Look what I found about Eli Thomas

We’ve all heard the recent problems that Goldstar Modeling has had with the office in Florida thanks to Eli Thomas.  Well now it turns out, Eli Thomas has been having issues for a long time now, long before he ever went to head up the Florida office of Goldstar Modeling.  Here is a recent fraud report I found about him.

around september of 2005 i had a contract for alternative modeling to do some video work for me totaling 1600 dollars. In order to start the work the company requried an 800 dollar deposit.

the work was supposed to be done in 8 weeks putting the completion date for 11/2005. The owner of the company eli thomas kept making exuses as to why the work could not be completed. by feb of 2006 he told me that he would be sending my deposit back to me for failure to complete the deal. It is now 10/06 and i have still not recieved my money back, when asked why he didnt have it in 2/06 his responce was i spent it and dont have it.

this company stole my money and should not be allowed to get away with it.

What the fuck is going on over at Shane’s world?

First we hear news that one of their long time VPs leaves Shane’s World for a job over at Girlfriend films. Next thing is we hear that Casey Parker left them. Next I notice something very strange and that was that they now control Devon’s official website and instead of developing it, they make into a links list for trannies, shemales and interracial porn.    That’s some fucked up shit man.  I don’t care how pissed you are at a former client, you don’t do shit like that.  It’s low brow and down right unprofessional.   What the fuck is wrong with people today?  Here is a screen capture of what they put up at her official website.

From what I was told this was done without her knowledge or permission.   Devon who is currently represented by Goldstar Modeling, took a short break at the end of last year (From August 2008 – Dec 2008), only to recently return to working just this month.  From what I have been able to gather, Devon turned over control of her domain name after she left Digital Playground.   The folks over at Shane’s World said if she did that they would develop a new official website for her and so she released control of the domain name for the sole purpose of them creating a new website for her. Despite many promises to do so, they never actually did.

Devon began working with a webmaster and graphics company on her own but something with that deal fell through.  We can only speculate as to what is going on over at Shane’s World but the rumor mill has it that Shane’s World isn’t doing well and by their recent unprofessional behavior with the handeling of Devon’s official website, who mind you only turned it over to them because they promised to develop it with her, we can see there just may be some truth behind these rumors of their imminent demise.

Love The New Year

What a crazy year 2008 was.   I can hardly believe it’s already 2009.  Last year just went by so totally fast.  My sister and I have been so busy we haven’t really had much time to post anything lately but I hope you’ll forgive us when we tell you that we have a lot of great new things coming for the new year.  2009 has already started off wonderful.  We found out not to long ago that a few of our movies are getting award nominations from AVN and that’s really cool including our movie Virtual Vivid Girls, The Love Twins which is up for Best Interactive DVD.  How totally cool is that?

We also have a movie nominated for Best All-Girl group Sex Scene, which is Where The Boys Aren’t 19.  We did the scene that is nominated with an amazing group of girls including Lanny Barby and Savanna Samson and Monique and Tera Patrick, Tawny Roberts, Stefani Morgan, and last but not least,  Lexie Marie.


The sad news is that we won’t be able to go to Vegas this year to meet our fans or to attend the awards show but the good news is that just a few weeks later we will be headed to LA to work for the first time with our new booking agency, Goldstar Modeling.  We are a little nervous but also excited to make some new friends.  We don’t really know what projects Goldstar Modeling has lined up for us but we know it’s at least 3 or 4 of them.


I thought we would end the year by answering some questions fans have sent in but I didn’t get around to making this post until the year was already over so we’ll make it a start of the new year post about answering fans questions. 🙂


Do you regret anything you have done so far?

Well of course.  Who doesn’t have regrets in life.  I am sure if I put my mind to it I could come up with something I regretted doing but if you mean do me or my sister regret anything we’ve done career wise, then the answer is no way.  We love what we do.  We are both very shy.  I think the correct phrase is painfully shy in real life and being in the movies helps us live out fantasies that otherwise we would never be able to do.   So do we regret being porn stars? Heck no!

When you first started for Vivid you did only features, now you do mostly gonzo, which do you prefer?

It’s easier to make the kind of movies we make now because it doesn’t require us to do things like remember lines but that doesn’t mean we didn’t enjoy making the features either.   Lyndsey and I really did enjoy the time we spent at Vivid and I want to be very clear on that but in the end there is nothing like showing up on the set of say a Jules Jordan movie.  It’s crazy, very open ended and not so structured.  It’s freedom and the ability to express yourself sexually.  There is just nothing like making a movie where they aren’t trying to get a specific number of sex acts in a certain time but instead just being told GO!  And you are free to do whatever moves you.

What are you looking forward to doing in the future?

We look forward to working on some new movies next year and the redesign of our official website.  That’s going to be cool.  I think my sister would like to add that she looks forward to getting that new computer we’ve been talking about so she doesn’t have to share one with me anymore.

Would you ever have sex with a fan?  Or at least go to dinner with one?

No we don’t date fans.   We don’t date or “party” with directors or friends or investors of directors.   Nothing against those girls who do, it is just not our thing.  Most of our fans would probably be surprised how shy and reserved we really are in real life and how much we don’t party.  I would say we are probably the most boring porn stars out there.  When we aren’t on the set of one of our movies or doing a photo shoot for a website we are at home on the computer.  We don’t even drink.

There has been a lot of talk lately about porn stars hiring people to run their myspace pages.  Do you run your own?

I think anyone who takes two seconds to look at our myspace page can clearly see we do it ourselves.   It’s not fancy at all.  I’m not really all that computer savvy so really it’ s a place I like to experiment with.   But you know, if we had the money we would totally let someone come in and help us out.  I don’t see anything wrong with that at all.  Actually come to think of it, we do have a friend who helps us update photos and stuff on our website and facebook page so that’s kind of the same thing.  Speaking of our official website, we are havign it redone for us and I’m really excited.  We are going to change it up to a blong thing so it will be easier for us to do updates on our own.  Our friend is helping us set that up.  I don’t know when it will be done but she said “soon” so hopefully that means in the next few days. 🙂

Shay Jordan is now Jasmine Jinn?

Okay so let me get this straight … Shay Jordan is now Jasmine Jinn, well at least that is what I read over at PS Babylon.  How the fuck did this happen?  This is some crazy sounding shit that I had to look into.  I mean why in the world would an established porn star change her name.  That’s marketing suicide.  Surely there has to be a damn good reason behind this.


We know that Shay Jordan started her career as a porn star in last 2005 or early 2006 and signed with Digital Playground in August of 2006 and like most starlets who sign contracts, she seemed to have signed away the rights to her name.  This isn’t however uncommon.  We’ve known this to be common practice dating back for many years now, even as far back as Racquel Darrian with Vivid and that was in the mid 1990s.  Now a decade later this practice is still taking place.   The few times you hear about this kind of thing, it usually ends with the studio releasing the rights to the girls name back to the performer with a few exceptions such as the time Kira Kener sued Vivid after the dissolution of her contract to gain control of the rights to her name.


Teagan Presley was once under contract with Digital Playground and some would have you believe there was some legal issues with her name because the second she left Digital Playground, she started just going by the name of Teagan however Teagan herself went on record as saying that isn’t remotely the case.  While it is true about the trademark, they (as in Digital Playground) has been nothing but supportive of her career and personal circumstances despite the fact that she is no longer under contract with them.  In fact, Teagan Presley will be signing autographs at the Digital Playground booth this year in Las Vegas at the 2009 AEE show.

So we know that Digital Playground is in the practice, similar to Vivid in gaining control of their contract performers name.  We however also know that like Vivid they tend to have no problems returning the rights to the name once the contract is over, as evident with Teagan Presley. So why this Shay Jordan name change?


Shay Jordan’s MySpace page is clearly run by Digital Playground and they seem to continue to support it and keep it updated despite the fact that she is no longer under contract with them.  That seems odd.


Shay Jordan was in the Pirates II movie but wasn’t as the premier party.


Shay Jordan is now a blonde and being repped by Goldstar Modeling.  Yes the same folks that rep Sunny Leone, Devon, The Love Twins, Gina Lynn.  These guys are showing up a lot lately.

So I made a few phone calls and here is what I was told.  Yes it is true that Shay Jordan is no longer under contract with Digital Playground.  Yes Shay Jordan is now booking all of her work through Goldstar Modeling.  Yes Shay Jordan changed her name to Jasmine Jinn.  And she did so for practical reasons and that is because Digital Playground owns the rights to the name Shay Jordan and it would be a big legal hassle to try and get it back that could hold up her ability to work under that name.  So there you have it.  That is the reason Shay Jordan is now Jasmine Jinn.

Mark your calendar’s my friends because if you aren’t in Las Vegas on the night of January 10th you will want to smack the fuck out of yourself for missing the best party of your life.  Each and every year the big names in the business head out to Vegas for the annual convention.  It is during this show that the stars sign autographs and take photos with their fans and even in some cases party with them.  Such is the case of what has become an annual tradition, with a party called Pornstarville.


Basically fans and friends of the fabulous and famous porn stars we have all come to know and love can attend a very special event.  Every year after the AVN Award show all the stars and industry big whigs head out to the after party and that is where you need to be if you want to hang out and do Jello shots with your favorite porn stars.  Pornstarville 2009 will be held at Studio 54, no not the New York one, this Studio 54 is MGM Grand’s hottest nightspot.  This is a red carpet event.  That means that your favorite stars will be walking down the red carpet getting their pictures taken before entering the club.   How fucking great is that?  I”m told Red Carpet services are provided by XBIZ, but truth but told I have no fucking clue what “red carpet services” even means.


What I do know is, all the hype and bullshit aside, let me tell you guys something, you can go to Vegas all you want and hang out in long lines to meet your favorite stars but if you really want to have a good time get your ass to this party.  Tom Bryon, who I’m sure you’ve seen in a million fucking movies said “This party is going to fucking rock!”  Here is some video clips of Tom Byron getting it on with Jenna Jameson in a hot little threesome, in case you forgot who he was.

Problems in Paradise? LA Direct Models is being called out for bad business practices

I smell some problems in paradise.  LA Direct Models has quickly grown to be the biggest agency in our business right now.  No matter what you can say about them, you can’t take away from the fact that they currently rep a shit ton of famous chicks and their client roster is top notch.


That being said, we’ve begun to notice some cracks lately such as their public letter about their breakup with Sunny Leone.  Sunny Leone leaving them to go with Goldstar.  The Love Twins going with Goldstar.  That you can say you would probably expect since their manager is now with the agency but prior to this month, the girls still stayed with LA Direct.  You hear random stories about them not booking girls, that one chick was claiming that they only booked her once in the previous month.  That chick with the mom in the business, whatever the fuck her name was.    One booking for an entire fucking month?  Damn!


Now there is this story over at Adult FYI, which is basically claiming that Derek is doing some bad business deal and making some very unhappy clients because a chick flaked out on a shoot and instead of honoring their standard “kill fee” for the girl flaking, they opted to piss the client off even more by not honoring the kill fee payment.


If a client cancels prior to the shoot they are expected to cough up cold hard cash in the form of a cancellation fee, so it’s not unreasonable to ask LA Direct to do the same if the talent they send out does the same.


With business practices like this, one can only wonder how long it will be before someone else takes over at the top dog of bookings?  Girls talk, let’s not pretend they don’t and if LA Direct isn’t able to get them bookings, I’m sure they won’t hang around for long.

Jazel followed me to the location we were suposed to shoot at. We get there and she decides she doesn’t want to do the shoot. She never even got out of the car. Aparently the driver was her boyfriend, and even though I got the feeling from him that he wanted her to do the shoot, she got upset and said she didn’t feel well and that they were leaving.


We have an agreement with LA Direct that if we cancel a girl right before a shoot that we give them a kill fee, and they are supposed to do the same if the girl cancels. When I asked Derek about this for this situation he claimed that he didn’t have any of the girls $ so he couldn’t pay us even if he wanted to. Stoney then emailed him and he gave another excuse saying that it was my fault because I allowed the boyfriend to drive her. I’m sorry, but this is rediculous.

The Love Twins Go Gold … Goldstar that is.

As I reported last month, The Love Twins’ manager now heads up Goldstar’s New York office and as everyone expected the girls have now officially made the move from LA Direct Models to Goldstar.   That’s right, The Love Twins are now with Goldstar.   They are in good company because just last week Sunny Leone also left LA Direct Models and signed with Goldstar and of course Goldstar also reps another former Vivid girl, Devon, although she hasn’t really been active in making movies since late August (when her AIM test last expired).


This announcement was made the day the girls got home from their last trip to LA.  I tried to reach the girls for common but understandably they were tired and only gave me a short statement which said that they are happy with all that Derek (aka Ben English) has done for them after they left Vivid but they also look forward to the new adventures that they will have while with Goldstar.

Sunny Leone Goes Gold

As news broke about Sunny Leone leaving LA Direct Models, which happened about October 15th, or as LA Direct Models put it, Contrary to the press report issued by Ms Leone in the last few days, it would not be truthful to say that Ms Leone has departed the agency.    Rather, the agency has found it increasingly difficult to work with the new manager of Ms Leone and had reached the conclusion that things had reached a point at which it might be better for her to seek an alternate agency.


Sunny Leone apparently went over to Goldstar Modeling.   Just today I found this listing featuring Sunny Leone on the Goldstar website.  This is where the story gets interesting and quite twisted.  Goldstar Modeling reps Devon, former Vivid girl, who at this point is their only really BIG client, so adding Sunny Leone to their lineup is a huge bonus.  Goldstar recently bought up Blue Max models and named the former owner as the new head of Goldstar New York.  Why this is interesting is this this guy is the one manager of The Love Twins, also former Vivid girls, who mind you has LA Direct Models act as their booking agent, at least for their LA gigs.  Of course if you look at their profile page you will see that they can’t even bother to spell one of the twins name right — it’s Lyndsey.  But that’s not really the point so more on that later.


Sasha Hollander Makes Her Move

Up and coming porn starlet Sasha Hollander who was previously represented by Type 9 Models, seems to have made a big career move and is now represented by Gold Star New York.  Making the move over to Gold Star Modeling from her former home of Type 9 models seems to have agreed with Sasha Hollander as she seems to be pulling away from the likes of Pamela Peaks, who seems to previously had control of Sasha’s official website.  Under the control of Pamela Peaks the website focused more on escorting and “private shows” instead of her budding career as a porn star.


By the design of the old site you could tell that Pamela Peaks seemed to be more interested in pimping out the young Sasha Hollander for what they were calling “half hour sessions”.   The Sasha Hollander website is now “under construction” and I’m told the new version will be cleaned up, more professional looking and most importantly not promote illegal activities such as escorting.


Under her work with Gold Star we also get a much nicer set of photos of Sasha Hollander.  Her profile page tells us that she is not only being booked out of their NY office but that she’s now living there as well.  She is pretty much open to any type of scene – g/g, blow job, something called a blow bang (a blow jog gang bang maybe?), foot job, hand jobs, normal boy / girl stuff, fetish shoots and more.

Devon Meet The Love Twins

What do Devon and the Love Twins have in common? Well they are all former Vivid girls and as of today, they are also all part of the Gold Star Modeling network.  In short it was revealed today on AVN that the Gold Star Modeling network acquired Blue Max Models who up until today handled the Love Twins.



A representative from The Gold Star Modeling network was contacted for a comment but basically had nothing new to say only that things were very new still and they aren’t even sure what is going on, who the new girls are, and how they are going to integrate them all together but they seem to look forward to the challenge.   The people at Blue Max Models couldn’t be reached for comment at this time, nor could The Love Twins.


As of this posting the link to the Gold Star New York website was not functioning, which is the new home of Blue Max Models.

GoldStar Modeling Goes National

Joel Lawrence’s agency opens offices in Miami, N.Y.


LOS ANGELES – GoldStar Modeling on Wednesday announced it has opened offices in New York and Miami as the agency expands its reach on a national level.  GoldStar owner Joel Lawrence told AVN that Blue Max Models in New York and Alternative Modeling in Miami have become part of GoldStar Modeling. The new GoldStar branches will each have their own Websites – goldstarny.com and goldstarmiami.com – launched by Monday. Both sites will also be accessible from the main goldstarmodeling.com Web portal.


Lawrence, who founded GoldStar in June of 2005, said the deals came together quickly during the month of August after productive negotiations with Blue Max Models’ Joe Max and Alternative Modeling’s Eli Thomas.


“We absorbed Blue Max Models and Joe Max is now exclusively handling the business in the tri-state area,” Lawrence said. “That will be his sphere of influence and to that aim there will be talent based out of New York, male and female.


“The idea is more girls coming to New York, probably two a week, and ideally more talent coming out of New York, both male and female which could be going to any of the branches.


“In addition, more LA producers would be able to shoot out of New York. There will be a lot of cross-pollination going on.”

Thomas will oversee all operations for the new GoldStar branch in the Florida market.


“That same basic paradigm also exists, except Eli’s sphere of influence will be just Florida,” Lawrence continued. “We will offer housing, transportation and other support services and our talent will be available to any of the branches. So if an LA girl wants to go to Florida, we’ll have housing and transportation for her, and the same with New York. It’s likely that well make it a little bit of a triangle.”


Lawrence said that both the New York and Miami offices would also offer locations, access to equipment, and other production support services.  Thomas, who started Alternative in 2003, told AVN the new venture has been well-received.

“There is a lot of positive feedback that we are getting from producers in Miami and Ft. Lauderdale,” Thomas told AVN. “I’m excited because now we have a solid foundation with the talent in LA. It’s a win-win for everybody. The girls are excited and the producers are excited. I’m excited too because my goal has always been to be a national agency.”

Thomas said he would be working closely with Lawrence’s LA hub to build the Miami presence, including incorporating the same computer booking systems.


“And I’ll be hiring my own support staff as far as photographers and drivers to help us,” Thomas added. “The Florida market is constantly growing, I find I get at least one to two new producers contacting me per week.”

Gold Star’s New York arm will be based out of Long Island, where Max has operated Blue Max Models since 2003.


“I think it’s going to be phenomenal. We are the first nationwide agency,” Max said. “I think it’s going to change the industry. It’s going to be a lot easier for producers to book and easier for talent to find work. This was something we’ve been discussing for a while and it fell into place real quick.”


Max, who is stationed about 25 minutes from New York City, said he has watched the New York market grow during the past two years.


“By leaps and bounds. It’s amazing, more and more people are coming into New York to shoot now. … They are tired of the same old places.”


Max told AVN his territory would also include Pennsylvania.


“I’m about two hours away from every producer we work with,” said Max, who used to make frequent trips to Florida with his New York girls before he met Thomas.


Lawrence said he has about 105 LA-based girls and 10 guys on his roster. But when the transition is complete in a few weeks, he’ll have at least 135 girls and 25 guys. He said his bookings have already increased by over 20 percent.


“Everyone believes in the vision of being a national company because at the end of the day that will ultimately be what provides the greatest service for the producers and the talent,” Lawrence said. “I am firmly committed to this, and it’s reaped instant results in a lot of ways.”
