Beverly Hillbillies XXX Competes Well with Superhero Porn

Could this be the Funniest Porn Movie of the Year?

Americans love nostalgia which is a big reason why a funny albeit dirty porn parody of the Beverly Hillbillies television show is doing so well. The adult feature movie starring superstar Kagney Linn Karter as Ellie Mae Clampett is ringing up DVD sales in traditional video stores and at online sellers such as TLA Video and Adult DVD Empire proving that director Will Ryder might have been right when he predicted that Jethro Bodine could compete with Superman.

“I mean he’s big and strong, just look at the lug,” Ryder joked.

Not everything has to be superhero driven in order to connect with a customer that grew up watching 3 channels, a PBS station and a hard to receive UHF channel and X-Play and Adam & Eve’s spoof of the classic Beverly Hillbillies proves just that. The 2-disc collector’s set is packed with extras, earning stellar reviews and on the way to becoming a major contender in several adult industry award categories.

“People want to feel comfortable,” stated Ryder from his X-Play headquarters in Hollywood. “Plus I think we’ve proven that you will get a quality product packed with hours of DVD extras that are fun to watch in a wonderful old school package that appeals to people that still purchase their porn. You can’t say that about all of the parodies flooding the market these days. Classic old school well done still works wonderfully.”

Reviews have been very positive with Don Houston at XCritic.com stating, “With quality parodies and comedies becoming as scarce as trustworthy politicians, Beverly Hillbillies XXX delivers on both accounts. The ability to balance strokable sex with an amusing comedic tribute to a beloved mainstream show is something out of reach for most directors.”

Roger Pipe of Rogreviews.com states, “Will Ryder is the king of porn parodies (and) Beverly Hillbillies XXX is his latest hilarious XXX laugh fest.”

Funny PR Bull from Will Ryder

I got an interesting press release today.  It always just fascinates me how little we call people out in our industry for the bull that gets said on seriously a daily basis.  The headline of this press release reads “Brady Bunch Creator Dies; Not the Bradys XXX Remains #1 Selling Porn Parody of all Time“.  REALLY?  Are you kidding me!!!!!!!!!!!!

First of all, I found it a little creepy that someone would use the death of a person to promote their porno but that isn’t really what I found off about the email.

I don’t know about you but I would venture to guess that Pirates or Pirates 2 from Digital Playground, a parody of sorts of Pirates of the Caribbean, would probably be “the #1 selling porn parody of all time”.  I can’t say for sure, but then again … can Will Ryder?

Which porno parody really is the best selling “of all time”?  Would it be Pirates?  What about Vivid’s Batman?  I heard that did extremely well.  What about BatFXXX from Bluebird?  It won a ton of awards last year and they spent a crazy amount of money making it.

 

While we can pretty much guess that Will Ryder pulled his stats out of his ass, I do wonder what porno parody really is the best selling of all time.

I also wonder how many different ways he will find to exploit the sale of his movies.  Of course this is the same man that one time sent out a press release to promote the sale of one of his movies levering the story of a porn star who was raped, so seeing him promote the real death of someone to promote his movie shouldn’t surprise me.

Will Ryder I totally get that you are a PR machine and want to promote your movies but maybe before you rush to write up a press release you should stop and ask yourself, is this really tacky of me?  Should I really be promoting my movie when talking about some girl being raped or someone dying?  Also while I’m at giving advice you should really think about some of the things that come out of your mouth like you invented the porno parody genre or that one of your movies is the best selling porn parody of all time.

Those kind of things diminish any real accomplishments you may have.

You make some good movies, you should be totally proud of that.  You don’t need to just make up stupid stuff that most of us know are just flat out lies to make yourself look better.  You really don’t.  Unlike some people in our industry, you’ve actually paid your dues.  You actually make rather good movies.  So you don’t need all the bullshit hype.

 

Casting Call for Beverly Hillbillies XXX

X-Play and Adam & Eve Pictures Casting for Beverly Hillbillies XXX

Adam & Eve Pictures and X-Play are co-producing a XXX parody of The Beverly Hillbillies and are now casting for the roles of Ellie Mae, Jed Clampett, Jethro, Granny, Mr. Drysdale and Miss Jane along with four cute side roles for additional females. Interested actors and agents are encouraged to quickly contact Scott David and director Will Ryder to set up a go-see and reading.

The movie promises to be a hilarious adventure and a top contender for best comedy in the parody category at most awards shows later in the season.

Interested actors must be able to resemble their characters, possess excellent acting ability and be familiar with episodes of the original CBS Television series which ran from 1962 until 1971. Females interested in the four side roles must be sexy and have boobs.

“There are a number of episodes on YouTube so actors can check it out and learn their characters before coming in to read,” stated co-producer Scott David.

“We acquired a 1926 Model A truck that looks just like the one in the TV show so I know this movie is going to be great plus we’re happy to be making this with Adam & Eve Pictures where we won two best comedy awards previously for Flight Attendants and Not Bewitched XXX,” Ryder stated.

The producers will also be searching Hollywood to find a mainstream actress to play the role of Granny much like they did during casting of Not the Cosbys XXX when Thomas Ward won the Cliff Huxtable role. That movie went on to win awards for best parody and Ward for best non-sex performance so it has worked nicely in the past.

“Some characters like Granny are just hard to find from a youngish porn pool but I think we can find most of the others characters and of course all the beautiful girls will come from porn valley,” Ryder stated.

Open casting for Beverly Hillbillies XXX will take place Monday, June 27th from 1-4PM at the company’s West Hollywood office. Please call or email for address. If actors cannot make it Monday, there will be additional time to audition Tuesday or Wednesday June 28th or 29th from 1-4pm at the Hollywood & Vine office.
