‘Johns’ being robbed: cops

Crooks are targeting would-be “Johns” by luring them to a hotel or motel for sex, then robbing them, Surrey RCMP say.
There have been a number of similar incidents since January.
In each case, a man who thinks he’s dealing with a prostitute has arrived at a rented room to find another person, sometimes a woman and sometimes a man, lying in wait and armed.
The “John” is robbed and in some cases left tied up.
Police are asking anyone who has been the victim of these robberies to contact the Robbery Section of the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 or, if you wish to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
