RedTube Generations – Millennials, Generation X and Baby Boomers

As part of a special collaboration with our friends at AskMen, we’re taking a look at how different men of different generations enjoy watching Redtube. The following data includes Millennials aged 18-34, Gen Xers from 35 to 54 and Baby Boomers over 55.

Millennials make up over half of Redtube’s daily visitors at 54%, followed by Generation X at 32% and Boomers at just 15%. Out statisticians also found that younger men tend to visit Redtube for shorter periods of time. Millennials come and go the fastest at just 8 minutes 25 seconds on average, whereas Gen Xers and Baby Boomers both take well over 9 minutes. Men make up 74% of Redtube’s  Millennial visitors, 81% of Generation X and 82% of Baby Boomers.

Regardless of their generation, men visiting Redtube enjoy the “teen”, “mature”, “anal”, “amateur” and “milf” categories the most. Those aged 34 and under put “teen” in the number one position, while over 35 men chose “mature” as their top choice. Because so many of the top 10 categories are popular with all men, we can instead look at categories by their relative popularity in order to see how the generations really stand apart.

Proportionately, Millennials are 178% more likely to view the “hentai” category compared to all other age groups, 76% more likely to view “Latina” and 39% more for “ebony”. Gen Xers are 22% more likely to view “Amateur” videos, 18% more likely to view “DP” (Double Penetration) videos, and 18% more for “Lingerie”. Baby boomers like the “Vintage” category 82% more than younger visitors, 56% more for “Mature” videos and 48% more for “Japanese”.

Now that we’ve seen who Redtube’s generational visitors are and what type of porn they’re watching, we’ll turn our attention to how they view it. 70% of Millennials visit Redtube using their mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets. But the proportion of mobile users drops as age increases. 60% of Gen Xers user mobile and only 38% of Baby Boomers.

We also found that the type of web browser varies by age group. 60% of Millennials choose Google Chrome as their web browser, whereas only 51% of Gen X and 40% of Baby Boomers do. Safari is more popular with Gen-X than other age groups, and Baby Boomers are far more likely to use Internet Explorer and Firefox when compared to other generations.
