Meet Misti Dawn.  She calls herself one of the nerdiest girls in porn.  She loves sci-fi and comic books and she really wanted to be a part of the upcoming production of Star Wars, well the pornographic parody version, currently being produced by Vivid Entertainment.

There is a problem however.  Misti Dawn isn’t exactly mainstream porn like.  She isn’t exactly what you think of when you think of a girl that might appear in a Vivid movie.  At first they tried to be nice and tell her she was to short but when she got verbally abusive with the production staff they decided to just lay it on the line for her and be blunt, telling her she had far to many tats.

Misti Dawn doesn’t just have a few tattoos either, she is practically covered in them from head to toe.  She very much has that alt-girl kind of thing going on but I can understand why they wouldn’t consider her even for a second for a very expensive, big budget mainstream porn production.

Apparently someone forgot to explain basic economics to Misti Dawn who is calling for an all our protest of the movie, telling her fans not to buy the movie.  She doesn’t seem to have the very basic understanding of how business works though.  She doesn’t seem to understand that when they make a movie they do so for the sole purpose of trying to sell it to consumers.  Consumers who typically buy a Vivid movie wouldn’t necessarily be interested in watching a girl like her in one of their movies.

But Misti Dawn apparently can’t be bothered with those little economic details.  Instead she is on a mission to tweet non stop how much she hates Vivid and how everyone should boycott Vivid.  Here is one of her tweets.

Does she really think she is accomplishing anything other than alienating other production companies from wanting to work with her in the future?

Does she really not understand that just as she has every right to cover her entire body in ink, others have every right not to hire her for doing so?

Does Misti Dawn really not get that she is an alt porn star and as such mainstream companies typically just aren’t going to work with her, no matter how much she bitches and whines about it?  She chose to do that to her body and and although some people like that look, most mainstream type porno consumers do not.   So she really needs to get the fuck over herself.  She made the choice to do that to her body, so she has to live with the consequences.
