It’s on Biatch!

TMZ is reporting that former porn superstar Jenna Jameson was arrested for beating the shit out of someone Saturday night, which turned out to be a tranny named Britney Markham who was also a former porn performer and was now employed as Jenna’s assistant.  And someone who apparently stole several items from Jenna Jameson while Jenna was detained by the police.

Jenna tweeted an explanation of what happened, according to her but it has since been removed from her twitter feed.

WOW just got Robbed by a friend @britneymarkham she accused me of gusting her, and them broke into my home and took everything.

Jenna Jameson’s bday celebrations got off to a rocky start — the XXX star was arrested for battery Saturday night … before her shindig even kicked off.

Law enforcement sources tells us … Jameson was hanging out in the Balboa Peninsula neighborhood of Newport Beach around 8 pm … when she allegedly battered someone.

We’re told the alleged victim put Jameson under citizen’s arrest and then flagged down a police officer. The cop arrived and cited Jenna for battery. She was later released.

Jenna was supposed to attend an early birthday party at Heat Ultra Lounge in Anaheim later that night (real bday is April 9). No word if she made it or not.

Jenna’s no stranger to handcuffs … she was arrested for a DUI last year, after crashing her car into a light pole.

Interestingly enough a porn star, even if a former one, was a big story over at CNN. The CNN version of the story is a little more detailed than the TMZ one.  [source]

Former porn star Jenna Jameson was charged with battery over the weekend after police said she assaulted someone.

The incident took place in Orange County on Saturday evening, police said.

Authorities released bare-bones information about the incident Sunday night, saying little more than the person who was assaulted made a citizen’s arrest and called officers.

Jameson, 38, knows the person, but Newport Beach Police Lt. Evan Sailor said he didn’t know what their relationship was.

Police took Jameson to the Newport Beach Police Jail. She was later released without having to post bail.

The battery charge is a misdemeanor.

No one from the Jameson camp was available for comment.

On Sunday afternoon, however, Jameson took to Twitter to offer a post that said she was robbed by a friend who “broke into my home and took everything.”

Jameson added that the friend “accused me of gusting her.”

At the height of her success, Jameson was an industry unto herself. She appeared in countless adult films, magazines, and strip clubs — and as CEO of ClubJenna Inc., launched a film production and online licensing company.

In a 2004 interview with CNN following the publication of her book, “How to Make Love Like a Porn Star: A Cautionary Tale,” Jameson said she chose the right profession.

“I mean, I’ve always been so overtly sexual. And I’ve always been driven to succeed at something that hasn’t always been accepted by the American public,” she told CNN’s Anderson Cooper. “So I think I chose the right profession.”

She retired from porn in 2008.

In recent years, the mother of twins has found herself in the headlines for her brushes with the law.

Last May, she crashed her Range Rover into a light pole in Orange County. Police charged her with driving under the influence.

In April 2010, the father of her twin boys, mixed martial artist Tito Ortiz, was charged with domestic violence when Jameson’s father called police as Ortiz and Jameson argued.

Ortiz and his lawyer told reporters later that he was upset because he thought Jameson had relapsed in her rehabilitation from a prescription drug addiction.

Four days after the incident, Jameson was captured by cameras alternately saying Ortiz was “the sweetest, most amazing man” and saying that he had beaten her.

Man says he was kidnapped to give up Shaq sex tape

CNN is reporting that shit just got real in the Shaq sex tape scandal.  Some crazy fuckers kidnapped the guy who had it to try and get it. [source].

Seven alleged Los Angeles street gang members are charged with kidnapping and robbing a man who testified in court that they were after a Shaquille O’Neal sex tape he had.

Los Angeles prosecutors said they have not verified the sex tape, purportedly showing the retired basketball star having sex with several women, actually exists.

The alleged victim is Robert Ross, who said he was a member of the defendants’ Main Street Mafia Crips Gang before he became a music promoter.

Ross testified at the defendants’ preliminary hearing Monday that the gang members kidnapped him at gunpoint on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood, California, the night of the 2008 Grammy Awards.

They allegedly took him to the Los Angeles home of lead defendant Ladell Rowles.

“Defendant Rowles escorted victim Ross to a back room where he struck him with his handgun,” the criminal complaint said.  The men took Ross’ diamond chain, Rolex watch, diamond earrings and $15,000 in cash, the complaint said.

Ross, while on the witness stand, said it was then they demanded he hand over the videotape of O’Neal having sex with several women.

He testified that O’Neal knew through a mutual acquaintance that he had the videotape.

Ross, who said he was friends with O’Neal, testified that he tried to place music groups with O’Neal’s record label.

A prosecutor said O’Neal is not involved in the case.

O’Neal did not immediately respond to a CNN request for comment about the allegations in the case.

He recently announced his retirement as a pro basketball player after 19 years in the NBA.

The preliminary hearing, which began last week in Los Angeles Superior Court, was continued until next month.

Porn sites set to go .XXX

CNN is reporting on the release today of .xxx.  Just remember, you are judged by the company you keep so in buying a .xxx domain name it could limit you in your ability to do business with certain companies who have begun to put a ban on doing any sort of business with anyone who owns a .xxx domain name.

CNN – It’s either a new, safer era for adult content on the Web or the first step in creating a digital porn ghetto, depending upon who you ask.

On Tuesday at 11 a.m. ET, more than 100,000 websites are expected to go live with the new .xxx domain.

The suffix was approved as a “top-level domain” address last year by ICANN, the international not-for-profit that coordinates Web addresses. The idea, they say, is to more safely organize content that has become, like it or not, common on the Web.

“The Internet is home to a wealth of content, suitable for a wide range of ages and values,” reads a statement, which is responsible for handing out the new domain names. “The adult entertainment industry has, and always will, account for a large amount of this content and while it is enjoyed by some, it is not suitable, or of interest, to all Internet users.

“Regardless of your views on adult content, it’s here to stay, so let’s be adult about it.”

The group says that creating the suffix will act much like .gov, .edu or .org, giving Web users a heads-up about what sort of site they are visiting based on its Web address alone.

In theory, that would help keep people from stumbling into porn by accident and make it easier for parents to keep their children away from the sites. It also would let users who want to view adult content know that they’re visiting a safe, legitimate and legal site.

Porn, or the promise of porn, is frequently used online in suggestive links that mask viruses, phishing attempts and other harmful malware.

By applying for a .xxx site, webmasters, adult performers, studios and others become part of a “sponsored community,” agreeing to operate legally and within agreed-upon business standards. Each .xxx site will be scanned daily with McAfee protection tools, which ICM says will help make them among the Web’s safest destinations.

But as you might expect, not everyone is pleased with the move.

Some religious organizations have argued against the new .xxx names, saying that creating them amounts to an endorsement of porn.

“The establishment of a .xxx domain would increase, not decrease, the spread of pornography on the Internet, causing even more harm to children, families and communities,” said Patrick Trueman, CEO of Morality in Media and former chief of the U.S. Department of Justice Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section, when ICANN was voting on the plan.

The new .xxx sites will be tagged in a way that will make it easy for parents, employers or others to block them on their networks. Parents can block adult sites via parental-controls settings on most computers’ control panels or by installing parental-control software.

To protect their reputations against porn purveyors who might seek to capitalize on their name, some universities and businesses have bought .xxx domain names that correspond with their .edu or .com addresses. For example, Penn State in September paid $200 each for four .xxx domains: Penn State, PSU, Nittany Lions and The Pennsylvania State University, according to the university’s student newspaper.

The proliferation of .xxx addresses doesn’t mean porn will disappear from .com sites. Adult sites that buy a .xxx domain are free to keep their .com or other current URL as well.

Those who oppose the .xxx domains on moral or religious grounds are being joined by critics from the opposite end of the spectrum.

Some in the porn industry fear that creating the opt-in domain could just be a first step toward making it mandatory. Then, they say, it would make it all too easy for a government somewhere to censor adult content by simply blocking access to all .xxx sites.

Playboy had been leading the charge against the new branding.

Manwin, the Luxembourg-based company that runs Playboy.com and other adult sites, has filed suit in California to stop the implementation of .xxx and said last week that it won’t do business with or allow its content to be used on any sites using the suffix.

“We oppose the .XXX domain and all it stands for,” said Fabian Thylmann, managing partner of Manwin, in a news release. “It is my opinion that .XXX domain is an anticompetitive business practice that works a disservice to all companies that do business on the Internet.”

But not all in the industry are lined up against it.

“We believe the future of adult entertainment online is in the .xxx top level domain,” said Adam Osborn, head of digital at Paul Raymond Publications. “We see a huge benefit in the adult community having an online space dedicated to our content.”

The cost of registering a .xxx domain name can vary dramatically, from a few hundred dollars to simply keep someone else from using an address to much more for sites that may direct hundreds of URLs to the same content.

ICANN has established rules to prevent the early-Internet phenomenon of “cybersquatting,” when someone pays the fee and grabs a name apparently associated with someone else. For example, WhiteHouse.com was, for years, a porn site. (Like most U.S. agencies, the real White House uses .gov.)

The ICM has set up an arbitration system to resolve complaints when someone claims an address applicant has improperly taken a URL that should be theirs.

Larry Flynt says he’s offered Casey Anthony $500,000 to pose in Hustler

CNN is reporting that … If Larry Flynt has his way, Casey Anthony could reintroduce herself — nude — to America on the pages of Hustler magazine, and make well over $500,000 in the process.

The pornography magnate told HLN’s “Nancy Grace” show on Thursday night that talks are ongoing that could land Anthony on the pages of his magazine, weeks after a Florida jury acquitted her of murder in her 2-year-old daughter Caylee’s death.

Anthony’s camp dismissed the report as “nonsense.”

But Flynt insisted he was serious about the offer, which he said would include $500,000 up front plus 10% of all profits. He said any payment that the Orlando woman might receive for interviews with media outlets would be “chicken feed” compared to what she’d receive by appearing in Hustler.

“If they want to get their hands on big money, they’ve got to go through me,” Flynt said.

Anthony’s trial in Orange County fixated tens of thousands of people during its seven-week run, many horrified by the girl’s death and others drawn in by the family drama. Since her release from jail early on the morning of July 17 — after getting credit for time served for her conviction on four counts of misleading authorities — she has remained out of the public eye.

The Hustler magazine founder said that, after a jury cleared the 25-year-old woman on murder charges, he initially did not consider reaching out to her.

But Flynt said his mind changed after being approached by “droves of men” as he was touring the country promoting his new book “One Nation Under Sex.”

“They said, Why haven’t you made an offer? Why don’t you want to publish her pictures?” Flynt said. “They said, She’s a really attractive person … I’ve never seen that happen before.”

Asked about whether the decision might be distasteful to the many who feel Anthony got away with murder, Flynt said his tour suggests to him that there was a real demand. He also claimed that a portion of any proceeds would go to charities aimed at addressing child abuse.

Flynt noted, too, that he has “never been one to shy away from controversy,” boasting on HLN about printing nude photos of Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis in 1975.

“You’ve got men who say hey, I want to see her in her birthday suit,” he said of the Anthony offer. “There may be some sick individuals … but that’s what life is all about.”

Earlier this month, Playboy founder Hugh Hefner said he got a similar flood of requests from people encouraging him to try to get Anthony for his magazine. But he shot down any possibility that would happen.

“It is amazing the number of people that have tweeted me immediately afterward, asking whether or not we would do a pictorial on her,” Hefner told CNN’s Piers Morgan. “And the answer is simply no. I wouldn’t reward someone like that for what has happened.”

Mark Lippman, the attorney for the woman’s parents, George and Cindy Anthony, said he had no knowledge that his clients had talked with their daughter since her acquittal — including about this offer. Both parents testified at her trial, with defense lawyers claiming that George Anthony helped cover up his granddaughter’s death.

“This is all news to me,” Lippman told HLN. “And obviously, Casey is her own person, and she’s making her own decisions.”

Does sex still sell? Adult industry not immune to recession

* Story Highlights

  • Adult entertainment “facing its first downturn ever in its history,” company says
  • Internet, sour economy means models are working for cheaper rates
  • DVD and magazine sales are struggling during the recession
  • “There’s always money to be spent on sex,” says couple at expo

By Chris Kokenes – CNN

EDISON, New Jersey (CNN) — More than 100 purveyors of adult entertainment waited hours for Edison’s giant convention hall to fill last month, a slow attendance that reflected recessional challenges that nearly all industries have faced.

The adult entertainment industry certainly hasn’t been in freefall like the auto manufacturers, but it has felt the pinch of consumers with shallower pockets than they once had.

Most adult entertainment companies are privately owned, making it hard to quantify overall sales from year to year. But many agree the multibillion dollar industry is finding it harder to sell sex.

XBIZ, an organization that covers all sectors of the adult entertainment business, says piracy, free online content and legal challenges have all adversely affected the industry.

“The adult entertainment industry is facing its first downturn ever in its history,” said Alec Helmy, president of XBIZ. Helmy also added that attendance figures at several trade shows have declined steadily in the past several years.

Dan Adams, editorial director at Magna Publishing, said that the print business has changed and that there is some belt-tightening going on.

“Print publishing as a whole is down,” Adams said. “Everyone has felt a change.”

Magna, which claims to be the largest publisher of adult magazines in the country with 60 titles and sales that average over a million dollars a month, has learned to adapt, Adams said.

“Everyone has felt a change. Larger companies know what readers want, and the ones that are thriving are the larger ones. The stronger ones will survive,” he said. “We’ve re-examined budgets and streamlined other areas.”

Magna purchased Club magazine, considered a strong brand in the industry, adding it to its stable of publications such as Genesis, Swank and Gallery. But Adams still voiced a cautionary tone, citing that free Internet “tube” sites have also cut into profits. While Adams’ exudes a mood of optimism, the drop-off is in the double digits from just a couple of years ago.

Even the more broadly known magazines have had to cut back. Photographer Ted Karpovich has seen international men’s magazine Penthouse slash the number of premiere parties it once held.

“They used to fly in the Pet of the Month and have a party and make the rounds. They pretty much eliminated those monthly parties. They’re not as lavish with everything anymore,” said Karpovich.

And the women Karpovich photographs have fared worse. With so many models willing to pose for little or even for free, the prices offered by photographers have significantly come down.

But the adult entertainment industry is all about content and the talent that drives the industry.

Playboy model Daniela Victoria, a veteran after six years in the business, has seen some changes.

“You have to be willing to work for less than usual. Anyone who says they aren’t lowering their rates is lying,” she said.

In better times, the auburn-haired model said she used to average $1,000 to $1,500 a day. But no more.

“There’s more stuff you can get for free,” she said. So many models are willing to work for free. Photographers will now work with cheaper amateur models.”

Vivid Entertainment, which produces about 60 features a year and has contracts with popular adult stars such as Jenna James, Tera Patrick and Heather Hunter, also displayed its wares at the show in Edison, which was called the Exxxotica Expo and billed as “the largest adult consumer show in the country.”

Vivid co-owner Marci Hirsch has mixed feelings on the recession.

“The recession has hurt business, including DVD sales,” she said, “but the Internet has offset any hit to profits.”

Eager to promote their wares, several big name industry stars were at the expo signing autographs and plugging their Web sites. And although some businesses, such as Vivid Entertainment, reported solid Internet sales, some of those stars said it wasn’t the case for them.

Seka, a platinum blonde performer from the 1970s and ’80s who says her Web site gets 600 million hits a year, said that the Internet has “been good to me. It’s been great.”

But, she said, she has noticed a drop in the past two months.

“Business has dropped off about 5 percent, and that’s a big drop,” she said. “It takes money to run a Web site, which involves Internet servers, maintenance, providing updates — all costs which cut into your bottom line.”

Seka, a native Virginian, said part of the problem is that women on the Internet are “a dime a dozen” and lacking in the kind of variety the industry once had.

“We didn’t have the same type of competition that exists today,” she said. “Everyone looks the same now.”

Meanwhile, some other businesses reported that the recession hasn’t hurt very much. The catalog sales company Adam & Eve, based in Hillsborough, North Carolina, employs more than 350 people and posted annual sales of $13 million in 2007. And spokeswoman Katy Zvolerin said 2008 was “surprisingly good.”

“We were all collectively holding our breath,” Zvolerin said. “While DVD sales were down, toys or novelties sales were holding strong.”

The recession has posed a challenge, she said, but “we’ve seen toy sales increase because so many people are staying home and having fun.”

Some 18,000 consumers, about the same as last year, attended. Scott and Michelle, a New Jersey couple, shelled out $50 a pop to attend the exposition. They said the recession hadn’t affected their spending habits.

“There’s always money to be spent on sex,” said the couple, who asked to remain anonymous.

Big salary jobs in PORN with no degree required

CNN recently ran a story about jobs you could get that pay more than $50,000 a year that didn’t need a degree.  Well I think they left off a few and I am going to list them off for you!  Keep in mind these are all very specific jobs in porn, that although you don’t need a degree for, you may need some skills.

Porn Star (female):  On the low end you can make about $500 to $700 a scene and that can go up to $5,000 the more attractive and well known you are.    A well known female porn star can easily book 4 or 5 scenes a month and that translates into more than $200,000 a year, not including money she may earn for other projects such as appearances and photo shoots.   On the low end, the girls tend to work more but are paid less as they are less known.  However they still make a decent living, some girls doing as many as 20 scenes a month, some even more.  The low end girls who are hard workers can pull in more than $100,000 a year, if they are willing to hustle and take any job that comes their way.

Talented Stunt Dick (male) :   These are the lesser known stars of the business.  A reliable male stunt dick, I mean porn star who can perform on call can easily make $70,000 a year.  Now if they are willing to go both ways, they can make significantly more.

Experienced Affiliate manager :  When affiliate managers start out, they like most professionals have to pay their dues working for shit for pay.  These guys make almost nothing often times work exclusively for commission.  However on the high end, those who have some experience can earn $100,000 a year base pay plus bonuses and often time those bonuses are trips around the world and even sports cars.   It may sound crazy to pay these guys this kind of money but a good affiliate manager can make a business untold fortunes but to keep them, you have to be willing to kiss their ass.  There are a lot of dumb asses out there that will blow any kind of smoke up your ass but there are also those guys out there who do have the experience they say and can perform the miracles they promise.  When a company finds out, they will do anything to keep them.

Porn Star Publicist : To make it in this business a porn star learns they often have to be their own PR machine and that includes sending out tons of press releases, managing a website, myspace page, twitter account, facebook page and son on and son on.   And let us not forget the roll of booking agent and well all of that is on top of actually working for a living doing what a porn star does.  So smart girls are hiring help and those are the people who do PR for them, including sending out press releases and running their MySpace and Facebook pages.   To just send out press releases you can expect to earn about $500 a month per girl, however you throw in managing their myspace, twitter and facebook accounts and you can increase that another $500 a month per girl.  Get a few girls you do this for and you are quickly making upwards of $60,000 a year with very little effort.  The hard part is getting porn star clients.  Typically it’s a word of mouth gig so get 1 client, do right by them and they will tell their friends about all you do for them.

SEO Expert : Search engine optimization is really one of the biggest scams going around simply because it’s an industry that far to many people know far to little about so when they go to hire an SEO expert they don’t know what they really want or need or how to verify the claims these so called experts are making and get taken for a ride.  But that being said let me be the first to tell you that a real SEO expert who can back up his shit can make upwards of $250,000 a year plus performance bonuses.   But finding this guru isn’t easy because everyone and their mother claim to be an exeprt at SEO.

Here is a true SEO story.  I have a friend who ranks in the top 3 in Google for like 10 very popular porn star names.  She’s held these spots for years.   More than 80% of all of the traffic to her websites comes from search engines, which as a result is very high quality traffic.  Her work is easily verifiable.  So one day she offered to help a guy out as a friend but would need him to cover the cost of her assistant for $2,500 a month.    He agreed to the deal so she took one of his websites, a domain he just registered a few months prior to that, turned it from a PR0 to PR4 website with more than 23,000 back links, without buying so much as 1 link or doing anything illegal or shady, within a few months.  So the person has a proven track record of SEO skill, now takes one of his own domains and proves her skill with one of hers and now the time comes where the guy is going to invest a lot of money into SEOing one of his other domains.  He’s dedicated a good chunk of money for this project.  Does he hire this person?  Nope, he lets some other guy talk him into spending nearly $60,000 plus the cost of “buying links”, which is an illegal SEO practice that could get his website banned from Google.

How did something like this happen?  Is this guy we are talking about a total dumb ass?  Well in reality he’s not.  He’s actually normally a very savvy business man but even the best get taken in by snake oil salesman and more often than not, that is what you find in the SEO business so if you pursue a career in this area and are able to do it right, the amount of money you could make is nearly limitless.  A smart company will snap you up in a heartbeat and pay you what they can to keep you.

Board Whore :  Smart companies have caught on to the fact that message board signatures are great means of promotion especially when the person posting takes the time out of their day to make meaningful posts.  So what does this translate to?   Well for about $500 to $1,000 a month a person will pay you to put their banner and link in your signature on one message board.  There are 5 decently sized message boards in our industry, many more smaller ones, so just imagine the money you can make per board.   If you are really skilled and actually take the time out to make well thought out and informed replies on message boards, you can get up to $1,000 a month for the larger boards.  That works out to be $5,000 a month or $60,000 a year.  That’s not bad money considering it only takes about 1 hour a day to make a few well thought out posts on each of the 5 major industry message boards.  If you aren’t that great of a poster or creative writing isn’t in your background, you could make the lower end $400 – $500 a month for the big boards and throw in some $50 a month on the smaller boards to make up the difference.
