The Dark Knight XXX gets ‘5A’ AVN Review

AXEL BRAUN EARNS FOURTH CONSECUTIVE ‘5A’ AVN REVIEW IN A YEAR FOR VIVID’S “THE DARK KNIGHT XXX”

The Dark Knight XXX: A Porn Parody, the newest adult parody from Axel Braun and Vivid Entertainment, has earned the coveted AAAAA critical rating from AVN.com, the website of Adult Video News. It is the fourth consecutive release from Braun and Vivid to earn AVN’s highest rating in the past 12 months.

Dark Night XXX

Within the last year, Braun has earned 5A ratings for Star Wars XXX: A Porn Parody; Avengers XXX: A Porn Parody and Spider-Man XXX: A Porn Parody, which won 2012 AVN Awards in the Best Parody-Drama, and Best Cinematography categories. Braun also won the Director of the Year-Body of Work award for the second year in a row.

It is quite a thrill to see my movies be so successful both financially and critically,” said Braun. “I have the constant support of an amazing company, and the priceless help of a terrific crew. We all work very hard to bring these projects to life and to make them as entertaining and as exciting as possible, and receiving a ‘perfect review’ from AVN is an incredible honor.

In his review of The Dark Knight XXX: A Porn Parody, writer Carlos Colon said, “Axel Braun handles the gloomy seriousness of Christopher Nolan’s Batman universe every bit as deftly here as he did the Technicolor campiness of the ’60s TV show in 2011 AVN Best Parody – Comedy winner Batman XXX: A Porn Parody.”  He added, “For those disappointed by (the mainstream) Dark Knight Rises—and there are many—this may serve as a refreshing antidote. For others just seeking some red-hot Bat-action, they’ll be downright enthralled. Either way, the ending leaves things wide open for a sequel, so expect more Dark Knight dirtiness to come.”

Playboy TV Sucks … Here Comes Vivid TV

Playboy TV is great in concept.  You take the wonderfully fabulous Playboy brand of high quality, beautiful girls they have in their magazine and put them on an erotic TV channel. But that’s not what Playboy TV has turned out to be at all.  Instead they hired the likes of producers like Bill Fisher who make nothing short of trash TV with low quality girls that have nothing whatsoever to do with the Playboy brand.  There is bad girls this, amateur that, Miami this.  What does any of that have to do with Playboy?

Nothing and yet Playboy was surprised their ratings were so extremely low for the struggling network.  Now they’ve given control of Playboy TV over to Manwin and of course all Playboy TV is now is an exploitation of Manwin owned properties.  Again still not a damn thing to do with Playboy the brand.  Stupid stupid stupid.  I’m not saying there isn’t a market for low quality programming but that isn’t what the Playboy brand is known for.  So why would you go against your brand and then be surprised that it’s failing? DUH!

But something interesting did happen today … Vivid Entertainment announced they’ve secured a deal with several major cable distributors to offer consumers Vivid TV and well this is kind of good news.  See Vivid at least knows the value of their brand and you can expect to see quality VIVID programming or Vivid related programming on VIVID TV.  It seems they will offer both the monthly subscription model like HBO does (pay a monthly fee for everything) and then there will be the pay per view option as well.

To run their new Vivid TV product they’ve brought in some fancy pants exec from New Frontier Media.  I really have a good feeling about Vivid TV.  I think it has a lot of potential and I for one can’t wait to check it out!

The Dark Knight XXX Gets Rave Reviews

RAVE REVIEWS AND RECORD SALES FOR AXEL BRAUN’S “THE DARK KNIGHT XXX” FROM VIVID ENTERTAINMENT

DVD copies of “The Dark Knight XXX: A Porn Parody,” began arriving in adult stores across the country today and were immediately scooped up by an eager public. Early reviews raved about the film, directed by Axel Braun and distributed by Vivid Entertainment, which has been available online at vivid.com since July 10th.

“Great great sex and really phenomenal costumes,” reviewer Christopher Thorne wrote in XCritic.com, one of the premier sites devoted to reviews of adult movies. “‘The Dark Knight’ is shot extremely well and has the look and feel of a major production. The real highlight of the film is the end action scenes which shows off what Axel Braun can really do,” Thorne added as he gave the film a “highly recommended” rating.

Art Koch gave the movie “5 out of 5 Stars” in All Adult Network and Night Moves Magazine, noting, “Just when you think nothing can be topped, Axel Braun comes along and presents the ‘The Dark Knight: A Porn Parody.’ The talk, buzz, and hype have been going on for months about this film and it certainly lives up to all of it and more. ‘The Dark Knight XXX’ is a must see, so run, do not walk to your favorite video store when this film hits the streets in a few days. It is destined to be a porn film classic.”

The movie has already attracted mainstream attention, such as a story on popular website Ain’t It Cool that noted, “whatever one may think of ‘porn’ on the whole…Axel is 1) an uber-Geek with both an understanding of/respect for the source material he lampoons; and 2) cares enough to bring surprisingly high quality design and production value to his projects.” Jack Trigger of MajorSpoilers.com, called the movie an “awesomely awesome bit of awesome.”

In the article “A is for Alfred, B is for Batmobile: Dark Knight A-Z”, Australian mainstream outlet NEWS.com.au has the following at the letter X: “You know your career is in a bad place when a porn film looks better than your multi-million dollar, star-studded, Hollywood films. Costume shots from Axel Braun’s Batman porn parody The Dark Knight XXX caused a stir on geek site Ain’t It Cool – but not because they were shocking or explicit, but because they looked frighteningly good. “Already looks better than the Schumacher films” was the damning comment.

Braun — who won 2012 AVN Award for the Best Parody, Best Parody Drama and Best Cinematography categories and earned the Director of the Year (Body of Work) award for the second year in a row – said he was thrilled with the early response to the film. “From everything I’m hearing we are also shattering records for adult DVD sales and streaming downloads from vivid.com. We put a lot of passion into this film, so the early response is very gratifying.

More Security Fuck Ups at Vivid?

I clicked someone affiliate link today for Vivid Entertainment and instead of their website loading I got a creepy looking error page instead.

I showed it to a friend and she was quick to discount it by saying oh that’s an old link.  Some affiliate didn’t update their links.  Really?  That makes it okay?  I thought affiliate programs redirected old links to the new ones so that webmasters with older links out there, didn’t get scammed out of potential lost income when the company makes changes to their linking structure?  Apparently not.

Allie Haze Leaves Vivid

Allie Haze Announces Amicable Departure from Vivid

The 2012 XCritic.com & TLARaw.com Performer of the Year Pursues More Diverse Visibility!

Adult superstar Allie Haze announces her amicable departure from Vivid Entertainment.  During her yearlong contract with Vivid, Allie starred in notable features (“Star Wars XXX: A Porn Parody”) and vignettes (“Allie Haze: True Sex”).  Coupled with the success of 2011 releases, such as New Sensations’ “Lost and Found,” Allie was named the 2012 Performer of the Year by XCritic.com and TLARaw.com.  Interested in pursuing more diverse visibility, Allie is taking her career in a new direction – one sure to excite her fans.

“I learned so much about myself and this amazing industry during my time with Vivid,” says Allie Haze.  “I am forever grateful to everyone at Vivid who helped shape my career into what it is today.”  Allie continues, “I’m thrilled about this next phase.  There are many great producers in the industry and each has been supportive of my career.  I’m not sure yet which direction I will go, but the options are limitless and I feel blessed.  This is a great time to be an adult performer!”

Allie Haze is represented by LA Direct Models.  Owner Derek Hay states, “Allie has shown great poise and dedication in her year with Vivid.  She has shown maturity beyond her years in her movie performances and handled her appearance and convention work, in an exemplary manner.  Once more a free agent – no doubt many studios will wish to include Allie in their movies.”

When announcing Allie as the 2012 Performer of the Year, XCritic.com Editor Chris Thorne wrote, “Allie Haze showed that the girl next door could be sweet, charming, and absolutely naughty.  She helped make ‘Lost and Found’ our top pick for the year and then showed just how hot she could get in ‘Raw 6’…Allie Haze breathed life in a tough year for porn, she was exactly what the industry needed, exactly when it needed it.”

Fans and consumers of TLARaw.com cast their votes by the thousands to make Allie the site’s 2012 Performer of the Year.  The honor followed her TLARaw.com 2011 award for Best New Starlet.  The site commented, “Allie Haze clearly has fans in TLA customers because this year, they bestowed upon her the most important award possible for any adult performer, Female Performer of the Year.  Led by her dark, milk chocolate tinged nipples, it would be an understatement to say this past year was huge for Allie.  Starring in nearly every porn movie filmed between July and October, Allie was also present at almost every adult industry event that occurred… even some that didn’t actually happen but Allie was there just in case they did…We can only imagine how high this stunner’s star will rise in the industry…”

Allie’s success has transcended the adult industry.  In addition to landing numerous magazine covers, the all-natural brunette found mainstream success.  Under the name Brittney Joy, she was selected to star in 7 mainstream feature films in the remake of the famed “Emmanuelle” series.  After being showcased at the Cannes Film Festival, the series made its television debut on Cinemax in October 2011.

About Allie Haze:  Born in a town called Redlands, in the Inland Empire community of Southern California, Allie burst upon the adult industry scene in June of 2009.  She quickly captured the attention of internet and feature DVD companies, along with well known magazine publications (Hustler Taboo Centerfold, Feb. ‘10 and Hustler Barley Legal Cover Girl, June ’10).  By the end of 2010, Allie had solidly positioned herself as a rising star with leading companies like Girlfriends Films, Evil Angel, and New Sensations.  The Best New Starlet nominations started rolling in, starting with AVN & XBIZ and culminating with receiving XRCO’s

Best New Starlet award.  Allie also earned her first AVN award – Most Outrageous Scene for Belladonna’s “Fetish Fanatic 8.”  At the same time, Allie found success in mainstream film, cast as the new “Emmanuelle” for the remake of the hit show from the 70s and 80s.  To promote the film, Allie traveled to the 2011 Cannes Film Festival 2011 prior to the October 2011 release on Cinemax.  In May 2011, Allie signed an exclusive contract with Vivid, appearing as Princess Leia in “Star Wars XXX: A Porn Parody.”  Female Performer of the Year awards from XCritic.com and TLARaw.com and highly visible hosting jobs for G4TV have Allie at the top of her game.  Now Allie Haze is taking the next step in her career, inviting her fans to come along for the ride.  For more information, visit www.AllieHaze.com.

Another FAKE twitter account

It seems anymore there are more fakers out there and a good number of the fake porn star profiles come from Vivid Cash affiliates “Your Vixens” formerly “Vivid Vixens”.  Today we are highlighting the fake profile they created for fromer Vivid contract star Hanna Hilton.  The fake profile in question is …… @TheHannaHilton

TheHannaHilton on Twitter is Fake

TheHannaHilton on twitter is not the real Hanna Hilton

Notice they don’t say “fan profile” or “dedicated to”.  Instead they try and play it off like the profile actually belongs to Hanna Hilton.

These douche bags have created fake profiles for many other porn stars including Lacei Heart, Meggan Mallone, Gianna Michaels and Lanny Barby where they at one time pretended she killed herself.  So what they do isn’t just to make money, they also fuck with the fans.  What kind of sick fuck does shit like that?

And even worse, why does Vivid allow it?

On this Hanna Hilton fake account they tweet things pretending to be her and say things like “Starting to get sleepy finally. Good to talk you all. #Kisses” and “Going to a shoot later on. Nothing big but glad to be getting out there again.”

Steve Hirsch Takes on Rick Santorum

VIVID ENTERTAINMENT HEAD STEVEN HIRSCH SAYS RICK SANTORUM AND ACTIVIST MALIKA SAADA SAAR ARE BOTH OUT OF TOUCH ON PORN ISSUE

Hirsch Argues Women Are In Control Of Adult Movie Production and Female Viewership has Doubled

Steven Hirsch, founder and co-chairman of leading adult movie studio Vivid Entertainment, says both presidential hopeful Rick Santorum and blogger/activist Malika Saada Saar are wrong in their anti-porn stands.

“I have always found it interesting that some people feel compelled to control the lives of others,” says Mr. Hirsch in an article written for The Huffington Post. “These self-appointed morality police believe they are better suited than you to decide what you can watch and what you should think. They want laws passed that take away our First Amendment freedoms; we should all hope that they do not succeed.”

He rejected a call by Mr. Santorum for a ban on pornographic movies and websites, allegedly because “obscenity” causes brain damage, ruins marriages, leads to prostitution and sex trafficking, and “contributes to misogyny and violence against women.” He also disputed an argument by Ms. Saar, writing in her Huffington Post blog, that “mainstream porn is now hard-core and celebrates the debasement of the female body.” Saar said she is “disappointed by the left’s summary dismissal of Santorum’s proposed idea to ban porn.”

“Speaking for myself and my company, Vivid Entertainment, I believe that Ms. Saar and Mr. Santorum are out of touch. Their arguments don’t hold up to scrutiny. Let’s look at the facts: The FBINational Crime Victimization SurveyCenters for Disease Control and Prevention, and other credible organizations actually report a drop in rapes, teen pregnancies and sex crimes since 1991, when porn first became widely available on the Internet,” Hirsch writes.

“Allegations of misogyny are also untrue. Women increasingly control the adult business. There are many women who own adult companies. Women decide which movies they want to perform in, what scenes they are comfortable with and who their partners will be. No woman is forced to act in an adult film; they do so of their own free will,” he added, noting that two of Vivid’s most popular directors “are women who have won multiple awards for their work — Kimberly Kane and Tristan Taormino.”

“Even in the medical community prominent couples therapists frequently recommend that their patients watch adult films to help strengthen their relationships. Would this make sense if women were being degraded? Would doctors dare even consider such treatments if this were the case?” Hirsch asked. “In summary, this is 2012, and many women like to watch porn, and therefore companies like ours celebrate women and their power in our movies. We are hardly ‘waging a war on women’ as Ms. Saar suggests. To the contrary, women speak to us loud and clear from the marketplace, with female viewership of our programming more than doubling in the last ten years.”

About Steven Hirsch: Steven Hirsch is the founder and co-chairman of leading adult film studio Vivid Entertainment. Vivid: Founded in 1984, Vivid has always placed heavy emphasis on high quality erotic film entertainment and has created wide brand-name awareness through its films and the www.vivid.com website, an innovative marketing and a licensing program that extends to advertising, apparel, book publishing and a range of other products. Mr. Hirsch was honored in 2012 with the first AVN Visionary Award as a leader who “has propelled innovation and taken his company and the business as a whole to new heights.” In addition to its Vivid-Celeb imprint famous for celebrity sex tapes, the company is known for its Vivid Super XXX Heroes parodies and award-winning feature films.
