Porn Stars can now $ CASH $ in on Twitter

How much money did you make this morning for tweeting to your fans?  For awhile now we’ve been hearing about how celebs are being paid cold hard cash to tweet about products.

For example if Khloe Kardashian sends out an #ad tweet she is paid about $2900 for that one single tweet.  That’s more than most porn stars make for doing a boy/girl scene.  D list celeb Audriana Patridge makes $1100 for a sponsored tweet.  Holly Madison from Playboy’s the Girls Next Door makes $4,000 a tweet.  Lindsey Lohan makes about $3500 a tweet.  It is rumored that Kim Kardashian gets paid $10,000 per tweet and some say that is how much Kendra gets paid as well.

While most of us don’t have the followers that celebrities do, and can’t demand $2,000 to $4,000 a tweet, that doesn’t mean money still isn’t out there to be made from tweeting if you are a famous porn star.

$100 a tweet, $500 a tweet, maybe even more.  It’s based obviously on how many followers you have so the more famous you are on twitter, the more money you will make. Wouldn’t you love to wake up, have some coffee and make a few hundred bucks for asking your followers to check out some movie or follow some guy?  A few hours later, while you are on set being bored out of your ass waiting for the director to do whatever, you take two seconds of your day, tweet to your fans and bam you made a few hundred more bucks.

I really is real and it is the same company all those big named celebs use and they accept adult tweeters.  So what the heck are you waiting for?  GO START CASHING IN ON YOUR MAJOR TWITTER FAN BASE! Start getting cash to tweet.  Don’t get me wrong, I’m not suggesting you sit around spamming your followers all day long with ads, but what harm is there in a few a week?  That’s new found money that you had to do almost nothing for.  Don’t you deserve it?

Some people have talked about the ethics of getting paid to tweet ads to their fans but if you are honest with your fans and say “ad or sponsored tweet” I am more than sure your fans won’t begrudge you making a little cash, now will they?  You get paid to show up on set, right?  So why not get paid to tweet about it?   Every other celeb is, so why not you too?

Thank fucking God Jenna Haze said this.  Someone seriously needed to.  It’s annoying seeing porn stars all day long flat out begging for their fans to send them gifts.

Shawna Lenee spoke out months ago and said they weren’t paying her for her work on her “official site”.  But nobody would listen because well, she’s a known insane person.  But how crazy is the bitch now that it is happening to so many others?

Let me ask you this question, why the fuck would you be giving a piece of YOUR website to LA Direct Models in the first place?

Why not go to a company like Premium Cash on your own?  Why do you need LA Direct Models as a middle man?

Think Jenna Haze or Gina Lynn did their website deals through LA Direct Models?  OF COURSE NOT.  So guess what …. they are probably getting paid from Premium cash when you are left calling the LA Direct Models office and let Fran curse you out and treat you like a piece of shit when they are the ones who owe you money.   You enjoy being verbally abused?  Well then tell me again why the fuck you are allowing it?

ATTENTION PORN STARS – STOP BEING DUMB ASSES WHEN IT COMES TO YOUR BRAND AND THAT INCLUDES YOUR WEBSITE!  SERIOUSLY!

Never allow anyone – ANYONE – no matter who they are, own or control your domain name, or your stage name.  That is your brand and without it they have you by the balls.  STOP ALLOWING PEOPLE THE OPPORTUNITY TO FUCK YOU.

An agent should be out there representing you with studios and producers – they should be actively seeking new work for you.  They have nothing to do with your website or your brand.  They are already double dipping – taking money from you when the book you a job, then taking money from the production companies for hiring you and then now they are going to take money from your official site too?

Why?

What does that have to do with them being a good agent for you?

Ask yourself this … does a good agent go out of their way to work with producers to get you work?

If so, then just find out how many producers really like to work with LA Direct Models at all?  Or only do so because they have to.

Do you really need them or would you do just as good hiring a PR agent for $500 to $1,000 a month and then booking your own jobs?

Is LA Direct Models or whatever agent you are using really doing THAT much for you?

Are they worth even being with?

Have they really gotten you that much work?

I think more often than not, any porn star with half a brain would do better off creating a website like <bookyourname.com> and then hiring yourself a publicity company to promote you and everything you do to keep your name out there.

Linking to porn just got a whole lot easier

The adult industry has for many years tried to play nice with mainstream.  We try and follow the rules social network sites like myspace and facebook put before us, yet even then we get blatantly and openly discriminated against with the myspace’s URL cock blocks and the cancellation of more facebook pages than I can count.  There is hardly a day goes by where we don’t hear about some new porn star getting their facebook page removed for no apparent reason, even if they follow the rules and don’t post nude pics or anything offensive.  And don’t even get me started porn star’s twitpic accounts have been disabled for no apparent reason.  It has been this way for the adult industry for, well for as long as there has been an adult industry.  People love to see us naked, they just don’t want to be seen, seeing us naked.  So as such, we as an industry have to learn to depend on ourselves and develop our own thing gadgets and goodies.

The use of Twitter has obviously become extremely popular with porn companies, porn stars and porn fans alike.  As such the need for an adult friendly URL shortening services has become common place.  If you aren’t sure what that means, it’s basically those websites that take those long and complicated URLs and in return gives you a very short version to use on sites like Twitter and Facebook who limit how many characters you can include on an update.

There are quite a few URL shortening services already but did you know they don’t like adult sites using them?

goo.gl is the newest, they warn their users that they may happen upon objectionable content if they use the goo.gl service but also say that “Google may provide tools to filter out explicit sexual content”.  While they don’t filter out porn right now, this little part of their TOS sets the path for them to do so in the future, meaning any porn links you shorten with Google’s URL shortening service today may one day stop working and that one day could be any day because in the end, they are just not a porn friendly service.

bit.ly has long been a very popular service for shortening affiliate URLS and did you know they flat out forbids use of adult sites from their service?  Their TOS says you may not post or submit pornographic, obscene, or otherwise actionable or objectionable material.

WordPress has long been a popular blog software for adult webmasters and with the introduction of their new url shortening service wp.me I was surprise to learn that they forbid linking to any content that is pornographic.

So what are us naughty little pornographers to do?  In comes SXE.CC.  They are an adult friendly URL shortening service.  Their terms of service don’t prohibit linking to adult sites, and by the design of their site, they clearly encourage it.

Sure you can keep using these other services but don’t go bitching when your short links stop working because they were filtered out or disabled for being pornographic.
