We recently had the pleasure of siting down with Maya and got to know her on a more personal level. We begin with some basics “What career goals do you hope to achieve in the year ahead?” she responded “By the end of the year, I really would like to have a solid career in camming”… and did you ever have a different career in mind for yourself growing up? “I wanted to be a cultural anthropologist”. Maya isn’t just all about the xxx, she has a hidden talent in writing and hopes to one day to earn a degree, to create an educational immigration video series.

When we asked her what her worst job was outside of the adult industry, she told us it was definitely working in “Fast food, hands down. I had the morning shift and it was horrific. You had to be on your feet all the time and had to be moving frantically to get everyone’s orders”… Who could blame her? If she could go back 5 years and give herself a piece of advice she says “Stop letting other people influence how I should live my life”. Wise words that we can all learn from.

We proceeded to ask if she enjoys watching porn now as much as she did before entering the industry. To which she says “I think I was more obsessed with porn when I was younger and I was still a virgin. My sexuality was very repressed at home I couldn’t even masturbate because my parents are very much against it.”

When it comes to dating and relationships, Maya states “I really don’t like snoring, guys who call women “crazy” or slut shame other women, guys who make a big deal out of the sex industry. I also don’t feel comfortable around people who don’t take politics seriously or would rather not involve themselves in it because it’s such fundamental thing in everyone’s lives.” She added that her biggest turn off is having her nipples and ears played with as they are sensitive areas for her.

“I’m very new to dating. When I was between the age of 18 and 20 all I did was one night stands, so I really don’t understand dating, it’s hard for me” she replied when asked how many dates it takes till she does the deed. “What’s on your sex playlist?” she told us “I have the songs Underwater Love, Lambada, Fade Into You.”

Sweet or Savory? For Maya, the answer is BOTH. Snacking is life. And “What was your favorite toy, or movie or singer/band, growing up?” Maya says “My favorite toy was a huge teddy bear I had, my favorite movie was Tarzan and growing up my favorite singer was Billy Joel.”

Finally, we asked “If you could change one thing in the world, what would it be?” to which she told us “I wish people didn’t feel the need to push their standards of living on to others. People should be free to love who they love and be who they are and have that be respected. Basic human decency is viewed as an inconvenience. I would like to change the nature of human interaction which heavily revolves around being tribalistic. We should have empathy for fellow human beings.
