What does a porn star do when she’s not making movies?

So what does a porn star do when she’s not on the set of her latest movie or doing a photo shoot for some fabulous magazine?   Well if she’s on the Ideal Image Management roster apparently she can go hang out at the cam house and make some extra cash that way.

[source] Talent agency Ideal Image Management (IMM) has been around for about a year and a half—plenty long enough to know that finding work for all their talent is tough and getting tougher—so this week, the company has announced the launch of the Ideal Management Camhouse, a webcam studio currently consisting of four furnished rooms where models can earn extra income when they’re not shooting movies or other content.

“The way we look at it is, it’s a good way for the girls to earn money, and perhaps just importantly, it keeps them relevant from a publicity standpoint,” explained IMM co-founder Corey. “We continuously have meetings with people, especially producers, who hire talent based on the girls’ numbers of fan followers off of Twitter and things of that nature, and webcamming is an opportunity for the models to gain a higher fan base.”

“A lot of girls in the industry do it, but there’s a lot of girls that don’t do it,” he continued. “Not only that, but a lot of them don’t even know how to get involved in webcamming and they don’t have a facility to do it. A lot of them are living in ‘model houses’ and there’s nothing set up for them there; some of them maybe have a room but they don’t have a facility or a laptop or things of that nature, so we basically developed our studio webcam rooms where these girls can webcam out of.”

And while it’s not the lap of luxury, each of IMM’s webcam rooms is fully equipped with freshly washed sheets on the bed, a laptop with a high def camera, the best of high speed internet, a variety of toys, and a webcam set for duos and shows.

“Our camhouse environment is safe and professional,” Corey assured.

According to a press release recently issued by IMM, anyone choosing to webcam through the company can expect “a dynamic and passionate staff who use their superior marketing strategy to increase their web traffic.”

“Ideal Image Camhouse models are able to work from home or the studio, enjoy flexible schedules, and receive the all-important same day pay,” the company said.

Currently, the IMM feeds are being handled by Streamate, but the company is in talks with several ISPs to insure that the studio has enough speed and bandwidth to service multiple streams at the same time.

And perhaps best of all, the studio is available for both new models and experienced porn stars, and they don’t have to be IMM clients in order to take advantage of the offer.

IMM suggests that interested models should follow the company’s Twitter feed for updates and announcements, or for more specific information, email Fred, or call the studio at 818-886-4424 or visit their official website at www.idealimagemanagement.com

Sara Jay says STOP PRETENDING TO BE ME!

From LUKEISBACK – Popular adult Superstar Sara Jay  is happy to announce that she & Brazzers have mutually agreed to resolve a hard fought lawsuit filed by Jay over a website called “SaraJayBlog.com”.  The popular star sued Brazzers claiming it had set up the Blog through an Affiliate with the express purpose of impersonating her and stealing traffic.  Brazzers disputed Sara Jay’s claims, asserting, among other things that it was not responsible for the actions of an affiliate that was sending it traffic.  Jay asserted that Brazzers was engaging in an industry wide practice of setting up similar blogs to ‘impersonate’ girls in the business to get traffic & sales.

After the case was filed, the Blog was taken down.  Brazzers tried to have the entire case thrown out by the trial court claiming Jay’s claims were barred by an arbitration agreement in a modeling release Jay had signed which Brazzers said also gave it the right to ‘promote’ images it owned in whatever manner it saw fit. After losing those arguments at the trial court level, Brazzers took an appeal up to the Court of Appeal which it lost resulting in an award of costs in Jay’s favor.

The case was ordered into mediation where the parties agreed to resolve the case with Brazzers agreeing Jay had the right to try and get the domain back for herself.
Sara Jay is quoted as saying: “I sued because there was a Blog out there purporting to be my ‘official’ blog which sent all the traffic – and sales – to Brazzers.   Needless to say, I take any attempt to use my name to make money of my name very seriously.  We won at the Trial Court & Court of Appeal levels.

However, with the blog now gone & Brazzers agreeing it would not stand in the way me getting back the url, settling made sense.   We were both incurring massive amounts of time, legal expenses & costs – time I could be spending shooting or on my career. I’d rather be on set having sex for my fans than in a court room.  It was a bitter battle with Brazzers & but it was better for both sides to resolve it.”

Of legal interest in the case was Brazzers’ claim that it had given an oral agreement for one Brazzers entity to use the model release rights to all other Brazzers entities.  The Court of Appeal found that an oral agreement pertaining to matters that are the subject of copyright (such as photographs) is invalid unless in writing.  (See attached.)  The court found that taking out the domain name “SaraJayBlog.Com” was not permitted by the Brazzers contract that Ms. Jay had signed.  It held that Ms. Jay’s “suit does not involve the subject matter of the [Brazzers’ entity] contract”.  Whether this judicial ruling will cause Brazzers to change its policy of promoting its websites using domain names of the actresses with whom it has signed releases remains to be seen.

Sara Jay notes: “It’s amazing what companies are trying to do based on purported ‘modeling releases’. All I can say is… be careful what you sign.”

Problems in paraside?

According to several recent stories posted at AdultFYI [source] there have been some serious problems at Bluebird Films including talks of former contract star Dylan Ryder suing them for lack of payment and the loss of the person who heads up their websites.  Other stories on the same site mention that Paul Chaplin has stopped funding Bluebird Films USA and well the long and short of it is, looks like if Bluebird Films owes you money you are SOL.

Gene Ross at Adult FYI provides no actual proof of these allegations.  He only goes on to quote unnamed sources. But he makes mention more than a few times of people being owed money so it seems if Paul Chaplin did cease funding the company that would explain things.

Another thing to note is that Dylan Ryder via a press release and twitter did confirm her departure from Bluebird but she did not indicate any troubles at that time.

Via twitter Kelli Roberts their former head of their websites did tweet a confirmation of her departure from Bluebird as well.

Kelli Roberts ‏ @MissKelliXXX tweets : So there is no confusion … I am no longer with Bluebird Films and I did not have anything to do with any stories out there like @adultfyi.  I will not discuss anything with Bluebird, good or bad. I don’t ever ever ever discuss clients. That’s just silly.  Plus to me all clients are fabulous – no matter what I always always learn something from them

BabeShows.com, the companies official forums have seen a rash of posts recently complaining about lack of affiliate payments, shotty customer service and problems with their websites.  Here is one post from a board regular davos11 who writes

“You’d think this company doesn’t want paying customers…., Im sick an tired of waiting months (actually over a year since this film was due to be released) for a scene , then getting snotty or insulting answers and replys when you ask simple questions. Just curious …..but why do you have a problem answering questions when that’s the sole purpose of both the forum and the job your paid to do ?   Ill take my questions and custom elsewhere.”

How Big Of A Deal Is The Condom Ordinance Really?

Mike South had a very interesting article today on his site that I wanted to share with all of you.  [source]

How Big Of A Deal Is The Condom Ordinance Really

As I look through the current AVN Magazine I notice that of the top 50 sales and rentals one company dominates.  Wicked Pictures.

Wicked even had the number one selling and renting title in the country and it’s an all condom company.  This leads me to think that at least at the high end, the whole condom thing isn’t even an issue in terms of revenues.  I can see where it might effect sales of the basic all sex videos but those are getting hit hard anyway. one guy even wrote to me and in his email he stated that he was a long time fan of porn but that the proliferation of violence and “consensual” rape scenes had more of an effect on his quitting porn than condoms would have.

I hear that a lot actually, even today theres a thread on GFY about it:

Mr Peabody Writes:

Living a life of a pornmeister I, like most of you, “get to” (oh joy) watch seemingly endless hours of raw, nasty fucking. WooHoo! Except….well, I see some of the same shit over and over again that I CANNOT STAND TO LOOK AT ANYMORE so was just wondering if others felt the same way about some of these:

* Bald guys fucking. i do NOT want to watch some Nazi skinhead gym/roid fag pound some girl as she pretends to just “love it”.

* Cumshots on the face. I know, how can someone complain about “the money shot”? Well, the girl usually jumps off the stunt dick so quick to “get in position” that it looks fucking ridiculous. Besides, some of these dudes need to jack it forever just to cum, after endlessly fucking like a machine. So isn’t he just masturbatingon a chick? Ridiculous.

* Green couch sex. (Okay, ANY “bright colored” couch). The scene starts, we see a damn UGLY green couch, and boring mechanical sex. PLEASE get some new sets.

* Slapping, punching, choking, violent sex. I consider these scenes, where the guy is basically abusing the girl, ‘consensual rape scenes’ and I find them disgusting. Most ‘adult performers’ need to get angry (and/or drugged up) just to do these kins of scenes and, again, they make me sick.

* Let’s see how many dicks we can fuck. Line ’em up, fuck the shit out of a girl…again, looks like consensual gang rape to me. And all those guys, dicks out, waiting to be serviced is totally gay to me.

* DP – c’mon people. This is ‘freak sex’. Let’s see how many cocks (or objects) we can stuff inside some holes. Gross. And guys: you basically have another dude’s cock right next to yours or some dude laying on top of you. Gay.

* European anal sex. It’s so common it’s uninteresting. The same European/Russian girls moaning robotically as they take a giant cock up their poopster. These girls don’t even know they’re being fucked half the time as their minds just ‘check out’ (Czech out? hehe) and I find the sex boring as fuck.

* Facial abuse. When i get a blowjob I want to feel it, enjoy it – not ram my cock down some poor girl’s mouth til she cries, gags, bleeds and God knows what else. Again, consensual rape and it’s disgusting.

* Casting couch scenes. Either there’s an endless supply of gullible dumb-ass whores out there (okay, probably) or people can be entertained by the same repetive shit forever. Watching the same boring “audition sex” on a fucking black leather couch, over and over again, is amazingly boring.

* Girls waving good-bye after a scene. Okay, we’ve just used and abused you as a sperm dumpster for twenty minutes, every hole is stretched out and you probably want be able to walk for a couple days, and there’s a gallon of cum dripping down your face, and you were just hit, choked, gagged and called a ‘fucking worthless whore’, so smile and wave to the camera! Hi Dad!

Out of 45 responses to the thread only 4 disagreed with an part of it. the consensus being that porn, from a fans perspective, has just gotten too formulaic, too acted, and has no connection to reality.

As one fan put it: “yes porn is about fantasy, but it has to be a part of that fantasy that I feel like a guy like me has a shot at that girl.”

Hey Baby! I’ll Make You Famous!! No Seriously ……….

When most men say that, we girls laugh but turns out this time it really is true.  The fine folks at Rising Star PR have come up with a tweet off kind of contest in which the winner will be awarded free PR services.  [source]

The Next Rising Star 2012 Contest is well under way. With so many amazing entries it was hard to narrow down the list. We even had a tie between two of the girls! That’s why we chose to have 6 girls competing instead of just 5.  The “Sweet Six” include:

So how do you vote for your favorite girl? It’s easy! From May 1st until the 15th we will be monitoring our twitter feed @risingstarpr. To vote for your girl simply tweet us and add them. For example “@risingstarpr I vote @NickiBlue” would count as one vote for Nicki Blue. Fans can vote once a day and the finalists are encouraged to ask fans for their help. Voting this way will allow everyone to see who is winning and prevent cheating. The winner must have more than 50 votes more than the closest girl to be crowned Next Rising Star 2012. In the event of a less than 50 vote “tie” Brooklyn Lee and Kagney Linn Karter will decide which girl wins.

What are you waiting for?

Get voting for your favorite girl now!

Rising Star PR began as an idea between industry veterans Devan Cypher and Acme Andersson in February 2009. Having both worked for adult publications and trade magazines, as well as individually doing PR and marketing for major companies for over a decade – including Sin City, Kick Ass Pictures, Shane’s World, and Metro – we decided to pool our resources and help girls get the same level of attention contract stars were getting.

Since then Rising Star PR has worked with major stars, helping them along the way to fame and fortune, including Brooklyn Lee, Kagney Linn Karter, Kayden Kross, Jenna Presley, Shawna Lenee, Jesse Capelli, and Monique Alexander. We’ve also worked with Rebel Studios, Adult Source Media, Adam & Eve, and Bluebird Films.

More than anything we have a passion for helping girls achieve their goals and get the recognition they deserve. We wish you all good luck!

.XXX domains, The Not So Hot Numbers

DNN recently analyzed the top 1,000,000 most heavily trafficked and popular websites in the world, according to Alexa, and the results were shocking when we specifically looked at the now 1 year old active dot XXX extension. Our research revealed that only 61 developed websites that are using the .XXX extension placed inside the top 1 million of the most visited sites in the world. Many would expect these adult-oriented websites to be pulling in massive amounts of traffic and interest soon after launching, but apparently that isn’t the case so far.  [source]

One year later… Now what?

The .XXX extension, a sponsored top level domain operated by ICM Registry has been live for a year now, as was originally reported on April 15, 2011, which is when .XXX was added to the root servers and domains such as Sex.XXX and Porn.XXX were now resolving as live sites on the web, readily available to be accessed as any other extension, all over the world. Dot XXX domain names have been available for anyone to register and develop since December 6, 2011, after the sunrise and land-rush phases concluded which were held from September 7 – November 25, 2011. The registry operator also recently announced that it will be applying for the .Sex, .Adult and .Porn TLDs.

Earlier this month ICANN and the ICM Registry released .XXX domain registration stats and the magic number was said to be 215,835. That number represents how many .XXX domains ICM Registry had under its management as of April 6, 2012 when the press release went out. Out of all those registrations 132,859 are adult-oriented and a whopping 82,976 are non-adult defensive registrations, domains of celebrities and sensitive uses, and those ICM Registry reserved for future uses and sales under the .XXX Premium Names Program and the .XXX Adult Performer Program.

Stuart Lawley, the founder and CEO of ICM Registry LLC was interviewed by DomainSherpa about two weeks ago, where he shared some interesting data about the .XXX extension during the 1 hour video interview with Michael Cyger. We’ve highlighted below the few bits and pieces which stand out the most:

  • Currently .XXX is averaging 125 – 150 new registrations per day
  • $25 million in revenues in the 4th quarter for ICM Registry
  • Around 132,000 are normal registrations, which they classified as “recurring revenue domains”
  • Actual number of “built out sites” that they are aware of and can acknowledge is 27,555 at this point

Lawley went on to highlight some of the most expensive and “premium” triple X domains sold to date, which were Gay.XXX for $500,000, Fetish.XXX for $300,000, Shemales.XXX for $200,000, Toys.XXX for $125,000, Sexy.XXX for $100,000, Dating.XXX for $100,000, FootFetish.XXX for $89,000. In a more recent interview with Bloomberg just this past weekend Lawley mentioned that they also just sold Movies.XXX for $100,000.

Lack of any “real” developments…

Now it’s only been approximately 5 month’s that the general public have had the opportunity to freely register any available .XXX domain that they desire, at any one of their favorite domain registrar’s such as Go Daddy or Register.com for example, and then be able to immediately develop their domain in any way they choose.  We would not have thought that only 61 domains in total would be ranking inside the top 1,000,000 most visited sites in the world. That number was suppose to be exponentially higher by all accounts even a few month’s in, which we now are well into 2012, however reality says otherwise.

It is still very early on in the game as some would argue for this year old extension, but the numbers and data which DNN uncovered speak for itself as far as development of these newly available domains go. The concrete data shows that there is a huge disconnect somewhere. For the ICM Registry and hopeful .XXX domain investors that have spent $80 – $100 on average per registration, it is nothing really to get overly excited about, so far into this journey.

Many .XXX domains have been registered at this point, that is old news already. Some have been developed of course, most commonly as YouTube style video portals serving up adult content. Very few of the sites using the DOT XXX extension are taking off though and generating the buzz and activity that a website requires in order to become profitable and a success over the long run.

This begs the question, does the new .XXX extension really help you if you are running an adult oriented website, or is it going to do just the opposite and backfire at a certain point, and hurt your online image, website traffic, etc.? Well established companies from the adult industry and the thousands of TGP/Tube/Freebie adult site operators don’t seem to be rushing to switch over their existing sites to the newly available .XXX domains.

.XXX has a long way to go…

For those wondering about some comparisons, we’ve got that for you too. It’s been two years since the .CO extension was re-launched, making a huge splash within the domainer community and generating a ton of buzz in the mainstream world. The “hip and new” ccTLD which is operated by .CO Internet S.A.S  has been unrestricted (available for anybody to register throughout the world) since July of 2011, and it currently has 1,367 domains inside the top 1,000,000 according to Alexa.com.

More than half of the sites found in Alexa’s comprehensive ranking of the top 1,000,000 sites in the world are using the dot COM (.com) extension, 542,769 sites to be exact.

It’s highly unlikely, without a major paradigm shift, that .XXX or any other newly introduced extension in the near future will ever dominate Alexa’s list. Other new gTLD extensions that plan to roll out an extension targeting a niche (like .xxx) or a broader-based audience (like .co) should take heed of the growth patterns evident here and plan accordingly.

The Female Orgasm

In a recent survey, 8 out of 10 women who use vibrators use the vibe on the clitoris to achieve orgasm rather than insert it vaginally.  That’s because only 24% of women achieve orgasm through penetration, Duh!

And did you know that having an orgasm relieves menstrual cramps because the vigorous muscle contractions move blood and other fluids away from the congested organs?  An orgasm is also thought to shorten the length of your period.

Oh and did you know that the vagina and the eyes are both self-cleaning organs?  Well, now you do.  🙂

World’s Strongest Vagina

Meet Tatiata Kozhevnikova, the 42-year-old Russian woman with the world’s strongest vagina. No, seriously, she broke records to attain that title. Incredibly enough, she lifted 14 kilograms worth of weights– almost 31 pounds– to achieve such notoriety. She has been exercising her intimate muscles for fifteen years, and has already made her entrance into the Guinness Book of Records as the possessor of the world’s strongest vagina. “After I had a child, my intimate muscles got unbelievably weak. I read books on Dao and learned that ancient women used to deal with this problem using wooden balls,” she said.
