Arrested for abduction with intent to profit, indecent assault and illegal confinement were Yuji Kuwashima, 39, and his wife, Namiko, 30, from the Tokyo suburb of Hachioji.
The Kuwashimas admit to being with the girl, but deny some of the allegations against them.
"We did not intend to kidnap her," one of the Kuwashimas told the police.
Police said the Kuwashimas came in touch with the girl from Gifu Prefecture when she posted a message on an Internet site saying that she wanted to run away from home.
On Sept. 23, the Kuwashimas met the girl in Gifu, telling her that they would buy her some clothes and took her into their car, police said, adding that they kept the girl in the vehicle as they drove around for about one hour.
Police said that the couple filmed her as she was forced to do obscene act.
Later that same day, the couple released the girl in a Hachioji parking lot and she raced to a nearby police box to seek help, police said. (Mainichi)

インターネットの掲示板に「家出したい」と書き込んだ少女を誘拐し、わいせつな行為をしたとして、警視庁捜査１課と八王子署は１２日、東京都八王子市大和田町７、会社員、桑島雄二容疑者（３９）と妻の奈美子容疑者（３０）を営利目的誘拐と監禁、強制わいせつの容疑で逮捕した。
調べでは、桑島容疑者らは９月２３日午前１０時半ごろ、岐阜県に住む中学２年生の少女（１３）を同県内の待ち合わせ場所に呼び出し、「服を買ってあげる」などと誘い、乗用車で自宅に連れ込み約１時間監禁した。その間、わいせつな行為をビデオで撮影するなどした疑い。少女は同日午後、八王子市内の地下駐車場で２人から解放され、交番に駆け込んだ。２人は「誘拐したつもりはない」などと容疑を一部否認している。
