Should Porn Stars Discuss Politics and Religion?

Today I want to talk about branding. As a porn star, you are your brand. Because you are also a real person, that can sometimes get confusing. That’s why I want to take the time today and break it all down for you and go over the ins and out of building your brand. If …

Big Budget gets Beat Out by Low Quality?

There is no denying that Digital Playground spent a shit ton of money on the production and marketing of Pirates II.   I heard rumors about their marketing budget but I don’t know for sure.  Let’s just say if the rumors are true, they spent more money on marketing Pirates II than probably 10 normal movies cost to be made.  Anyway the point is, did all of this hoopla really pay off?  Although the movie remains at the top of the charts but you know what’s selling even better?  A movie thrown together almost overnight and rushed into production.  I’m not saying it’s a low quality piece of shit or anything but let’s be real, as fast as this fucker was made, it couldn’t of exactly had the highest of production values.  Of course I speak of the political spoof, Who’s Nailin’ Paylin from Hustler.  Knowing that your super high budget fuck flick is being outsold by this shit, has to be a sore spot of Digital Playground, who currently has their stars like Jenna Jane traveling the globe promoting the mega hit.  Truth is, by far Pirates II is a better movie.  It’s not just because the girls are hotter, which they are but because it’s clear when watching the movies that the overall production values are better with Pirates II than with Hustler’s Sara Palin political porn.  It’s crap.  They threw it together in 5 minutes and you can see it come through in the scenes of the movie.  I get that the idea was funny.  It really is but I still say Pirates II is a better movie and I hope that is reflected come awards time.

What voting means

I’m sure by now you are probably sick of hearing people say VOTE VOTE VOTE and I wouldn’t normally post about the subject but someone said something to me today that I just really couldn’t believe I was hearing.  My sister and I had just gotten home from voting and a friend we knew from school called.  We asked if she had voted yet and she said something to me I won’t ever forget, “Oh I don’t vote.  My husband votes for us and he went early this morning.”

Wait, what?  Your husband votes for “us”?  In an age where girls are so proud to should GIRL POWER how could any modern woman say such a thing?  You have a voice too and if you don’t express your views then the luxuries you enjoy such as the right to work, equal pay and issues like Health care may go unheard.  YOU HAVE A VOICE SO USE IT.  Don’t count on others doing the right thing.  You do the right thing.   Please, it’s so important that you vote.

Every single vote counts!  STAND UP AND BE COUNTED!

  • 1845 – ONE vote brought Texas into the Union
  • 1868 – ONE vote saved President Andrew Johnson from impeachment
  • 1876 – ONE vote gave Rutherford Hayes the presidency of the United States
  • 1939 – ONE vote passed the selective service act
  • 1960 – ONE vote per precinct elected John F. Kennedy President
  • 1978 – in Fullerton, California, a Democratic candidate for the State of California’s legislature lost by TEN votes in a primary election where 32,000 votes were cast

Healthcare in America – neither know what the fuck is up

As I sit in the comfort of my home, watching the debates tonight one thing kept sticking out in my mind and that is the fight between the two healthcare plans between Obama and McCain.  Truth is I don’t like to bring political discussions into porn.

This blog is for the most part to discuss adult related topics but tonight I’m going to make an exception because tonight I am annoyed to no end.

As I watched Obama talk about every American getting access to the same health insurance plan as Senators get, which will never fucking happen – sure a hacked version but not the real version they have right now – or McCain talk about his $5,000 healthcare tax credit, I think for the first time I realized how little both of these people know about these people they wish to represent – the American people and what the real struggles are of the middle class.

There was a friend of mine whose husband recently lost his job because his company had to make cutbacks.  This means they not only lost their income, but also lost their healthcare coverage.

She went looking to buy healthcare on their own only to find that wasn’t an option.  She tried to find reasonable rates using our good friend Google and came across an ad for low cost health insurance through I think she said eHealthinsurance.com in addition to checking rates through a company advertising on TV called Assurant Health.  What she found was shocking.

A young married couple (both under 40), in reasonably good health with no children could pay around $500 to $1,000 a month for a policy, however this policy comes with a whopping $5,000 to $10,000 yearly deductible.

The $500 a month plan which had a $10,000 a yaer deductible wasn’t an option for them simply because it didn’t cover things like normal doctor’s visits. The $1,000 a month plan had a $5,000 a year deductible but they had little or no prescription coverage and per doctor visit co-payments of $50 a visit.  I have no insurance at all and I only pay $50 to visit the doctor.  They are looking at having to pay some $17,000 a year plus the cost of co-payments and prescriptions.

Previously for better coverage than what they would have under this new plan, with her husband’s employer they paid $250 a month, no yearly deductable, per doctor co-payments of $25 and prescriptions cost $10, $20 or $30 (depending on what they were).

So to go from $3,000 a year to $17,000 a year for significantly less coverage is quite a shock to their budget to say the least.

So what do our presidential candidates offer in return?

A $5,000 tax credit still makes their $17,000 a year insurance $12,000 a year not including the cost of co-payments and prescriptions.

Apparently McCain hasn’t looked into the actual cost of trying to get health insurance for those middle class folks who don’t quality for work funded plans or low income credits.

So what about Obama?  Well his plans calls for a heatlcare plan equal to what he gets as a Senator at an affordable rate.  And those who don’t chose to get healthcare may face a “fine”.

If this is what healthcare costs now.  Where exactly does he plan on getting  an affordable plan for all?

If heathcare cost even just $15,000 a year, how can people afford that?

For a truly affordable plan for “all”, he is going to have to do something at or around $100 to $200 a month and no way in hell can he pull that off.

Hot for Hillary

TMZ is reporting that porn legend Nina Hartley was tapped to play Hillary Clinton in Hustler’s Sarah Palin parody porno, “Nailin’ Paylin”.  Now that they mention it, Nina Hartley does kind of look like her.

The video is currently in pre-production, but is being fast tracked for release before the election.  The script is said to call for a threeway with Hillary and Condoleezza look-alikes.

Playing the odds

We all play the odds.  When we go to Vegas we give them our money and hope that we win but in reality we know the house has the odds in their favor but still yet, we play the odds in hopes of winning.   A friend of mine is going tonight to a bar to watch a baseball game where the odds are that the Dodgers will beat the Cubs.  Doesn’t mean it will for sure happen but odds are, based on past performance and a variety of other statistics, the Dodgers will win.  He is “playing the odds”.

As it would turn out, quite a few people are playing the odds and they don’t even realize it.  Every single person who is voting for McCain is playing the odds that he will live the entire time he is in office however odds are he won’t.

I did a little research if for no other reason than just to have some to say when people are going on and on about McCain’s age.  Truth is, I’m not a fan of either McCain or Obama but I found this bit of information quite interesting.

A white male born around the time John McCain was is expected to live on average to be about 66.5.  Obviously he could die before then or somewhat after but odds are, he will die at that age.  Any time he may live past the age of 66 and 1/2 is just a bonus.

It’s an odds thing.  Odds are he won’t live past the average.  Well he’s 72 years old so he’s lived well past the average.

So what are the odds exactly?

John McCain was born on August 29, 1936.

That makes him 72 years old.

The U.S. Census tells us that a white male born around his time should live to be around 66.5 years.  That means he has beat the odds for the last 5.5 years.

We are hoping that he’ll beat the odds for another 4 years despite putting him in an extremely stressful position as leader of the United States of America and all the pressures that come with such a title.

If I was a betting man, common sense would tell me to play with the odds and not against them.

Common sense would tell me that the odds are very much stacked against John McCain living much longer.

I mean for fuck sakes the man is already 72 years old.

Throw in the stresses of the campaign, the new job (if he wins) and his already known health conditions and you tell me who the fuck would take those odds?

Vote how you want.  I don’t want to say one candidate is better than the other.  But use common sense when you do.  Know the odds of winning and the likely hood of your candidate being able to see through his or her time in office.

McCaingels – the right has never been so wrong

I’m all for talking about politicis and what not.  But to be honest most of what people say just bore the fuck out of me.  However I just came across this series of politically incorrect videos about McCain (it’s a spoof obviously) that are so fuckign funny I just had to show you the trailer.  Good shit man, good shit.

FAYNER’S MALE SAC

DAN WRITES: Dig the site, but there’s one thing I should tell you before someone who’s a much bigger/more pompous asshole screams this at you: Adolph Hitler was elected; he wasn’t installed.

The German economy was in the toilet and he was the first politician to convince the German people — who my history professor referred to as having a “sonderweg”, or as it’s loosely translated “retarded path” in politics, meaning they’re political retards — that they are strong and should unite under his national socialist ideals.

Otherwise, fairly accurate, though I don’t think Hitler and Bush are all that alike.

Hitler was a great speaker.

Fayner Says: I got this from the internet:

These two myths – that Hitler was elected into power and that Germany supported him – are not true. The Hitler regime was never democratically elected. Hitler was appointed Chancellor of Germany on 30 January 1933 by the President, General Hindenburg, and the politician von Papen, to try to stop a left-wing government taking power.

J WRITES: Fayner…what’s up with the ‘brainwashed puppets’ crap? You know these guys are in a hard spot…they can go shoot a bunch of foreign rambo-wannabe’s or spend 10 years chugging cock in military prison. That’s a pretty easy call for most guys not already into tossing salad for extra cigs or pb&j’s.

Fayner Says: Soldiers are trained to obey and serve their superior, and despite them risking their lives for you and me that makes them brainwashed puppets. Okay?
