HOLLYWOOD, CA – Splash is making an appearance on April 9, 2022, at Creativo’s ‘Vogue’ which is being shown during Bitcoin week. Bitcoin 2022, or simply Miami Bitcoin, started on April 6 at the Miami Beach Convention Center.

TAMPA, FL (SEPTEMBER 22nd, 2017) – The 25th Annual NightMoves Awards (http://nightmovesonline.com/) will take place at the Tampa Gold Club, 6222 East Adamo Drive in Tampa, Florida. Doors will open to the public at 7:00pm on Sunday evening October 8th. The weekend starts Thursday, October 5 when the first “Star Caravan” visits 4-Play Gentlemen’s Club. The following night the stars travel to Bare Assets. Saturday afternoon features FanFest at the Clearwater Clarion Hotel Ballroom and that evening the “Star Caravan” invades the world famous 2001 Odyssey! The wild and crazy weekend concludes Sunday night at the Tampa Gold Club followed by the official “After Party” at Emperors Gentlemen’s Club.

The NightMoves® Awards, started in 1993, is the third oldest and continuously running adult awards show in the United States, trailing only the AVN Awards and the XRCO Awards. To be considered eligible, a movie has to have been released between June 16, 2016 and June 15, 2017. Individual Awards are also based on this same time frame except for those in the “New Starlet” category, whose performances between January 1, 2016 and June 15, 2017 qualify.

Fans and industry people were able to log their votes for their favorite adult performers, directors, films, and feature dancers while local (Tampa Bay) people voted for their favorite clubs, video stores, dancers, bartenders, and DJs. The voting period ran from July 15 through September 15 and is now closed.

The NightMoves® Awards were the first to allow fans to select their winners, making it the original Fan-Based Awards, as well as the first awards show to allow on-line voting. In addition to the Fan Awards, the show presents Editor’s Choice awards, based on reviews of DVDs in which nominated performers have appeared.

The NightMoves® Awards are more than a one-night awards show; it is a fun-filled, exciting, ultra-busy weekend that includes "Star Caravan" events at local nightclubs and multiple radio appearances. The show will be held in Tampa, Florida Sunday, October 8 at The Tampa Gold Club. Stars arrive in Tampa Bay on October 5 and visit area clubs Thursday-Saturday nights. Miami based pornstars Sara Jay & Angelina Castro are happy to announce that the much anticipated & talked about #TeamBJ Twitter Event went off without a hitch on Thursday with a live event that was filmed for an upcoming DVD & streamed live.  The two popular stars pledged on twitter to give all of their followers a BJ if the Miami Heat won the NBA title, using the hashtag #TeamBJNBA (http://www.officialteambj.com).   After the Heat won, Sara Jay & Angelina Castro vowed to honor the twitter pledge.  The resulting press & publicity was worldwide…with mentions on the CNN’s Piers Morgan Show & appearances by Jay & Castro on FX Network’s the Russell Brand Show – not to mention threats from the National Basketball Association (‘NBA’) to sue.  Sports writers jokingly dubbed the #TeamBJ Event ‘the most important basketball event of the summer’.  Sara Jay is an Urban X Hall of Fame winner & just became a Fleshlight Girl.  Angelina Castro was named one of XBIZ’s Top 100 Newsmakers in 2011.  Both girls are part of Vicky Vette’s VNA Girls Network of Websites (http://www.vnagirls.com.) 

 

Thankfully, the followers on twitter brave enough to claim their prize got their promised rewards on Thursday.  The #TeamBJ Event was streamed live crashing the hosting company’s server in the process with the mass of people trying to watch.  One of the followers ‘Cody’ who attended the event & participated was quoted as saying: “Meeting Sara Jay, who is one of my top 5 favorite adult film stars of all time and Angelina Castro who I can never stop watching… is so worth every second of it.  I wouldn’t trade this experience for anything even if I knew that there would be keyboard warriors out there trolling about me. The duo plan to release a full length DVD of the #TeamBJ Event for release later this year with all the BTS Footage of the drama behind the Event front and center.

As for the results on twitter, Sara Jay has almost 250,000 followers, up from her starting point of 160,000 & Angelina Castro has over 112,000 followers, up from about 60,000.  What’s next for #TeamBJ?  The VNA Network’s Vicky Vette is quoted as saying, “It takes an awful amount of balls to go through with a #TeamBJ Event (no pun intended).  It’s a lot of stress on the girls.. even if it’s a ton of publicity.   We did #TeamBJ with the World Cup in 2010 & the NBA in 2012. Sara Jay says STOP PRETENDING TO BE ME!

From LUKEISBACK – Popular adult Superstar Sara Jay  is happy to announce that she & Brazzers have mutually agreed to resolve a hard fought lawsuit filed by Jay over a website called “SaraJayBlog.com”.  The popular star sued Brazzers claiming it had set up the Blog through an Affiliate with the express purpose of impersonating her and stealing traffic.  Brazzers disputed Sara Jay’s claims, asserting, among other things that it was not responsible for the actions of an affiliate that was sending it traffic.  Jay asserted that Brazzers was engaging in an industry wide practice of setting up similar blogs to ‘impersonate’ girls in the business to get traffic & sales.

After the case was filed, the Blog was taken down.  Brazzers tried to have the entire case thrown out by the trial court claiming Jay’s claims were barred by an arbitration agreement in a modeling release Jay had signed which Brazzers said also gave it the right to ‘promote’ images it owned in whatever manner it saw fit. After losing those arguments at the trial court level, Brazzers took an appeal up to the Court of Appeal which it lost resulting in an award of costs in Jay’s favor.

The case was ordered into mediation where the parties agreed to resolve the case with Brazzers agreeing Jay had the right to try and get the domain back for herself.
Sara Jay is quoted as saying: “I sued because there was a Blog out there purporting to be my ‘official’ blog which sent all the traffic – and sales – to Brazzers.   Needless to say, I take any attempt to use my name to make money of my name very seriously.  We won at the Trial Court & Court of Appeal levels.

However, with the blog now gone & Brazzers agreeing it would not stand in the way me getting back the url, settling made sense.   We were both incurring massive amounts of time, legal expenses & costs – time I could be spending shooting or on my career. I’d rather be on set having sex for my fans than in a court room.  It was a bitter battle with Brazzers & but it was better for both sides to resolve it.”

Of legal interest in the case was Brazzers’ claim that it had given an oral agreement for one Brazzers entity to use the model release rights to all other Brazzers entities.  The Court of Appeal found that an oral agreement pertaining to matters that are the subject of copyright (such as photographs) is invalid unless in writing.  (See attached.)  The court found that taking out the domain name “SaraJayBlog.Com” was not permitted by the Brazzers contract that Ms. Jay had signed.  It held that Ms. Jay’s “suit does not involve the subject matter of the [Brazzers’ entity] contract”.  Whether this judicial ruling will cause Brazzers to change its policy of promoting its websites using domain names of the actresses with whom it has signed releases remains to be seen.

Sara Jay notes: “It’s amazing what companies are trying to do based on purported ‘modeling releases’. All I can say is… be careful what you sign.”
