Miles Long Shoots, Scores Cover of Street Cars 101 Magazine with Tori Black It’s been an extremely successful collaboration between the long-time friends, with Long having just shot for Tori for the cover of FHM South Africa’s November issue, as well as having a featured interview and photos with her for the December issue of Nightmoves Magazine. The auto aficionado, whose Sedona red Subaru is sponsored by over a dozen major automotive space manufacturers and took home the trophy for Best Forester at 2019’s Subie Invasion Car Show in Las Vegas, is interviewed about his latest build in the article “Insane Subaru Build” while also talking about his various other Show Cars and Show Bikes. Long also interviews Black in a revealing feature about her passion for all things automotive.
“I’ve been an enthusiast of fast cars and bikes ever since I was in college, and my goal has always been to continue building unique cars and bikes that reflect my personality as well as the time, love, dedication and attention to detail that I’m known for,” says Long in the interview, which highlights a detailed photo set of his Award Winning, Sponsored Forester STi build. “Owning my Foz has been an incredible experience, as I knew nothing about Subarus three years ago when I started my build, and it has allowed me to make many friends, learn so much that I’m a subject matter expert on my particular SG Forester platform, and start a wildly successful private Subaru group on Facebook named The Subie Society.
The Group, which started because Long and his friends, with a passion for all things Automotive, as well as their various other hobbies, were tired of the negative experiences and Trolls that they found in other Facebook Groups. Long’s friends encouraged him to open his own group, which could serve as a nexus for the greater automotive community on Facebook, where members could share ideas, trade parts, help each other with their builds, post ‘How To” tutorials for unique mods, and be inclusive of every gender, age, and experience level, while enforcing a strict “No Troll” policy that separated them from other groups, and created a safe space for a much wider demographic. Because of this, the group became enormously successful, with Manufacturer Sponsors, Giveaways, a warm, welcoming atmosphere, and members sharing all kinds of hobbies, passions, and humor, and not just only Subaru information.
“It’s also the only Subaru group on Facebook filled with all my model friends who have participated in my enormously successful Forester Friday photo sets. For three years running, I have posted a photo set of my Foz with a different famous model every Friday, and shared it with the entire Subaru community as a way to bring some positivity to our Subarus and our community.”
