GQ.com asks: Is Riley Steele the new Sasha Grey?

In recent years, only a select few adult movie stars have crossed over into mainstream culture. Jenna Jameson was one of the first to do so but never managed to shake off her background (starring in such masterpieces as Where The Boys Aren’t 14 didn’t help matters). A Ron Jeremy cameo merely served as a handy kitemark for films you should avoid. Sasha Grey was a notable exception with her understated role in Steven Soderbergh’s The Girlfriend Experience. Now Digital Playground contract girl Riley Steele might be following in her footsteps…

Similarly unapologetic about her day job, Steele is one of the hottest names in the business. But in August this year she appears in respected French director Alexandre Aja’s big budget blockbuster Piranha 3D. Obviously intended as a schlocky tongue in cheek horror flick, it has lured an impressive cast, including Gossip Girl’s Jessica Szohrell, Christopher Lloyd (on full crazy) and even Jaws star Richard Dreyfuss (insert your smaller boat gag here), Steele has been cast because she can really act. There are many beautiful blondes in Hollywood but few have the charisma, charm and talent of Steele, and it is telling that she will be sporting a bikini alongside GQ favourite Kelly Brook.
