VRPorn.com’s Tech Guides Help Make Your Virtual More Real

A Look at Different Ways to Improve Your VR Experience

VENICE, CA – The top website for adult virtual reality content and general VR tech info is VRPorn.com and this week they have covered several items that will help your virtual world become more real.

First up, Dr. S explains why the new Pico Goblin VR headset will be great for porn.

“The new start-up company Pico showed off its new headset this week which it hopes to start shipping in the next two months Pico’s headset will go for a reasonable $249 dollars at launch with a special $25 dollar discount if you order now. This headset has a nice set of specs that make it competitive with many of the other VR offerings including the Gear VR and S8 combo that I mentioned before.”

This week Dr. S also explains how to turn your old Kinect into a 3D sex mirror. Even the doctor has a difficult time putting it into simple terms:

“There is not a simple way to describe what I have achieved. Basically, it involves using a Kinect to stream a live point cloud scan of me and my partner while wearing Oculus Rift headsets that are set to intercept the live point cloud stream. Before I get into the details of how this works, let me provide a little background.”

He says that one needs a Kinect (preferably Kinect 2), a powerful PC and Brekel Pro Pointcloud V2 (a simple download) and next thing you know you’ll be watching yourself get it on with your partner!

Finally, the doctor explains how to watch VRPorn.com videos with an HTC Vive. Short answer: download the Vive Video app and follow the directions at https://vrporn.com/how-to-download-and-watch-vrporn-com-videos-with-an-htc-vive/.

VRPorn.com Explains How to Get Room-Scale VR Out of Your Android Phone

And It Won’t Cost You More Than $10!

VENICE, CA – Getting into virtual reality might seem intimidating to the newbie and possibly assumed to be financially out of range, but the reality is that it is much easier and less expensive than many might think.

In a pair of stories on VRPorn.com, writer Dr. S details just how it can be done if you are already set up with a decent Android phone.

In “VRidge and RiftCat: Room-Scale VR Porn for Android Phones,” he describes as a shortcut around what he calls “this high-tech virtual reality price-wall.” The all-important SteamVR software can be accessed using the aforementioned high-end Android phone or a Google Cardboard headset and an app combo called VRidge and RiftCat. That app combo will cost a reasonable $9.99.

“This means that for roughly $9.99 (cost of RiftCat) plus $19.99 (the cost of a decent Google Cardboard headset), gamers can try out and play SteamVR software including awesome room-scale erotic sex simulators that were designed for the expensive virtual reality headsets like the HTC Vive and the Oculus Rift,” he writes. “This is an amazing possibility for the budget-minded gamers and horn-dogs or people that are on the fence about high-end virtual reality hardware and software.”

There are limitations. But for a few bucks, it gets you into this new virtual reality world and where you take it from there, that’s up to you.

Apple Dives Into Virtual Reality, VRPorn.com Tells You Why It Matters

New Macs Are Steam VR-Ready; iMac Pro: The Best VR Machine in Existence

VENICE, CA – Tim Case gave Apple’s keynote address at the Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco this week and there was big news for both fans of virtual reality and developers.

Writing for VRPorn.com, Dr. S turned in a pair of reports that covered the big announcements. First, his “How is Steam VR for Mac Possible?” discusses the benefits of the Macs receiving Valve’s “incredible and expansive virtual reality platform right away.” And that, he says, is good for everyone.

“Steam VR coming to Mac is great news for everyone even if you don’t own a Mac,” he writes. “For those that do not own a Mac, this means that a huge amount virtual reality software suddenly has a much larger market. This is great for developers and consumers alike. A larger market means more revenue, and more revenue means more software will be developed for virtual reality systems. This is great for everyone.”

While the MacBook Pros don’t have dedicated video cards necessary to run Steam VR’s software, they can handle it when they are connected to an external GPU. It’s the same solution many PCs are using, too, since it allows notebooks to continue to shrink.

The title for Dr. S’s other article – “Apple’s VR Beast iMac Pro: Best VR Machine in Existence?” – seemed unlikely a week ago, given how Apple frequently likes to keep consumers and market watchers waiting without comment. But VR is here for the Macs.

“Skeptics believed Apple’s hardware would never be useful as a viable virtual reality platform. These skeptics are going to be laughed at and ridiculed because Apple’s new iMac Pro that works natively with SteamVR is the perfect VR machine,” he writes. “The new iMac Pro will be the most powerful consumer-ready virtual reality computer that you can currently buy.”

The top-end machine runs a buck short of $5k, but Dr. S says it “should be worth it.” It comes with an 8-core Xenon processor with the option for an 18-core model. (Most computers today sport, at best, a 4-core.)

It will have the Radeon Vega graphics GPU, which he says is “rumored to be a graphical performer of epic proportions.” Together they will produce 22 teraflops of raw power. Tack on 128GB of ECC memory and, yes, you’ll have the best VR machine in existence.

VRPorn.com: Webcamming Does a 360

For Now, Cam Girls May Need Tech Support Skills to Go with The Sexy

VENICE, CA – Webcamming has been one of the adult industry’s great breakthroughs in recent years, bringing models closer than ever to their fans, and virtual reality technology is taking camming to the next level.

Writing for VRPorn.com, Morndenkainen takes a look at PEEP360, a company that is bringing the virtual reality experience to the cam game. They are the first company to offer live streaming cam girls in 360-degree video format. All you need is a VR headset, Google’s Chrome browser and to set up an account with PEEP360.

Morndenkainen confesses his real-life scenario – brown couch with cup holders, a recliner, an HD projector with a screen 15 feet away. And then, with the VR headset, all of that is gone.

“No more couch, nothing,” Morndenkainen writes. “Just me, the girl’s room, and everywhere I look, none of the shit that’s cluttering up my room to remind me that I’m still in MY room. I can focus on the girl, the girl can focus on me and I feel like I’m the center of attention.”

While acknowledging that there is still room for improvement, progress is being made.  And, most importantly, the technology already has the ability to get you out of your room and into the mindset that erases the barriers between model and man. Of course, the technology is new to everyone, so right now the models are getting questions like “Why isn’t my head tracking working?” almost as often as “Will you take your panties off?”

Morndenkainen went on a test run with model CrazyLaura, who he said was “pretty chill.” She was “relaxed, smiling, helpful” – and it seems that that last one is going to be important as the technology advances. Morndenkainen writes more about CrazyLaura’s abilities as front-line tech support.

“There was no pressure or bitchiness and she was genuinely helpful in trying to get my issues with my Vive resolved,” he wrote. “Sadly, because of the number of VR devices out there, I couldn’t get the head tracking to work and had to use mouse-look, but whatever… It was still a cool experience…”

Forward we move and soon enough the kinks will give way to kinky and when that happens the technology will be an afterthought as we enjoy the pleasures they afford us.

VRPorn.com Investigates Breakthroughs in Virtual Reality

Steam VR Home Is Getting ‘Some Crazy Updates’

VENICE, CA – VRPorn.com continues to be the top website for keeping up to date on adult virtual reality and general VR tech news and one of the stories they unveiled this week details major advancements from Steam.

Steam is the social entertainment platform from gaming company Valve, is making big progress on their Steam VR Home, an essential repository that makes it easy to access VR software. According to VRPorn.com writer DrSchlonginhymen, it is getting “some crazy updates.”

DrSchlonginhymen says that virtually all owners of HTC Vive, Oculus and OpenVR eventually find themselves using the site thanks to its vast repository of great software. He says Steam VR mostly “just serves as a bridge to the games, and a shitty looking bridge at that.”

But, he adds, with their updates they are “going for something flashy, more like the Golden Gate Bridge, Valve’s new Steam VR Home blows open the customizability doors in ways that I never predicted or expected. The power and flexibility of the new Steam VR Home have so much potential.”

Still in Beta, the biggest improvements have been the addition of fully navigable 3D environments. They now offer higher resolution and support animation, sound, games and interactivity.

“Environments can now be higher resolution and support animation, sound, games, and interactivity,” Valve said. “Players can teleport around and explore any of the hundreds of environments created by the community. In addition, players can customize and save their environment with props and drawings, then set it as their default home space.”

Another important aspect is that Steam VR Home the increased level of customization and social opportunities. DrSchlonginhymen says “this will allow users to make very complex and detailed VR Perv Dens that will be perfect for hanging out in between virtual reality porn browsing sessions.”

VRPorn.com Unveils a Rare Look at Virtual Reality Numbers

BaDoinkVR Discovers That Customers Like Convenience, Mid-Range Prices

VENICE, CA – With the porn industry desperately searching for some way to break out of its financial death spiral, virtual reality is frequently lauded as the white horse – but do the numbers support it?

Companies both mainstream and adult have been reluctant to make any numbers public, but BaDoinkVR, which specializes in adult VR content, is now the exception – and they are offering some interesting and important insight.

VRPorn.com has a new piece written by hardvr that takes a look at the numbers released by BaDoinkVR – and these numbers are “quite surprising.”

Download statistics show that Gear VR remains the dominant headset, accounting for 40% of all BaDoinkVR downloads. The Google Cardboard category – basically all other cell phone headsets – were 23% of the download share. Oculus Rift and HTC Vive received 25% while PS4 and Google Daydream took 12%.

“While these numbers are not actual sales figures, they can still provide a useful measure of each headset’s popularity, hardvr writes. “If it’s true that the Gear VR is playing such a dominant role in the VR marketplace, then this tells us a lot about how people are using VR and what content creators can do to capture this growing audience.”

The Gear VR unit is “decidedly more casual” than Oculus Rift or HTC Vive, shorter on features in an effort to create a more cost-effective and convenient experience. Still, it is much higher quality than the Google Cardboard level headsets.

“Gear VR is also different from the Rift or Vive in that it encourages a more condensed type of interaction,” according to hardvr. “Users of the Gear VR are less likely to be interested in using their headset for extended periods of time and instead are much more inclined towards brief experiences. These users would much rather have a concise experience that can be easily accessed than an elaborate adventure that requires hours of engagement.”

And that is exactly the kind of information the adult industry needs to know as they attempt to cash in on the coming VR craze.

VRPorn.com: How Facebook Can Help Make CGI Virtual Reality Porn

Official Tool Allows Users to Capture 360 Content

VENICE, CA – The difficult task of capturing 3D content in a form that could provide spherical 360 video has just become a lot easier – and you can thank Facebook.

Writing for VRPorn.com, DrSchlonginhymen writes that Facebook has an official tool that allows users to capture 360 content from 3D games and 3D modeling simulations. This can potentially be used to make CGI virtual reality adult content.

Found on Facebook’s GitHub page, 360-Capture-SDK, this is a VR 360 capture tool rather than a 3D content producing engine like Unity or React VR. It allows one to capture 360 videos of virtual environments as a player moves around or does dirty things in a 3D environment.

“A first-person adult sex simulator in Unity could be turned into a tool for making virtual reality porn,” he writes. “The SDK toolkit would allow a full 360 degrees to be captured instead of the regular 90 degrees that a player or user sees when actually playing or using such an app. Normally, screen recording apps will capture only what a player or user is looking at.

“Using Facebook’s new tool, a full 360 sphere can easily be captured in any Unity app (other engines are also compatible as well). To make a CGI VR porn with this tool, a CGI virtual reality porn director would first direct and animate their CGI fuck bots while recording a 360 replay video. Because a full 360 sphere is captured, when viewed, users will be able to look around anywhere as the CGI action unfolds. The freedom to look around anywhere provides the virtual reality illusion that gives users the impression that they are in the VR action.”

Believe the Hype! Another Big Mainstream Article on VRPorn.com

Hype Magazine Talks to VRPorn.com About the Possibility That VR Could Save Adult

VENICE, CA – The mainstream media is keeping a close eye on how the adult industry forges ahead with virtual reality and this week Hype Magazine is asking a question that’s been whispered around Porn Valley in recent years: “Will VR Porn Save the Adult Industry?”

Subtitled “How technology is winning over piracy,” the piece goes to the industry’s top voice X-rated virtual reality, VRPorn.com founder and CEO Daniel Peterson.

Peterson’s site is not only a premier site for adult VR content, it is also the top source for information on adult VR news and VR tech in general. Hype sat down with the “VR aficionado” and got the lowdown on VR and the future of the adult industry.

It’s no secret that the adult industry has struggled due to a combination of piracy, tube sites and the vast quantity of content available for free over the internet. Can VR really help the industry bring in some much-needed money?

“There is definitely money in VR porn. Virtual reality is still new enough that the producers are able to largely control the distribution of their content,” Peterson explains to Hype.

“And the technology and content is improving all the time. We’re far away from a mature market. This means that if you want good VR porn, you have to pay for it. And this will be true for years.

“Contrast this with standard video porn. There is already enough free content out there to last thousands of lifetimes. And the stuff produced this year is pretty similar to the stuff produced a few years ago, so there isn’t as much demand for the new content that producers are trying to sell. VR porn isn’t immune to the market forces that affect standard porn. There is a race to the bottom occurring, with producers allowing more and more of their content to be released for free. Though this will always be their older content, using older virtual reality technology.”

Peterson explains that studios like Wankz and Naughty America are not only making “serious money,” but “they have never seen a niche grow as quickly as VR.” He points out that VR was science fiction just a few years ago and today there are millions of VR headsets in homes today. The only drawbacks today are the differing standards with the different devices – and that’s a problem VRPorn.com is working hard to lessen.

“Part of our mission is to simplify the process so that it’s as easy as going to a website and pressing play, regardless of your VR setup,” he explains.

The interview also discusses the best equipment to pick up, how VR might affect people’s real sex lives, the different types of content and much more.

VRPorn.com on Terpon’s Next Generation VR Webcams, Innovative Strategy

Company to Offer Low-Priced, No-Contract Rentals to Cammers

VENICE, CA – Camming has become one of the strongest pillars of the adult industry and thanks to a company in Switzerland it’s about to get (even more) real.

In an article titled “Terpon Launches Next Generation VR Webcams” on the VRPorn.com blog, writer DrSchlonginhymen explains that one company, Verpon SA, has launched new webcam VR models, Hermes and Artemis, both of which are risk-free for cameras thanks to an innovative model that offers the cameras as low-cost, contract-free rentals.

“The part of the industry that is growing is live cam,” Terpon CEO Jean-Claude Artonne explained. “But most visitors to these sites only consume what’s free there. If you give them 3-D content, it is something different that they will pay for. Especially if you have a VR headset already, you are committed to finding some new, fun experiences online.”

Artonne adds that the company won’t limit itself to creating for adult in the long-term, but they see an advantage focusing on the industry in order to create for the general market in the future. Their stated goal is to partner with leading webcam models, streaming content studios and webcam websites to become the premier provider of VR cameras to the adult industry.

“We work diligently with webcam studios, independent performers, platform owners and device manufacturers to provide the best possible Virtual Reality experience,” Artonne said. “This includes continual upgrades as new technologies become available and top tier support to ensure a seamless transition from a traditional 2D media environment to a world of truly intimate and exciting 3D VR enjoyment.”

The company is not only providing cutting-edge hardware and software, they are renting without contracts, meaning the users could cancel any time – or keep them as long as they want.

“Terpon’s VR Webcams are striking propositions for Webcam streamers,” DrSchlonginhymen writes. “They provide an exciting new medium of VR webcam streaming. Terpon knows that VR webcam streaming will be huge so they are providing an excellent set of cameras that can stream amazing 3D imagery live.”

These new cameras allow VR webcam streaming, meaning webcam performers can stream a virtual reality feed to users. The users can look around via the head tracking unit in the VR headset, making them feel like they are right there with the performers.

“By focusing on a limited market (the adult live streaming market), Terpon can produce a software and hardware ecosystem that is carefully aligned with adult VR content that is produced and consumed,” DrSchlonginhymen writes. “This means that their cams and software will be designed and developed with the goal of bringing the best possible VR streams to consumers.”

Terpon says it will be giving away 1000 beta-edition cams to influential performers.

VRPorn.com Examines the Ethics of Virtual Reality Porn

Do We Need to Avoid Amateur Content Altogether to Steer Clear of Trouble?

VENICE, CA – It’s easy to get excited about a new technology, especially one so mind-blowing as virtual reality.

But as the technology grows and especially as it becomes more accessible thanks to both increasing popularity and decreasing prices, it’s important to understand that even as it appears to shatter the limits of video technology, it doesn’t eliminate the limits of ethical responsibilities.

In a new article on the VRPorn.com blog, writer ErosVR has offered an in-depth investigation into what could go wrong and what everyone involved must do to keep it real.

Among the many concerns are what will happen when the performers are underage or adults working under duress. And while the fight might seem obvious, the solutions put forth by ErosVR are sure to be controversial.

ErosVR takes an admittedly conservative point of view, suggesting that everyone carefully consider amateur porn and where it comes from.

After all, amateur content isn’t subject to the same regulations as that coming from a professional studio and, as such, perhaps it should be avoided. And with the price of VR equipment plummeting, there are bound to be potholes in the road ahead.

“Every great power comes with a great responsibility: we have to make sure that the medium remains safe, consensual, and void of crime and abuse,” ErosVR writes.

“We can’t stop content from circulating and being distributed around, but we can choose the quality of content we watch. That’s why it would be wiser to stick to the professional and ‘authorized’ content, even though it’s all staged and fake.

“Yes, something authentic, raw, and unstaged stirs our interest much more, but is our foolish curiosity really worth the revenues we’re about to generate for some really sick people? If you ask me, the answer is a certain ‘NO!’”

While keeping the amateur’s hands of VR equipment is going to be impossible – check out the recent article on VRPorn.com about the falling prices on equipment – but it doesn’t leave everyone helpless. Learn how to avoid unsavory content and why it’s important in this new article on the VRPorn.com blog today.
