Google Launches SEO Tool for Webmasters

If you believe your site’s rankings are being harmed by low-quality links that aren’t in your control (like someone is purposely adding you to link farms to fuck you), you can now ask Google not to take them into account when assessing your site.  It’s a new tool Google introduced today called Disavow Links from Google Webmaster Tools.

For awhile now several webmasters have been complaining that douche bag competitors have been adding their sites to link farms on purpose to hurt their SEO rankings.  Yet there wasn’t a damn thing any of us could do about it.  It really was a horrible, sneaky thing but it was a great way to fuck someone who you were trying to rank higher than.  The more penalties you could get them, the lower they would drop in the Google rankings.  Well today that changes.  Now if you find those bad links you can use their disavow tool to disassociate yourself from those “bad neighborhoods” as Google calls them.

Months ago BING introduced their own Diavow Links program in the Bing Webmaster Tools.  What you do is log and select the site of yours that you want to work with from their dashboard.  Now click Configure my site (from the left hand menu) and then Disavow links.    Next choose the page, directory, or domain, then type the URL that you want to block and then click Disavow.

Godaddy Ups Renewal Fess for dot COMs Again!

I got an email today informing me that I have to renew one of my dot com domain names. The first thing I noticed is that they yet again increased in price to $14.99 per year plus if you do not renew your domain(s) during the 12-day Renewal Grace Period, you may incur a fee of $80.00 in addition to the domain renewal fee. During this time, the domain name(s) will be moved to parked nameservers and any website or email services associated with the domain name(s) may stop working.

$14.99 per year to renew a dot com, really? Which is a $2 increase over the previous rates of $12.99 per dot com and and the previous rate before of $8.99. So basically within a calendar year they’ve had two rate increases, from $8.99 to $14.99.

Godaddy really gained in popularity because of their low rates. When they first came to be, Network Solutions was charging us each $35 per year per dot com. At the time, GoDaddy came in and said, move to us and we’ll only charge you $5.95. Eventually other cheap domain companies have come about but due to some creative Superbowl ads, GoDaddy has really remained the king for awhile now.

I just wonder with all the other godaddy issues will they start to lose customers now with the continued rate increases?

Warning PAXUM Users

This post went up at GFY and since Paxum use is becoming more popular I wanted to make sure to help get the word out.

Both me and a friend did some withdrawals in the last few days from an atm machine in the Netherlands. Different atm machines, same bank.  All attempts did not work out: no money came out of the atm and the message appeared : Connection failed.   But to our surprise the money was withdrawn from our accounts.

After sending support tickets to paxum, we get the following reply:  Since the funds were not reversed to your Paxum MasterCard we can start an chargeback procedure, procedure that has a $40 fee and takes around 45 days to be completed.

Easy Come Easy Go … another Affiliate program having issues

Anywho who frequents industry message boards knows the latest and greatest affiliate program, the sort of it program of the moment was chaturbate.com and people signed up as fast as they could to lay claim to their $1 per free signup offer.  In other words, this company claimed to pay an affiliate $1 for every person they refer that joins their site for free.  The theory behind such a great sounding offer is that if you get enough people to join your site for free, they will love it and spend money on buying minutes to chat with the young ladies.

But as the many many  many programs before them learned, spending more money than you earned in hopes of future earnings never works out and it is now being reported they are leaking traffic, and not crediting joins and that their API stopped working all together on April 26th and yet affiliates are still sending them as much traffic as they can in hopes they “get it worked out”.  YA HOLD YOUR BREATH ON THAT ONE DUMB ASSES.

I am going to tell you a little secret …. remember this and you’ll be much better off in life.  Trust me on this.

IF IT SOUNDS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE, IT PROBABLY IS!

Some GFY related comments on the matter

“Chaturbate is nothing more than a scam”

“It’s been known for quite awhile that they have traffic leaks on their website, most affiliates accepted it when they still had their $1/per free signup program going.”

“Looks like API stop working Apr 26, afther that no free signup from my API WL”

“Fuck traffic leaks.  Fuck Chaturbate!”

“Mentioned these leaks many times before, nobody seemed to care”

“fuck me i have sent 4000+ hits to api since the 26 and not one join”

1. They steal your traffic from the affiliate links.
Try this go to chaturbate get your link codes and go to any of the link’s and
You will see on the top side and bottom banners for other website. Also click a few
Times and you will see a pop under for another site. You get credit for NONE of this.

2. The chaturbate API does not count joins.
Try this go to chaturbate dot com/affiliates/promotools/ and try out the API run this on your website
Or wordpress blog. To test this out join with one of the API’s you have set up and guess what
You get no join in your chaturbate stats.

3. The old ($1.00 Pay Per Registration) links do not transfer over to (Revshare – 20% of Money Spent)
This is another way they steal your joins.

VIDZ.com Closes Affiliate Program

Affiliates logging into their vidz.com affiliate account today will have been met by the following notice ……

Dear Affiliates,  The time has come where we have to close our affiliate program. We are working on a new Vidz version of the site and a new form of affiliation. As a consequence, there will be no more payments from 04/09/2012, and we recommend removing all your links to Vidz.com as soon as possible. We want to thank you for the continued support over the years and we are looking forward to meet you in few months with a new website, a new team, and a new form of affiliation.

This means that with less than a week’s notice they are no longer going to offer their affiliate program and they are also going to cease paying the ones they have now.  If you have any links to that website you should pull your links now and remember in the future before considering doing any business with these guys again how they handled their business in the past.

Vivid Cash Fuck Up!

Affiliates of the Vivid Cash affiliate program today probably noticed a drastic drop in their sales.  The reason why is because when a surfer you refer clicks the join link they are taken to the secure.vivid.com link in NATs only, someone over at Vivid Cash it seems forgot to renew the security certificate and as such instead of reaching the join page they reach a warning page (see below)

So typical of the way this affiliate program has been run into the ground these past few years.  So seeing stupid shit like this probably won’t surprise many.

Paxum Ditches Bitcoins

Paxum which is a company that came up after the ePass fiasco has been struggling to find it’s way.  Most recently they have announced an issue with Bitcoin.

Here is their official announcement about it.

Over the course of the last two weeks, Paxum has been in communication with our banking partners, Mastercard, and our auditors to evaluate the best interests of Paxum (and its clients) in relation to Bitcoin.

After much discussion and consideration it has been decided that, though Bitcoin’s are not illegal, they are considered high risk. At Paxum we do not want to jeopardize our clients, or our business model, in any way. In light of that, and after considerable consultation, we have chosen to take the pro-active step of ceasing all business with Bitcoin and Bitcoin Exchangers.

This situation has also been discussed with Bitcoin Exchangers, who completely understand the motives behind this decision.

Thank you for your time.

The dot XXX people using Jesse Jane to pimp their shit

I can remember the time I heard the story about the porn star who tried to register her trademarked name with .xxx and was told she couldn’t.  It was considered a premium domain name that would soon be up for auction and she would have to try and win it.  It was that day I knew the people who ran .xxx were pieces of shit.

Today they take it one step further.

They specifically are making use of trademarked names like Jesse Jane and Riley Steele to promote the dot xxx services.  These domain names were being forwarded to a promotion to use the .xxx services.

Type in any random domain name like blahlhlh.xxx and you get nothing.  So it’s a clear and calculated attempt to profit from their trademarked names.

They have done the same with mikesouth.xxx

Of course all of this came to light when it was revealed xbiz.xxx has been sold to someone else despite the fact that xbiz.com actually owns the XBIZ trademark and has since April of 2006.

ICM has been a member of the XBIZ.net site for awhile now has yet to make a comment.

The owner of XBIZ will only say that domain name has been cyberquatted and that they won’t accept money for advertising from .xxx nor anyone promoting .xxx domain names for sale.

Google Me This … Facebook Me That

To a website owner there is nothing more valuable than that sweet ass search engine traffic.  It’s free and it is highly focused.  So if someone wants to find blue shoes with pink toe nails, they google that and find your site.  That is as specific as it gets.  If the site in question actually provides the end user with what they searched for then you can pretty much bet that traffic will convert at insane rates.

Website owners report that tube traffic converts for them at rates of 1:2500 to 1:30,000.  While search engine traffic converts to sales at rates as low as 1:25 and 1:300.  So what this means is, if a tube site sends you traffic you’ll make 1 sale for every 2500 to 30,000 people.  If a search engine sends you traffic you will make on average 1 sale for every 25 to 300 people.

So that is why so many people want that all to sexy search engine traffic.  So what is the most searched for word in the world?

According to an article posted on the site Factoidz [source], the most searched for word in the world isn’t sex related at all, like one might think.  Nope.  In fact it turns out the single most Google’d word is FACEBOOK!  2,060,000,000 a month, which works out to be about 25 billion times a year just in Google alone, people search the word Facebook.

Porn has a globally monthly search volume of 277,000,000, sex has a slightly higher search volume of 338,000,000 a month.  That means that each year on Google alone about 2.724.000.000 – that’s over 2 billion, almost 3 billion times a year someone search for the word porn and over 4 billion times a year (4,056,000,000) someone is out there searching for the word sex.
