When you have what is turning out to be the biggest story of the year, it’s not easy getting information, REAL information about it.  People love to talk shit in our business.  They love to talk out their ass like they know what the fuck is going on.

At any given moment there is easily 10 different stories that people will swear up and the fuck down is true because their mother’s uncles friend, knows this guy who told them so.

Well turns out they are all full of fucking shit.

No Lupe Fuentes isn’t “on the run”.  No she didn’t “escape to Mexico” and there is every damn chance that she isn’t even guilty.

Turns out she was told by her legal team to be quiet and lay low while they do their thing.  It’s what it turns out any smart attorney would instruct their client to do.

So no she hasn’t gone anywhere.  She isn’t running anywhere.  She actually, at least according to some of my very good sources may not be guilty at all.

That her bitter ex-husband is trying to deflect some of the heat from himself in a move that many would do no doubt if they were in a similar situation.

So let’s do a faq for some of you hard headed fuckers

  • Where is Lupe Fuentes?  I hear that she is at home, behaving like her lawyer told her to do.
  • Is Lupe running from the feds?  No.  They know where she lives.  She hasn’t moved.  Why the fuck do the feds think are stupid and can’t find someone as easily found as her?  She lives at the address on her driver’s license.
  • Is she under house arrest?  No.  Why the fuck do people keep saying that? She hasn’t been convicted of any crime you dumb asses.  Even if she had, her accusers aren’t from the US.  She committed no crime in the US nor is she even being accused of that.
  • Why isn’t she with Fleshlight anymore if she did nothing wrong? I don’t know, because they are dumb asses?  I think they just jumped the gun without even really looking into anything.  But they haven’t been known to be that smart as it is.  There are more than a few stories out there about their less than brilliant business practices and some shady shit with several girls.
  • Is she still under contract with Wicked Pictures?  I don’t know that answer but I don’t see why being accused of a crime – not being found guilty but only being accused would change that.  Wicked Pictures isn’t stupid, like Fleshlight.  They tend to have their lawyers look into things more carefully before making decisions and since she’s still all over their website, one can only assume they still have some sort of relationship with her.  I guess we’ll have to wait for Wicked to make a statement or someone from the Lupe camp to find out if she is still with them or if she will renew her contract or anything relating to that.
  • Did the fbi raid her house?  I have it on good authority this is yet another false rumor being spread around on the internet by people who have far to much free time on their hands.

Is S.T.O.R.E. the Pharma Girls of Porn?

I heard a story recently that some companies like Zero Tolerance are making more money selling their sex toy lines than they are their actual DVDs.   I don’t know if this is really true but in today’s brutal movie market, that doesn’t really surprise me.

I was recently involved in producing and then later marketing that movie to retail stores.  I actually took a list I was given of some 7,000 retail stores across the country and sat down with a few friends and just flat out called every single one and ask them to carry my movie.  What I found was really an eye opening experience. For the most part, retail stores don’t really care what movies they carry.  Their big concern is the bottom line.  They like buying cheaper porn which is typically porn and catalog titles.  New releases aren’t really on their radar because they consider them to cost prohibitive.

Having the opportunity to actually chat with hundreds and hundreds of brick and mortar store owners and then 100s more of brick and mortar employees, I got such an eye opening experience that was such a world of difference than marking movies online.

Years ago major cities had far more stores that sold adult movies than they do today.  They seem to be closing up at a very alarming rate these dates.  Just as news that Texas starting allowing the sale of sex toys came about, and people assumed it would be a big boost for adult retailers with actual real stores, we learned it was probably a little to late.  Almost over night the state probably lost about 50% of their brick and mortar adult retailers.

Of course store closures isn’t really news to most people.  This has been going on for awhile now.

Another interesting thing I learned is how they stock their stores.  They don’t call in to wholesalers and say like oh send me 15 copies of any specific movie, no matter how much marketing hype that movie title may have gotten.  For the most part, they all seem to be on this auto buy list where their wholesaler sends them a random collection of comps and catalogs every month.  They don’t care what they are, who stars in them or if the movie won any awards.   What they cared about is that they were getting them for $5 to $7 each and could turn around and retail them for $30 to $40 a pop and maybe even as much as $50 to $70.  Now keep on mind, that same movie online would sell for $15 to $20.

I’m not talking some random 1 or 2 stores here.  I actually mean 100s of store owners and employees told me about this.

I’m sure there are real life retail stores that do care about the movies they buy but I found very very very few of them.  In fact, in my list of over 7,000 retails that we spent months calling, I found less than 10 that really bothered to carry new releases on their own without customers requesting them and all of them were in California.

So then one night I’m watching TV and the show How I Met Your Mother was on.  It was the episode where Barny talks about how hot medical sales chicks are, the pharma girls he called them.  My mind flashed to the porn industry and how great it would be to have people in our own industry go from store to store to store like they did from doctor’s office to doctor’s office to sit down with retailers, show them their goods and get them to keep your products in stock.

Maybe like the medical supply chicks, you offer them promo material.  Hell I went to a doctor’s office once and almost everything in there was branded by different pharmaceutical companies – the gloves she wore, the white paper on the bed, the robe I wore, the q-tips, posters on the wall.  It was crazy.   That entire place was an explosion of advertising. LOL

So back to porn, it made sense, at least to me that someone needed to start making the rounds to retailers, giving them some promotional materials and incentives to carry their products.  For example, a studio could offer a retailer a life sized cardboard cutout featuring the star of their movie like those done up for Hocus Pocus XXX.  I’m sure there are tons of other promotional items they could offer a store in order to convince them to carry their latest movies.  The real point is that someone is out there going from store to store, like the pharma girls of porn.

Well it turns out there is someone out there visiting real life retailers, promoting products for a few select clients and it’s called the S.T.O.R.E. program, which stands for supporting the onsite retail establishment.

I don’t know who is behind this idea but I think it is utterly brilliant and I give them my kudos.  I think it’s just what our industry needs.  I really do.  While I love my technology.  Sometimes the best idea is not to just look forward but to take a step back and look at some old school techniques.

 

 

 

 

Joslyn James is Back in the News

With so much attention being placed on Charlie Sheen and his porn stars, we almost forgot about Tiger Woods and his. I bet Tiger Woods loves Charlie Sheen. LOL

WTF is “Asians in the Library” and who is Alexandria Wallace?

I guess I missed it because this news that recently came out about Vivid hiring the “Asians in the Library” YouTube chick to do a movie had me confused at fuck.

So I did some research and it turns out some blonde chick posted a rant about how there are to many Asians at UCLA and how it annoys the fuck out of her that they have no manners and won’t shut the fuck up when in the library. She bitches about how she is trying got study in the library but can’t because they are all going on and on and on and apparently this has made her a star …… a racist star, but a star nonetheless.

But in the end even if we don’t fucking agree with her she has every right to say it. It’s called the 1st amendment. Look it the fuck up people before you start bitching about what she has to say.

The LA Weekly is now reporting that Alexandria Wallace has dropped out of school.

Review of Teagan Presley’s The S!X

I’ll be honest with you, I chose to review Teagan Presley’s new movie The S!X based solely off of the box cover.  There are just so many new movies out anymore it is hard to decide which one may be worth watching.

The first scene featured Teagan Presley with Alexis Texas.  Talk about an industry darling.  People lately seem to be just obsessed with her.  I think she is the porno industries answer to Kim Kardashian.  I personally think I prefer Alexis Texas over Kim Kardashian but that’s another story for another day.

Actually what I liked about this movie was the first thing you see not only in this scene but in every scene.  They all have this sexy, erotic openings.  It’s very reminiscence of those Taylor Rain movies from years ago.  Needless to say, I like those kind of fantasy opening sequences a lot.

The next scene is with Bobbi Starr and Spanish stud Toni Ribas.  I can honestly say I don’t think I’ve ever met a straight man who spells his name Toni instead of Tony.  Toni is typically a more feminine spelling.  I don’t know why but I find it very strange.

I kinda figured he was one of those gay/bi cross over stars you’ve been hearing about so much lately but after looking into it some, turns out I was wrong.  He just spells his name weird.  He’s very much a straight male and in fact, he’s appeared in over 500 scenes in the last 10 years.  That means he’s banged more girls in the last decade that most men will even dream of being with in an entire lifetime.

So back to the scene.  The two had rather good chemistry.  Lots of heat and passion.  They almost seem to go out of their way to make this movie more attractive to couples with extra affection and kissing.

The next scene features Andy San Dimas and the very sexy Rocco Reed.  You could almost not fuck this scene up.  Rocco Reed is so attractive, is there really anything he could do wrong?

The next scene also comes with one of those fantasy, sexy and erotic opening sequences.  The scene is with Asa Akira and Evan Stone.  Evan Stone is a very powerful male performer.  He’s extremely good looking, that could easily be confused with the male models on the cover of those romance novels, so I was really looking forward to this scene but to be honest I wasn’t impressed.  I don’t know what it is but I’m just really not a fan of Asa Akira.  She wasn’t really into it.  She just seemed so fake to me for some reason.  Her fakeness really distracted me and kept me from truly enjoying the scene.

The last scene features Lexi Belle and Mr. Pete.  The passion in this scene was wrong but the performers seemed rather out of place among a cast of what could easily be confused super models.  You have all these chiseled males and super hot females and then the last two.  They are okay, rather decent looking but by no means ugly just not in the same caliber of the other performers.

Overall I rated the movie very well.  I think Adam and Eve did a great job adding little touches to make the movie more couples friendly, despite it being in the gonzo / all-sex category.  For that I gave the big credit.

I liked the movie a lot.  I liked Teagan Presley and Alexis Texas more than probably anything.   So if you are looking for a good movie to watch, this is probably one you want to check out.

 

 

Thinking of using Paxum? Maybe you should think again

With ePass gone, what is a webmaster to do?  Some are looking into using the new service called Paxum.  It works a lot like ePass did only they tend to be a little more above board when it comes to record keeping, so we at least give them credit for that.

But what I don’t like about them is how fucking expensive they are.  They boast “low fees” but what they call low fees I call fucking outrageous.   There is the $45 a year fee for the privileged of doing business with them,

Then there is the $2.5 fee to ATM money out on top of the $.25 per transaction fee for transferring the funds from your e-wallet to your card, then there is the $1 fee the charge you to change your pin code, the nearly $50 they charge you to replace a lost or stolen card, which does not include the $50 to $100 express shipping fee they will charge you to mail you the card, $50 per wife fee, $5 to load money to your account from ACH and the list goes on and on of fees they charge you.  It’s really fucking insane how much this company charges you to handle your money.  I don’t fucking get why people use them.   Here is their full list of fees.

I get people don’t like checks but holy fucking shit, is this really the only solution?

Before you do think about using them, if you are fine with the insane amount of money they charge you read this ….

Here’s Tranza’s (from GFY) personal experience with Paxum.  So far it’s not looking like Paxum has their shit together.

Ok, I didn’t want to bring this to the boards, but enough is enough.

I opened my Paxum account in November.

After sending my docs, and getting my account accepted (which took a couple of weeks), my card was finally shipped.

I got hit with a $45 card fee on December 15. And was told that my card was sent on Dec 23.

So far so good (I’m not happy to pay a fee even before I get the card, but what ca I do, right?).

On January 17, after no news or card, I talked to Ruth, from their support, about my card. She guaranteed that it was shipped on Dec 23, and that I should get it within 2 weeks.

On February 3, no card yet, I contacted Ruth. She apologized, said that it might have been lost in the mail, and told me she was going to send me a new card, through express shipping, and it would take 1 week for me to get it.

Today I received a card, with a postal office stamp from January 18 (I figure it was the first card sent?)!!

Fine, fuck it, I’m happy to be able to use it finally.

I go to the ATM, and try to withdraw some money. It shows “insufficient funds”. I’m like: WTF? I have almost $3k on that account!

I go online, and find out I had to transfer my money from the checking account to the credit card. No biggie.

I do that, and check my statements. And what do I find on the statements???

I got hit with a SECOND $45 card fee on February 3rd. AND a $95 EXPRESS SHIPPING FEE!

WTF!!!

Cliff notes: Got hit with a $45 fee on December 15th. The card was only mailed on January 18th. On February 3rd I talk to support because I didn’t get my card yet, they send me a new one and charge me a $140 fee, without my approval!!

I really do hope I get a full refund on those fees. AND I hope you guys improve your game. So far I’m not impressed at all!

The Epassporte Drama Never Ends

There is always some sort of cry baby drama going on over at the AVN owned GFY (gofuckyourself.com) and well, today is no fucking different.  Actually that’s not true.  Today is a little different because today someone got banned from the popular industry board for telling the truth.  Only he made the mistake of telling the truth about one of the big boys and we all know how you can’t cross anyone in the fucking lame as “bro club”.

Well I say fuck those fuckers.  Epass was a big time member of the bro club and after fucking over 1000s of people, he apparently still gets to keep his membership. This is going to be one of those long and fucking complicated stories to stick with me. In the end you’ll see how the guy who fucked you all from epass is still in and around the big boys making money off of all of you fuckers still.

So let me connect all the little fucking dots for you people.

Python is an affiliate program who has been around since at least 1996. Back in the day it was headed up by a man who nobody would ever for a moment question his integrity, David Vanderpoel. Nobody has really seen or heard from him in awhile. Although he apparently still holds a financial interest in the company, but he’s moved on to bigger and better things. But the company hasn’t died out. In fact they acquired another affiliate program called Dollar Machine.

The “owner” of Python / Dollar Machine (or so says the industry buzz) is a man named Chad Moldon. He is married to a super hot fucking chick named Shaliza Somani.

She was a part owner of epass and was even heavily involved in the making of Middle Men and given a co-executive producer credit so don’t let her hot looks for a moment fool you.  She helped the owner fuck you all out of a shit ton of money.  Every single dime you lost to the ePass scam you can in part blame her.  Again I don’t care how fucking hot she is, the bitch fucked you out of your money.

This chick is said to still be working with Chris Mallick from ePass.  This is not some drama from her past, this is present day as she is still associating with the fucker from ePassporte.

By the way, the guy who brought this information to light was banned from posting on GFY anymore.  Apparently thou shall not speak ill will against anyone in the bro club.  AVN great job at running your shit man.  Thought you were going to clean up those boards?  Good job you are doing there.

Lupe Fuentes and how it fucks us here in the US

I’ve been reading about this Lupe Fuentes story from other sources.  The one thing I keep seeing is how they don’t think it affects our industry.  Really?  Are you so fucking stupid that you really think that?  Well think again.

Pablo Lapiedra and Lupe Fuentes while she was with him and being accused of trolling schools for young, fresh and under-age meat was producing movies being released here in the US and selling photo-sets to companies like Met-Art.  Met-Art has how many affiliates promoting their site?  A few 100, maybe a few 1000?  Those are all affiliates that could possibly be affected.

Now let’s talk about the movies he produced.  How many of them were sold in the US?  I’ve been able to find 4 DVDs he released under his name.  All 4 of which were distributed in the US from 2004 to 2007 – Depravada, Hotel Lolita 7 (aka Caza y Captura), Hotel Lolita 8 and La Venganza de las Ninfas.  Who knows how many of the girls in these movies are really of legal age.  Chances are there are a few underage girls in them.

How many retailers IN THE US sold these movies not knowing the truth?  How many unsuspecting webmasters have bought a web license for these titles for their membership sites?

So before you start talking out your ass saying it doesn’t matter what happens over there – think again.

It sure as fuck does matter.

 

 

 

A Lupe Fuentes Update

Since the shit hit the fan last week no real news about anything has been given. Sure there have been rumors flying. People are saying Lupe Fuentes has fled while others say they found child porn in her house where she was living with Evan Seinfeld. There are so many fucking stories out there, who knows which ones are fucking true and which ones people have pulled out of their ass.

There is however one real update. One of the foreign press sources that originally broke the story has posted an update from 03/28/2011. Here is the Google translated version below.   To sum it up, Lupe’s husband is saying he didn’t do it and the judge is saying fuck that he’s a flight risk and we want him extradited back to Colombia.  They are saying it may take up to 30 days to finalize all the required paperwork.  Lupe’s husband is facing 8 to 12 years in prison.

In his appearance before Ruz, Lapiedra, 36, has denied involvement in the crimes alleged against him, but the judge considers that these allegations “shall be subject to appropriate debate and deliberation” when it begins to process the extradition procedure at which time the defendant will be taken back to him to ask whether or not to be delivered to Colombia.

To refuse to surrender, the judge will refer the case to the Criminal Division of the High Court in a hearing to examine whether or not to be extradited.
