‘Mick Loves Anikka’ Wins Gonzo Release of the Year at 2017 XBIZ Awards

VENICE, CA – Anikka Albrite, along with her husband Mick Blue and their production company BAM Visions, kicked off awards season with some big wins at the 2017 XBIZ Awards last week.

At the ceremony held at the Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles last week the Gonzo Release of the Year trophy went to Mick Loves Anikka (BAM Visions/Evil Angel). The movie was a celebration of the couple’s love and was the first release they ever directed together. It also marked the 20th movie released by BAM Visions and was a four-and-a-half-hour movie a year in the making.

“We’ve been blessed to have so much success in this industry and we’re always looking for ways to produce the best product for our fans and for ourselves, too,” Anikka said when it was released over the summer. “In Mick Loves Anikka we not only got to fulfill some of our fantasies, but we got to create the most amazing scenes we have ever done in the process.”

The voters clearly agreed.

Porn’s #1 Couple also shared in another major award; Best Sex Scene – Feature Release. Mick and Anikka were joined by Sara Luvv in this scene for Babysitting the Baumgartners, the Adam & Eve blockbuster that starred the real life couple as the fictional couple created by Selena Kitt in her popular book. Kay Brandt directed the movie, which was Adam & Eve’s showcase release of 2016.

“Shooting Babysitting the Baumgartners was very special for both Mick and myself,” Anikka said. “It was a really intense shoot and an incredible movie. We were really proud to be a part of the production and so proud of the Best Sex Scene award.”

Anikka also hosted the XBIZ red carpet with Angela White.

Anikka will be extremely busy at this week’s Adult Entertainment Expo. She will be signing for Adam & Eve, Fleshlight, Jules Jordan Video and AVN. In her spare moments she will swing by the Evil Angel booth.

She has 22 nominations for this weekend’s 2017 AVN Awards. The nominations include Female Performer of the Year, four Best Scene noms, Best Solo/Tease Performance, as well as 13 noms for BAM Visions releases.

VENICE, CA – Mick Blue is making his annual trek to Las Vegas this week for the Adult Entertainment Expo and it, along with the 2017 AVN Awards, promises to be another memorable trip for him. Even if none of his 35 nominations turn into trophies he will still have an unforgettable moment: He will be inducted into the AVN Hall of Fame.

He is certainly deserving: he has won dozens of awards, many of them from AVN, including Male Performer of the Year at the last two AVN Awards shows.

“This is something, I am so proud, I barely know what to say,” Mick said. “It is such a dream to come to America and to have worked so hard and found so much success. I’m very grateful for all the opportunities over the years, way too many people to name everyone, and thankful to AVN for this incredible honor.”

Mick received two big awards at the 2017 XBIZ Awards held at the Bonaventure Hotel in Los Angeles last week. The award for Gonzo Release of the Year went to Mick Loves Anikka (BAM Visions/Evil Angel), the 20th BAM Visions release and the biggest movie the company has released to date and the first time Mick and Anikka had ever directed a movie together.

“That movie took us a year to put together,” Mick said. “It was very special for both of us and we were thrilled that so many people were able to enjoy it. I don’t think either of us have ever worked on a project that was more important to us personally, so it was a true labor of love.”

Mick and Anikka also won Best Sex Scene – Feature Release for their work with Sara Luvv in Babysitting the Baumgartners. The movie was Adam & Eve’s biggest production of 2016, based on the book by Selena Kitt and directed by Kay Brandt. It was a rare opportunity for the real-life couple to work together as an on-screen couple in a major feature movie.

“Shooting Babysitting the Baumgartners was very intense for me, it was very demanding, but it was worth it,” Mick said. “It was a fantastic movie and I always love the opportunity to work with Anikka. I think our love for each other helped us in our roles for this great movie.”

Abigail Mac Wins Best Actress at the 2017 XBIZ Awards

VENICE, CA – The 2017 XBIZ Awards were held last week and Abigail Mac won one of the most prestigious categories of the night: Best Actress.

The trophy – Best Actress – Parody Release – was for her work in Digital Playground’s True Detective XXX, one of the company’s biggest releases of 2016, which featured a tremendous acting performance by Abigail.

“I was really proud of our work in that movie,” Abigail said. “We knew it was a great movie when we were putting it together and the final product really lived up to our expectations. Of course, this is just the beginning of awards season. She is nominated for five awards at the upcoming 2017 AVN Awards, including Best Actress for True Detective. (The blockbuster movie is up for Best Parody and garnered nominations for DCypher for Best Screenplay, Ryan Driller for Best Actor, and Jakodema for Best Director.) Abigail is also nominated for Favorite Female Performer, Most Spectacular Boobs, Best All-Girl Group Sex Scene for Ghostbusters XXX Parody (Brazzers) and Best Girl/Girl Sex Scene for Lesbian Tutors 2 (Girlfriends Films).
