies came out last year, that is really saying a lot.

But a new year is upon us and that means it is now time for a new Where The Boys Aren’t …. 19 this time and this one is in the theme of the middle east.  Set with an Arabian Nights setting, how can it now be an erotic adventure you won’t soon forget?

King Cobra or Queen Bitch?

I have a brand new movie trailer for you (click the box cover below to view it).  Lanny Barbie’s new feature hits the streets this week and it’s called King Cobra.  In this XXX rated feature of sorts.  As the story goes, she leads a all girl biker gang hell bent on destruction.    Director JacktheZipper makes his directorial debut for Vivid with the release of this title and well, from the movie trailer alone, this movie isn’t like any porno I’ve seen before and sure as fuck not anything like you’ve seen from Vivid before.  It’s out there … really fucking out there but it includes Lanny Barbie so how the fuck can you not love it?

For those that didn’t know today is Canada Day.   Canada Day is Canada’s national day, a federal statutory holiday, celebrated on July 1 annually by all governments and most businesses across the country; the date, though, is adjusted in cases where July 1 does not fall on a working day. Canada Day observances take place not only throughout the nation, but also internationally.

How Bad Must it Suck to be Tera Patrick right now?

I was reading the Wikipedia entry for Tera Patrick when I seen this ….

In 2003, Tera Patrick became the masthead publisher of Genesis magazine, a popular men’s magazine which subtitles itself, “The Home of Porn’s Hottest Stars.” Since she has signed the contract with Genesis, Patrick has graced the cover of seven issues of the publication.

So how bad must it suck to be pushed aside as #2 to Stormy Daniels in the new Genesis Hot 100 porn stars list when you are the masthead publisher? I don’t know … but it’s got to sting a little considering the fact that Tera Patrick has worked her ass off for the past few years to get the title of Queen of Porn from Jenna Jameson, only to be pushed aside so easily by a magazine she is so closely associated with.


So it got me thinking about the whole situation and actual data. Who REALLY is hot shit right now? I mean we can speculate all we want but what about the cold hard facts? I decided to go with the only real hardcore data that is available to us through the wonderous powers of the all mighty Internet.


I will not dispute the fact that both Tera Patrick and Stormy Daniels are hot as fuck and both have a very large fan base. But what I want to know is exactly who is more popular than the other? I conduct this research using only publicly found data from the Internet. In my report I am also including Briana Banks. I happen to know she’s far, far more popular than the Genesis hot 100 report reflects and I am going to use this data to prove that too!

Alexa Traffic Reports


The first data available to us is traffic ranking reports from Alexa.com. Now any expert will tell you that this data isn’t really THAT accurate but it’s really the best tool we have that is publically available for ranking traffic for websites. But again I do want to be completely fair and state that the data found on Alexa isn’t meant to be 100% accurate, just show you a basic idea of the average traffic a website may get.

  • TeraPatrick.com has an Alexa traffic rank of 28.087
  • Brianabanks.com has an Alexa traffic rank of 101.643
  • StormyDaniels.com has an Alexa traffic rank of 674,758

This means that according to the Alexa ranking system, StormyDaniels.com gets less than 2,000 unique visitors a day where as TeraPatrick.com is getting over 20,000. This data may or may not be real accurate so let us move on.

Domain name experts (or domainers for short) are making a killing in the virtual real estate market. They buy domain names for low prices and resell them for more. It’s a unique combination of the real estate and stock market, all done in a virtual world of the dot com market.

These people make it their business to know the value of a domain name based on certain factors. One of these key factors is the value of keywords that make up a domain name such as “Tera Patrick”. This is a name of a porn star to me and you but to these guys it’s a keyword that put together with a .com, becomes on very valuable domain. It’s valuable because these guys know how many times people search for the keywords “Tera Patrick” in any given day, month or year.

Google Term Frequency

There are three based tools used for this. The first is called Google Term Frequency. This basically means how many times the keywords appear in Google.

  • The Google Term Frequency for Stormy Daniels is 80,400
  • The Google Term Frequency for Tera Patrick is 3,460,000
  • The Google Term Frequency for Briana Banks is 4,830,000

So using Google Term Frequency alone, Briana Banks would be more popular than Tera Patrick and there isn’t even any competition with Stormy Daniels …. she’s so low on the chart it’s not even funny. In gamer terms, Stormy Daniels would be a “noob”.

Overture Ratings – OVT

Next we have what is call the OVT or Overture rating. This is a basic judge of how many times per month people search for the keywords. In this case our keywords are Tera Patrick, Stormy Daniels and Briana Banks.

  • Briana Banks has an OVT Rating of 179,713
  • Tera Patrick has an OVT rating of 212,520
  • Stormy Daniels has an OVT rating of 8,488

Using this method Tera Patrick is on top, with Briana Banks in a close second and Stormy Daniels again off in nowhere land. To be honest with you, when I started this report, I expected Stormy Daniels to be really high on the list, not off in an extremely distant third place. I knew Tera Patrick would rank higher but I truly had no idea Stormy Daniels would prove to be quite so unpopular with the Internet folks.

Wordtracker

Next we looked at WordTracker. Wordtracker periodically compiles a database of over 330 million search terms which is updated on a weekly basis. All search terms are collected from the major metacrawlers – Dogpile and Metacrawler. In short, it tells us how many times per day someone searches for a specified keyword.

  • Briana Banks 9,222
  • Stormy Daniels 4,310
  • Tera Patrick 14,015


Every week this data is updated. So it’s accurate as of a week ago! So we aren’t talking data that isn’t relevant. This kind of report shows very clearly that as of right now Stormy Daniels may be more popular than Lanny Barby but she’s nowhere near the popularity of stars like Tera Patrick or Briana Banks or even Tory Lane for that matter. In fact, Stormy Daniels isn’t as popular as her fellow contract girl Jesse Jane according to the most updated Wordtracker report.

But let us keep going. Surely there is something out there that will back up the claims of others that Stormy Daniels is the best. Next I performed an automated valuation of their domain names. The value of their domain names were calcualted used a complicated and confidential method that uses a variety of data to come up with a figure of a round about value of their domain name.


It is a computerized system so it doesn’t realize that Tera Patrick is a popular porn star … it just knows the data that is stored on the keyword phrase Tera Patrick so in reality these domain names would be worth MUCH MUCH MUCH more. But using this system it basically takes how many times the keywords appear in google, how many poeple link to these pages, the page rank of a domain, the alexa rank, how many estimated uniue visitors per day each website gets, if you were to purchase these keywords using pay per click, how much each of those would cost you (per click), your OVT rating and your Wordtracker estimated searches per day. Using this data they get an estimate for each girl.

  • TeraPatrick.com is thought to be worth $500,000
  • BrianaBanks.com is thought to be worth $390,000
  • StormyDaniels.com is thought to be worth $130,000


So there we have it. Stormy Daniels may be super sexy and get some 2 second spots in some real movies but it doesn’t translate into the popularity that others are trying to make it to be. As much as I hate to say it, Tera Patrick has everyone beat when it comes to down right porn star fame.

The Hot 100 Porn Stars

Just as Forbe’s magazine each year ranks CEOs and Celebrities, Genesis Magazine ranks the hottest 100 porn stars. This is the 10th year they’ve produce such a list and this year is no different.


The Top 100 Porn Stars


Looking at the list this year a few things stand out ….. Tera Patrick clearly needs to step it up in the “real world” because despite the fact that her movies sell better and she’s a more popular PORN star, she was picked only as number two in favor of Stormy Daniels who works more in the mainstream including movies like Superbad, Knocked Up and on TV shows like Dirt, The Tonight Show and ABC’s Nightline. Apparently being the best porn star doesn’t have as much to do with being an actual porn star as it does getting your face on TMZ.com. Silly Tera Patrick, she should have known that!

With a talent pool as large as there has ever been in the adult industry, Wicked Pictures contract star and director Stormy Daniels was chosen as the top star of the past year. “Stormy’s career in front of the cameras and behind them was simply amazing,” said Dan Davis, Editor-in-Chief of GENESIS. “Operation Desert Stormy was just one of her hits this year, and let’s not forget the other movies she wrote, directed and appeared in, her acclaimed feature dance appearances and her appearances in tv shows, movies and music videos.”


Stormy also directed the all-girl hit The Predator, starred in Black Widow, and has also appeared in in the best-selling DVDs for Superbad and Knocked Up, as well on the TV shows “Dirt,” “The Tonight Show” and ABC’s “Nightline” and in the music video for Maroon 5’s hit, “Wake Up Call.” The Wicked Pictures epic Operation Desert Stormy, which she wrote, directed and starred in, was recently named the “Best Sex Comedy” at the 2008 AVN Awards, and the show also saw Stormy winning the Jenna Jameson Crossover Star of the Year award.


Other interesting things about the list is how low Internet favorites like Briana Banks and Lanny Barby are. I’m not sure what the criteria was to make up the list but top sales and Internet searches clearly wasn’t one of them or someone like Briana Banks wouldn’t have been below starlets like Hillary Scott, Gina Lynn, Carmen Luvana, Rebecca Linares, Anette Schwarz and Gianna Michaels. I’m not saying these girls aren’t pretty or don’t have talent but let’s be real … when it comes to sales figures and dollar signs they don’t quite beat Briana Banks or Lanny Barby.


I will say this though, it was great to see the last name on the list was Jenna Jameson. Jenna Jameson’s appearance on the very end of the list is a big slap in the face. I mean someone needed to say it and I’m glad that Genesis Magazine finally did. Jenna Jameson was huge in her time but her bitch attitude and fuck you to the industry that made her the money she now enjoys is just to much for me. She became rich in this business and now she’s to fucking good for it? I guess that’s a rant for another day.

Lanny Barby Where Art Thou?

On April 1, 2005 inked a two year deal with Vivid. That contract apparently expired in 2007 but nobody seems to have noticed. Is it possible that Lanny Barby has officially retired?


I noticed that her name was removed from her so called “production company” website, which is called (or used to be called) Lanny Barby Productions. Although the website address still works, they changed the name (same logo and design though) to Eromodel Group Casting. Lanny Barby is also no longer listed as a client, however her half sister Kimberly Franklin is.


Next I noticed in the recent AVN article about the new Vivid movie featuring all 6 of the Vivid girls plus Tera Patrick that Lanny Barby isn’t there. They list the six Vivid girls (all of them in one place they say) as Briana Banks, Savanna Samson, Meggan Mallone, Hanna Hilton, Sunny Leone, Monique Alexander. NO LANNY BARBY??!!


How could it be? Could Lanny Barby really have retired? One of her several so called “official” myspace pages has shown no sign of life for a year now. But who knows which of the some 7 “official” Lanny Barby myspace pages are actually real.

Our sources inside Vivid won’t reveal much just that she is on a temporary hiatus. Another source says that she is in fact on a temporary hiatus without a contract pending. This however could really mean anything from the fact that they didn’t want to re-sign her so she decided to take a break to they wanted to resign her but she said she needed to take a year off. What we can say for sure is that Lanny Barby’s original contract with Vivid was for two years, which began in 2005 and that means it expired in early 2007. Speculation wise, a source said that she signed on for one more year, which is why she was at the AEE show in January of 2008 but that contract would have expired in about March of 2008 and that as of right now she is on break and isn’t going to consider a new contract. Either way, I’ll keep digging until I find out and let you know. In the mean time enjoy Lanny Barby taking it up the ass.

            Robby D. is one of the better directors working today at Digital Playground. And this about a guy who works along Joone and Celeste.

            As the mastermind behind the Jack’s Playground series, Robby D. has ventured out with My First Porn staring the delicious Teagan Presley. The theme is pretty simple with D. acting as a new director in the porn industry. He has a mentor who guides him along the way of porn so he can grow as a director.            Like his other series, My First Porn has some seriously funny moments to keep you captivated, not only to the hot sex scenes, but the in between time as well.
            The movie begins with Austin Kincaid and Chris Charming. The two have nice chemistry and Charming pops his load twice since Kincaid is such a beautiful enthusiastic porn star.
Terri Summers follows Marco Duato in an office. Summers seems to always put in a top notch performance with a lot of energy and playfulness to her. Her scene only upped the ante for the others to follow.

            The film ends with a classic one two punch. The fourth scene is our main cover girl Teagan Presley. She is paired up with Tommy Gunn. Robby D. gave us a very close up of Teagan blowing Tommy and then panned back for Tommy playing with her ass before they got to the boning. The scene was by far the best of the bunch with great lighting and camera work. Teagan is just phenomenal.

            The knockout scene came with the fifth chapter. The fabulous Lanny Barby fucking the lucky Scott Nails. This scene was just as good as Teagan’s making the finale of My First Porn an awesome set.            My First Porn is another great line in the resume of Robby D. I am not sure if this will be a series like his other two, but it would be much welcomed if it was.
