The collective breath the adult entertainment industry has been holding while it anticipates the announcement of the nominees for the AVN Awards can be exhaled. The highly sought-after list of nominees for the 2013 AVN Awards has arrived.

A committee of 10 AVN critics spent close to a month and a half compiling nominations in over 130 categories recognizing companies, talent, technicians and creative professionals across the spectrum of the adult entertainment industry.

Several new categories were created to reflect the ever-evolving market trends of the business; these include Best Star Showcase (a movie centered around one female performer by both incorporating her name into its title and featuring her in all of its sex scenes), Best Romance Release (a title with a romance theme/storyline marketed specifically toward women or couples and/or released under a Romance or Couples-Themed line) and Best Transsexual Sex Scene.

Additionally, a number of formerly familiar categories have been reintroduced to the awards as the market has expanded accordingly. Back for 2013 are Best New Production Company and Best Continuing Series (which was previously known as Best All-Sex/Vignette Series.)

Finishing up the housekeeping, Best Feature has been renamed Best Drama in order to properly complement Best Comedy, and Best All-Sex Release – Mixed Format has been retitled Best Wall-to-Wall Release for those releases that mix scene genres between gonzo, vignette and all-sex.

“Everybody on our nominations committee has literally poured their blood, sweat and tears into producing this list over the past six or so weeks, and I can honestly say that in my almost decade at AVN, I don’t think we’ve ever done a more meticulous and thorough job,” AVN Senior Editor Peter Warren said. “I am very pleased with the nominees we’ve come up with, and wish them all a stupendous weekend basking in the glow of being recognized.”

AVN Managing Editor Steve Javors echoed his colleague’s comments.

“I’m really proud of the work the nominations committee did,” he said. “The 30th anniversary of the most important night in adult entertainment is something we all took seriously, and being an AVN award nominee is a big point of pride. Rightfully so. Our nominees should be congratulated and recognized for a job well done. On behalf of everyone at AVN, we appreciate all your contributions to the world of adult entertainment.”

The announcement of those individuals elected to the AVN Hall of Fame will be made in the coming days.

When I read that bullshit on AdultFYI it just pissed me off.

As with any story we’ve ever posted on this site, we don’t know if this story is true or not BUTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT Mike South recently hinted [source] at one hell of a shake down that may be in the works in regards to Manwin and some serious legal troubles.

 

“But there maybe a light at the end of the tunnel, it seems the FBI made a statement in a recent story that they were being careful not to jeopardize an ongoing investigation in an adult company with ties to laundering money through Isreal….Interesting….Mansef which was Manwin before Fabian was put in place forfeited over 12 million dollars to make illegal money transfer charges go away…the country they were laundering through…Isreal.”

I was once told Fabian said he doesn’t give two shits about the FBI because his company isn’t in the US and doesn’t have to play by their rules. So wonder how this will play out.

 

 

Universal Studios Sues Porn Co.’s Are Ripping Off ’50 Shades of Grey’

TMZ is reporting [source] that Universal Studios is pissed off about some porn companies over their parody or so called parody of 50 Shades of Grey.  They are claiming the works weren’t a a parody and in fact were stealing the movie rights.  They are also going after those companies who made the “50 Shades” themed sex toys.  The so called parodies lifted exact dialog, characters, events stories and even the style of the Fifty Shades trilogy … at least they did in the Smash  Pictures one. I suspect things are going to get down right ugly on this one.

You can’t just shoot a filthy porno and call it “50 Shades of Grey” — at least according to Universal Studios, which is now suing several XXX companies for ripping off its “50 Shades” movie rights.Universal filed the lawsuit against three porn companies, claiming they illegally made an unauthorized film — called “Fifty Shades of Grey: a XXX Adaptation” — as well as bootleg “50 Shades”-themed sex toys.Universal — along with Fifty Shades Ltd. — claims the film isn’t parody, and therefore isn’t protected under the First Amendment.According to the suit, “The first XXX adaptation … does not comment on, criticize, or ridicule the originals. It is a rip-off, plain and simple.”The suit continues, “By lifting exact dialogue, characters, events, story, and style from the Fifty Shades trilogy, [producer] Smash Pictures ensured that the first XXX adaptation was, in fact, as close as possible to the original works.”

The suit claims two additional XXX films are currently in the works — and an accompanying sex toy set called “Fifty Shades of Pleasure” has already been released.

Universal wants damages — plus an injunction blocking any further releases of the film.

So far, no gag orders have been issued.

So I don’t think there are many chances of that consider she’s doing quite well with her mainstream Hollywood career. Keeping in mind she already has 5 movies due out in the next year or so, she was also in recent movies like Easy A, The Help, The Amazing Spider Man (2012 version – just out on DVD now) and Superbad just to name a few.

Radar online is saying “Emma’s really happy with her career and proud of where she is.” and “There’s no way she would organize the release of the tape; in fact, she would fight to stop it. She has no respect for women like Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton who became famous because they released a sex tape.”

Speaking of Kim Kardashian – it looks like the Kanye West sex tape with the Kim Kardashian look-a=like is still in play (at least as of November 9th reports) and if the price is right (and my sources say that price is the pulling of the Kim Kardashian sex tape from the market) then the Kanye West one will come out.

The “Spider-Man” actress allegedly made the film before meeting her current boyfriend, Andrew Garfield. It is said to be in the possession of the sex partner.

Emma Stone may be joining the ranks of Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton.

The “Gangster Squad” actress recorded a sex tape, and it’s not with her current beau, Andrew Garfield, a source told RadarOnline.com.

The 24-year-old starlet reportedly filmed the racy video before meeting her “Spider-Man” co-star.

“She was just young and probably thought nothing would ever come of it,” the insider explained.

The X-rated tape hasn’t surfaced yet. However, it’s apparently not in Stone’s possession.

“The tape remains in the hands of the person she made it with,” said the source, whom Radar identifies as a close friend of the actress.

“But that doesn’t mean there’s any guarantee that it won’t eventually hit the market. The higher Emma’s star rises, the more valuable that tape becomes.”

In any case, Stone won’t be exploiting the scandalous reel for her benefit.

Majority of porn viewers watch at work

Well, here’s an embarrassing way to get fired.

There’s a time and place for everything, and pornography enthusiasts may need to be reminded of this adage.

According to Dr. Christopher Ahlers, a sex therapist from Berlin, a staggering amount of people view porn from their work computers.

“Modern viewing of porn is no longer something in which strange individuals are engaged in quiet rooms in video booths,” Ahlers said.

Apparently, titillating videos are now enjoyed in cubicles around the world. At an Austrian conference on sexual behaviors, Ahlers claimed that of the 60 million people who log on daily to a free pornography website, about two-thirds of them are logging on from an office computer.

Ahler’s claim isn’t out of left field. The Washington Times reported that in 2009, an investigation at the National Science Foundation found that a senior executive spent a total of 331 days checking out porn on his government-issued computer. What’s more, Bloomberg revealed that a memo written by the Pentagon ordered employees to stop “engaging in inappropriate content at work.” The memo added that employees were “accessing Web sites and transmitting messages containing pornographic or sexually explicit images.” I’m all for online surf breaks, but we may be getting just a little too comfortable with our at-work Internet habits.

According to Ahlers, while the first wave of the public’s porn viewing seems to happen during office hours, the second daily wave occurs after dark.

“The second peak is from viewers at home after midnight,” Ahlers explained. Definitely a more suitable venue.

Other studies have confirmed that excessive pornography habits do cause relationship issues. And with Ahler’s recent claim, porn may be causing problems for people in the workplace as well. A 2011 ruling by the U.S. Court of Appeals says employees can legally be fired for looking at pornography on an office computer.

I suppose the phrase “NSFW” exists for a reason.
