The movie is based entirely on the real-life fantasies of an all-star cast of female performers, running the gamut from dominance to submission.  Through deeply personal interviews, the stars reveal their personal preferences for rough sex, why they love it, how they establish trust with their partners, and what they need to feel safe as they play on the edge.  The accompanying scenes in Rough Sex 2, part documentary and part erotic vignette, challenge conventional wisdom about the fantasy lives of women.

“In a politically correct world, it’s nice to see that director Tristan Taormino continues to push the envelope,” said Ben Atrophis of AVN in his AAAA1/2 review of the movie.  “In the sequel to the phenomenally successful Rough Sex she finds girls who have their own definitions of what makes ‘rough sex’ and they control the scenes by acting out their fantasies.  And a bunch of these babes are quite kinky.”

Sharing their personal fantasies in Rough Sex 2 are Claire Adams, Chayse Evans, April Flores, Sinnamon Love, Adrianna Nicole, Dylan Ryan, Bobbi Starr and Madison Young. Male performers in the movie include Mark Davis, James Deen, Shane Diesel, Richard Mann, Nathan Menace and Orpheus Black.

The performers create the scenes, choose their partners and control what happens.  Mistress Claire takes her pet April on an unforgettable ride; Bobbi tastes total submission at the back of her throat; Pony girl Madison gets trained; Chayse and Mark double team slave Adrianna; Madison bakes a cake for her Mistress with interesting results; Sinnamon serves her Master (and his friends) at a poker game. Each woman shares her most intimate desires, tests her own boundaries, and rides the seductive line between pleasure and pain.

“This is female sexuality at its most extreme: raw, rough, and real,” director Taormino says.  “You’ll see food fetish play, face-sitting, strap-on sex, pony play, flogging, training, clothespins, forced orgasms, spreader bars, bondage, wrestling, slapping, spanking, dominance and submission, service, punishment, knife play, hot wax, and face-slapping. Rough Sex 2 is a lot kinkier than Rough Sex 1.  It explores some of the most alluring and taboo elements of BDSM. I think my fans will love it!”

Vivid sales director Howard Levine said: “Rough Sex has done really well for us, and Tristan has upped the ante in this second installment. I know it’s going to be really popular with retailers.”

The movie was shot in high definition and the DVD includes chapter search, DVD-ROM compatible, no regional coding plus a behind the scenes featurette on choking & safety.

Tristan Taormino speaks at Princeton University

AWARD WINNING VIVID FILM DIRECTOR AND RENOWNED SEX EXPERT TRISTAN TAORMINO TO SPEAK AT PRINCETON UNIV. ON THURS., APRIL 28TH AMID CONTROVERSY BETWEEN STUDENT GROUPS

LOS ANGELES — (April 26, 2010) – Tristan Taormino will give her talk “My Life As a Feminist Pornographer” and show clips from her award-winning Vivid Entertainment movies at Princeton University on Thursday, April 28 at 7:30 pm at the McCosh 10 Lecture Hall.  This marks Tristan’s second visit to Princeton in this academic year; in November, she gave a presentation about non-monogamy, and her talk was so popular that the students decided to invite her back.  The undergraduate organization Let’s Talk Sex (LeTS) is sponsoring the talk. LeTS is a student group devoted to promoting sex-positive dialogue on campus.  Through its discussion groups and various events, it attempts to provide a forum for free conversation regarding sexuality.

Tristan directs two series for Vivid, the world’s leading adult film company — a reality series called “Chemistry” and the popular sex education series under the Vivid-Ed imprint.  A best-selling author, columnist, editor and sex educator, Tristan recently won two awards at the 5th Annual Feminist Porn Awards (FPA) in Toronto.  Her Vivid-Ed movie “The Expert Guide to Anal Pleasure for Men” won for Hottest Sex Education Film.  In addition, she was honored for her decade in the adult film industry with the prestigious Trailblazer Award for Lifetime Achievement in Feminist Porn.

In one of her most requested topics on the college circuit, Tristan’s talk will address questions such as: is feminist pornography a paradox?  Or can there be such a thing as sex-positive, meaningful porn?  She’ll discuss why she chose to do porn, the challenges and breakthroughs she has seen within the adult industry with regard to women’s pleasure, and her personal goals for working within the industry.

Tristan’s invitation to speak has already created controversy and resulted in numerous op-ed articles and letters to the Editor in the Daily Princetonian, the campus newspaper.  In order to bring in an opposing viewpoint, Princeton hosted anti-porn activist Pamela Paul, who gave a lecture entitled “Why Porn is Anti-Sex,” on April 8.  According to the Daily Princetonian, The Anscombe Society is protesting Tristan’s lecture and has circulated a petition among students who object to it.  The petition “acknowledged the importance of the discussion but objected to “gratuitous” film clips that its authors said would “damage the conversation by turning away those who would have come if not for the inclusion of actual pornography footage.”

“Pornography is definitely a hot button topic in our society. I look forward to sharing my personal philosophy and experience with the audience about making ethical, feminist porn,” says Tristan.  “I’m glad the organizers of LeTS have not backed down or been bullied by the protesters.  This is a valid subject to discuss on a college campus.  The clips I show are not about gratuitous shock value, they are to illustrate some of my work.  The students can make up their own minds about what they see.  Plus, people are free to attend the lecture and leave before I show the film clip.  Everyone should do what they feel comfortable doing.”

Sasha Grey gets into some Rough Sex

Taormino Says New Film is “One of the Best I’ve Ever Made”. “Tristan Taormino’s Rough Sex” starring Sasha Grey is the launch movie in an unprecedented new series from Vivid Entertainment. It will be ship on Wednesday, July 15th and be available in stores on July 22nd.

The movie is directed by award winning author and filmmaker Tristan Taormino and the scenes are based entirely on the real fantasies of female performers. Through deeply personal interviews viewers will discover their definitions of rough sex, why they love it, how they establish trust with their partners and what they need to feel safe to play on the edge. With scenes that are part documentary and part erotic vignette, “Rough Sex” dares to challenge conventional wisdom about the fantasy lives of women.

“So much has been made about how rough gonzo, and porn in general, has gotten in the past few years. But is rough sex by its very nature harmful and degrading? Or can it be sexy, empowering and even feminist? I challenged myself to explore these issues in this new series,” said Taormino.

In addition to Grey, the cast includes Adrianna Nicole, Marie Luv, Satine Phoenix, Francesca Le, Derrick Pierce, Christian, Marco Banderas, Danny Wylde and Julius Ceazher.

Through dramatic role-playing, each woman shares her most intimate desires, tests her own boundaries, and rides the seductive line between pleasure and pain. We get to watch as they take charge of bringing their scenarios to life – in some cases, for the first time ever on film. We witness female sexuality at its most extreme: raw, rough and real.

Under Taormino’s guidance the movie covers a wide spectrum of what constitutes rough sex, with each female performer defining it for herself.

“When I approached Sasha Grey to do the movie, I knew she had already done lots of rough sex on camera; she’s never been afraid to explore her submissive desires. But one thing she has never done on camera – until now – is a “switch” scene where she switches between the dominant and submissive roles. Sasha is a switch in real life, so this was an opportunity to explore a real part of her sexuality. The results are an explosive scene with Danny Wylde where you’ll see a side of Sasha you’ve never witnessed before,” notes Taormino.

“This is by far one of the best movies I have ever made. I am so proud of all the hard work that went into it and I cannot wait to hear what people think,” says Taormino.

According to Howard Levine, V.P. of Sales for Vivid Entertainment, “Retailers have been talking about this title since we previewed the trailer in Vegas at the AVN Expo. Tristan has a truly unique vision and her fan base grows every day. We believe people are ready for a different kind of Rough Sex.”

TAORMINO FORMS SMART ASS PRODUCTIONS

NEW YORK – After a five-year hiatus, Village Voice sex columnist and AVN award-winning director Tristan Taormino returns to the world of adult video at the helm of her new production company, Smart Ass Productions. Taormino made her debut in Evil Angel’s Ultimate Guide to Anal Sex for Women, and followed it up with The Ultimate Guide to Anal Sex for Women 2. In the past several years, Taormino has penned columns for The Village Voice and Hustler’s Taboo magazine, authoring sex books, lecturing at colleges and universities, and teaching sexuality workshops.

The starlet says that she’s thrilled to be returning to porn. “I have always had one foot in the adult industry since I write about it often,” Taormino said. “I have watched as more women have stepped behind the camera, and I have been newly inspired to do the same.” Through her workshops and other public appearances, Taormino has had the opportunity to talk to hundreds of different people. “Plenty of men and women tell me that they love all-sex and gonzo videos, but could do without some of the elements of the most popular titles in those genres. Plus, they’re tired of seeing videos where the women either don’t come or their orgasms are clearly fake.”

This is where Taormino and Smart Ass Productions plan to come in. No outrageous stunts. The focus of Tristan’s videos is intended to be real chemistry and real orgasms for everyone. “I want the best and brightest performers to come together in a sexually-charged, intense environment where they can let their guard down and show a different side of themselves,” enthused Taormino.

The first Smart Ass production Taormino has directed is Tristan Taormino’s House of Ass (Adam & Eve Pictures). The title stars Joanna Angel (with her first interracial scene), Justine Joli, Sarah Blake, Keeani Lei, Mr. Marcus, Talon, and Scott Nails. “She did a scene with Scott the first day which was really great,” said Taormino of Angel’s scene. “The next day, she told me that she liked Mr. Marcus and felt there was chemistry between them. Their scene was totally spontaneous and really hot.”House of Ass hits streets February 24.

The video’s debut coincides with the release of the second edition of “The Ultimate Guide to Anal Sex for Women” from Cleis Press.
