Two Best Actor Nominations and a Trio of Best Sex Scene Nods

Porn Valley’s Biggest Actor Worked His Way Up From the Bottom – Twice!

VENICE, CA – When Seth Gamble arrived in Porn Valley he had already been working for two years for Bang Bros and shot 500 scenes, but he didn’t find that his Florida experience didn’t matter: he pretty much had to start from scratch.

In a revealing interview with Bryan Burga’s High Spot Podcast Adventures With a Trendsetter, Seth talks about that transition and how he made that move hoping to get work in features, but it wasn’t easy. It’s almost hard to believe that today’s top leading man in adult struggled to get in foot in the door in West Coast porn, but it’s a tough business for guys even when they show up with a packed East Coast resume.

“My whole goal coming to LA was that I wanted to be in features, I wanted to be in large movies, acting was always something I was interested in and when I came to LA I took acting classes, I honed my craft, because I liked doing both and it added another layer,” Seth says. “It was disheartening to come here and realize that I had to start all over. I felt like, having shot 500 scenes in Florida, that I’d earned my stripes.”

But that experience did pay off. In Florida where the crop tends to be fresher meat, he learned quickly how to control a scene, so when Porn Valley directors first worked with him they realized that even though he wasn’t familiar to them, the man knew what he was doing.

Today he is the star of several of the hottest features to come out of Porn Valley. He stars in the #1 movie on AVN’s Top 100 Sales & Rentals chart, Fallen II: Angels & Demons (Wicked), directed by Brad Armstrong. He’s the lead in Axel Braun’s new parody Deadpool XXX and also Mr. Hyde in Braun’s The Possession of Mrs. Hyde (Wicked), co-starring with Best New Starlet Avi Love. He also stars in The Countdown, The Nerd’s Revenge and The Sting (Pure Taboo), directed by Craven Moorehead and Bree Mills, as well as their latest project, the 6-scene parody Anne: A Taboo Parody.

Earlier this year, Will Ryder tapped him for The Cursed XXX (Adam & Eve), an original feature from the legendary director. He also starred in Stormy Daniels’ feature about online dating, The Set Up, as well as her Never Forgotten (both Wicked Pictures), a romantic feature set in the 1940s, both of which were released in spring. And, of course, there are countless more movies of virtually every variety imaginable.

Asked by Burga who his acting influences were when he was growing up, Seth points to legends like Steve McQueen, Jack Nicholson and Marlon Brando. And he knew that acting was something that would make him – male talent – stick out in an industry where men are known rarely and barely with few exceptions.

“As a male performer, my job is to make the girl look good, if I get some stardom out of it, great,” he says, “but my job is to do a scene and to present the girl as something as amazing as I can, I’m not the star of the show. And that’s okay with me. But when you do some acting, they see a little more of you than just being the dick.”

The fascinating interview runs nearly an hour and 20 minutes and covers Seth and the adult industry in a way that rarely gets this kind of coverage. Seth shows himself, at 30, capable of taking a serious look at himself and an endlessly interesting subject.

“I’ve always surrounded myself with people smarter than me,” he says. “I’ve always had the mindset that I wanted to learn from the next person. I cling onto people who have more knowledge than me. To me it’s just learning things I don’t know. I try never to be one of those guys who thinks I know too much. At the end of the day, I don’t know a lot of shit. It’s better to take away the pride and ask for more information. That way I’m not the jackass trying to talk about things I don’t know.”

Writer-Director Bree Mills Churns Out Another Classic With This 6-Scene Parody

VENICE, CA – If it’s a monster release in 2018, you can bet it stars Seth Gamble.

The latest is Anne from Pure Taboo. Written by award-winning director Bree Mills and co-directed by Mills and Craven Moorehead, Anne is a 6-scene parody, the twisted story of an orphaned teen who finds herself in some very dicey and sexy situations. A lot of people really want to see basically everything Axel does and these two movies are entirely different offerings, so it’s a cool opportunity for people to see just how broad his talents are.”

The hunky Seth is no stranger to Axel’s movies having starred as Luke Skywalker in Star Wars XXX, the most successful movie in adult history, as well as 24 XXX and Suicide Squad XXX, both of which won Movie of the Year, Cinderella XXX, Suicide Squad XXX and was the lead in Deadpool XXX. He is one of the industry’s most respected actors and went to acting school for two years and studied the Meisner technique.

“I have to say it’s always an amazing opportunity to work for Axel,” says Gamble. “He has always believed in me which I’ve always felt deep gratitude for that. In playing Edward Hyde I really dug deep.”

Seth poured his heart and soul into the project, holding nothing back from the famous director.

“When we discussed the role I was completely honored to take it on for the personal nature of the project for the Braun family,” Gamble continues. “I challenged myself by digging into my own personal demons to methodically play the character. I have to say playing this role was by far the most personal I have ever gone with a character because I believed in the entirety of the production from the cast and crew and everything in between. It was an honor to play this role and I’m excited for the reveal of this production I put my heart into.”

Seth has two XBIZ Best Actor trophies, a pair of NightMoves Best Male Performer wins among several others. He clearly has the chops and an appreciative director eager to cast him — Seth has appeared in titles directed by Axel numbering well into the double digits.

“I can’t really say that Seth’s performance was a revelation,” says Axel, “because he’s proven to me over and over again that he can play any role and master it even beyond my expectations…but I will say this: there is no other adult actor who could have brought to life Mr. Hyde in a more perfectly nuanced, haunting, charismatic, and deeply disturbing way than Seth Gamble. This project has been 30 years in the making, and I am glad I’ve waited this long, because Seth truly made it the movie that my father, myself, and my son had envisioned.”

The Possession of Mrs. Hyde will be available on VOD Sept. 30.
