FROM WWW.NEWS.COM.AU POP mum Britney Spears was reportedly ducking for cover after an alleged x-rated home video with hubby Kevin Federline has surfaced.

The Sun online reports a member of Spears’ posse allegedly recorded the video nasty while Britney was pregnant with the couple’s son, Sean Preston. He is reportedly threatening to release it.

A source told US Weekly magazine: "He has threatened to release raunchy footage of the two taken before Spears looked pregnant."

It is believed the tape was copied from the singer’s alleged private collection with Federline.

It wouldn’t be the first time a celebrity has been caught out after filming a sex tape with a lover.

Earlier this year, Hollywood actor Colin Farrell blocked release of a tape he made with Playboy playmate Nicole Narain.

A British judge banned the broadcast of video showing model Elizabeth Jagger engaging in "sexual activities" with her boyfriend Calum Best – son of former soccer star George Best – in a London nightclub in March this year. The pair engaged in sexual activities just inside the club’s doors on February 17. The couple were captured on a closed-circuit television camera they failed to notice.

Limp Bizkit singer Fred Durst sued 10 website operators, also in March, for posting the rocker’s homemade sex tape after it was stolen from his computer.

The three-minute clip of Durst and a former girlfriend was filmed in 2003 and began appearing on the internet this year.

In 2003, hotel heiress Paris Hilton starred in an infamous sex tape with boyfriend-at-the-time Rick Solomon.

Jennifer Lopez sued rap mogul Marion ‘Suge’ Knight in 2001 to stop him from showing a video on the internet reportedly of her having sex with a former boyfriend. Knight denied he had any such tape.

A home video of Baywatch star Pamela Anderson having marathon sex with her husband rocker Tommy Lee in 1997 became the world’s hottest porn item.

It has sold more than 200,000 copies.

Closer to home, copies of intimate sex tape recorded in 1997 by Australian singer Debra Byrne and her ex-lover, Chris Bekker, found their way into video shops.

And Perry Farrell, frontman for Jane’s Addiction and Porno For Pyros, won an injunction in 1998 to stop distribution of a tape featuring himself and a former girlfriend. Farrell’s lawyer Ed McPherson also served as former Poison singer Bret Michael’s lawyer in a similar case, where the big-haired rocker successfully stopped the release of a video capturing his exploits with Pamela Anderson.
