‘Mick Loves Anikka’ for Showcase, ‘Anikka’s Cuckold POV’ for Polyamory Movie
VENICE, CA – The announcement of the AVN Awards nominations has become an annual night of celebration for Anikka Albrite and her husband Mick Blue. No one questions that they will receive boatloads of nominations (nor that they deserve them!), but it’s always fun, especially seeing which of their projects gets recognized each year.
Anikka came away with 10 nominations for herself – nods like Female Performer of the Year, 4 Best Scene noms, Best Solo/Tease Performance and more – and BAM Visions, the company formed by Anikka, Mick and Maestro Claudio notched a total of 13 noms.
She was probably most excited about the nominations for Mick Loves Anikka (BAM Visions), which was the first-ever co-directing effort by the husband and wife dream team. The movie’s sexy opener scored a Best Boy/Girl Sex Scene nom for the duo, and their work with Erik Everhard in the movie came away with a Best Double Penetration Sex Scene nom. There is also one in the Best Group Sex Scene category for scene with Anikka and Mick joined by Vicki Chase and Kalina Ryu. Mick Loves Anikka is also up for Best Star Showcase.
They also have a soft spot for Babysitting the Baumgartners, the blockbuster Adam & Eve feature that featured “the world’s favorite porn couple” in the two lead roles. That movie’s noms include Best Polyamory Movie, where it will compete with Anikka’s Cuckold POV (BAM Visions). Babysitting the Baumgartners picked up 8 nominations.
“I’m really happy about every nomination that Mick and I have received, each one is special, and one I’m really excited about this year is AVN nominating Anikka’s Cuckold POV for Best Polyamory Movie,” she said. “It’s a huge honor as a newer director! I’m so proud of my husband Mick, and all his nominations this year! He worked harder than I’ve ever seen him work!”
Anikka’s Cuckold POV was one of two releases in 2016 that Anikka directed following her 2015 directorial debut Anikka’s Bootycise.
