Steve Hirsch Blasts Rick Santorum

VIVID’S STEVEN HIRSCH BLASTS SANTORUM PORN STAND AS “RIDICULOUS AND JUST PLAIN WRONG”

Top Adult Industry Executive Says in America “Juries Respect Free Speech and Freedom of Expression”

Steven Hirsch, founder and co-chairman of leading adult film studio Vivid Entertainment, says an anti-pornography argument by Republican presidential hopeful Rick Santorum is “ridiculous” and based on false data.

Santorum has called for vigorous enforcement of current anti-obscenity laws, arguing it causes brain damage, ruins marriages, leads to prostitution and sex trafficking, and “contributes to misogyny and violence against women.”

“This is ridiculous and just plain wrong,” says Mr. Hirsch. “None of his arguments holds up to scrutiny. For example the FBI, National Crime Victimization Survey, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and other highly credible organizations have all reported a dramatic drop in rapes, teen pregnancies and sex crimes since 1991, when porn first became widely available on the Internet. The National Crime Victimization Survey (NCVS) reported that between 1991 and 2009 the occurrence of rape in the U.S. dropped 86 percent, just one of many surveys that indicate sexual violence is declining rather than increasing as Mr. Santorum argues.”

“I find it ironic that Mr. Santorum and some of the other Republican candidates claim to favor less government…except when it comes to issues like pornography, where they want Government to dictate what people can and cannot watch. Trying to ban an entertainment form that the U.S. Supreme Court has deemed to be protected is a hopeless task since no one can honestly make blanket judgments on what is obscene.”

“People today are more comfortable than ever with adult content,” Mr. Hirsch added. “If they choose to watch adult movies, it’s their personal decision. We vehemently oppose laws regarding sexual conduct between consenting adults.”

“Thankfully we live in America and have a rational justice system. If by some chance Mr. Santorum were elected president and chose to increase prosecutions, we are confident that our industry would prevail. We believe that juries respect both free speech and freedom of expression. It’s easy for a political candidate to attack our industry, but as everyone knows, pandering and policy are very different matters altogether.”

A chat with hungarian porn star Jo

Porn fans in the US are blessed with plenty of homegrown product, but may not get to hear much about Europe’s vibrant emerging porn community. Those in the know have already been won over by the naturally beautiful girls, fun loving attitude and super-hard action coming from the cream of Europe’s directors.  Established high-class porn production house VivThomas.com is supremely proud of their unique collaboration project with Jo, universally acknowledged as their best model ever. The Hungarian beauty has consistently topped model stats and fan polls, and has been voted Babe of the Year numerous times since she began modelling ten years ago.

One of the most attractive things about Jo is that she still believes she’s “just an ordinary girl,” so it took a little persuading to strike a deal with her to launch her own website – but the results have been nothing short of amazing. Idreamofjo.com blurs the boundaries between art and porn and succeeds in delighting discerning connoisseurs of both genres. It’s a testament to Jo’s creativity and candid sexuality (not to mention her exquisite beauty) and has proved a massive hit with the thousands of VivThomas.com fans that form the backbone of her membership.

We asked Jo a few questions about the site and her life. If you have more you can catch her on Twitter, but first here is a little sample of what you can experience on her site: idreamofjo’s intro video http://www.idreamofjo.com

5 questions for @idreamofjo

1.You have sex on average once a week for your site, do you ever find time for non-professional sex? Do you masturbate a lot?

Even that I enjoy to work for the site, to do sex in private life is totally different  If I masturbate a lot? Usually my private sex is satisfying, so I don’t need ‘more’. But there are periods when I have to find other way to get pleasure

2. Photos of you and Eve Angel seem to tell a story. You have incredible chemistry with her, do you see her out of work? Have you ever had an affair with her?

I know Eve for a very long time, we traveled a lot together, we have a lot of nice memories of our trips. There is a strong connection between me and her. We are still good friends, we meet each other out of work. Regarding the affair you asked: we never liked to speak about this, we were always shy… maybe we are shy to confess our feelings. Who knows?

3. How do you feel when you’re naked on set and a stranger walks in? Tell me about the crews you have worked with.

Hmm. I think a stranger never bothered me on a set. I can be more embarrassed in front of people if there is no camera. With my current production team, it is great fun to work and we all get along really well. My photographer, Gergo, is a very talented man and it seems we work well together.

4. From your site I see you are an accomplished climber (in the ALPS!), an animal lover and enjoy painting. How did all these passions come about?

I have no idea  They just came…I can say that these things always relaxed me. I always need something in my life that can relax me.

5. What’s the biggest thing you hope to accomplish in 2012?

First of all I attach great hopes that www.idreamofjo.com will be more popular, mostly because I would like to know what is in me. How creative I can be in different things. Maybe this can be a big base for something bigger, where I can be more free than I am in the office job  Secondly I would like to have the possibility to climb a lot in many different places, this really is my new passion.

The 20 Minute HIV Spit Test

Turns out I’m years behind on posting this story as what I’m going to tell you about actually got FDA approval years ago and has been on the market since 2004 nationwide.

Orasure is marketed and FDA approved mind you, a rapid HIV diagnostic tool with over 99% accuracy.  In short you swipe it in your mouth (it uses saliva instead of blood) and gives a test result, much like how a pregnancy test does in 20 minutes.

The product retails for about $25 to $35 a piece but wholesale can no doubt be purchased much cheaper by producers.

So here is my question … why isn’t having a test like this on set an acceptable alternative to condom use?

Hell they even have combo packs that test for for Chlamydia, Cytomegalovirus, Gonorrhea, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, Herpes types 1 and 2, HIV, HPV Genital Warts, Rubella, and Toxoplasmosis.

These combo packs cover more than the current industry testing does and there is no fear of faked tests because you could do them right there on the set in less than 20 minutes!  You could know right there, on the set before going in to shoot a scene with 99% level of accuracy is the guy you are about to blow has HIV or of the girl standing next to you has genital warts.

The more I read, I found out there is also a HIV piss test.

HIV home testing is easy with these kits. With these HIV tests there is no need for blood – instead one drop of urine is required. These HIV tests might be the most accurate on the market – Three different studies have shown 100% sensitivity and 100% specificity. HIV test at home and get immediate accurate results.

If testing really is that easy, that quick and that accurate, why the hell are these test kits not on every porn set?

What am I missing here?  What am I not understanding?

No longer do you have to wait days to get test results.  You don’t wait 30 days between tests.  You test every time you make a movie, while on the set so there is never any question about your results.

Surely there is something I am not understanding, some reason why these kind of tests aren’t required.  Why would you wait 30 days between tests?  Know for sure right now if some bitch you are about to fuck has herpes or genital warts.  We already know that HPV is rampantly spread among performers, which vastly increases your risk of cancer as well as infertility.  So with these kind of testing you would be able to to know for sure and avoid performing with someone who tests positive for HPV, herpes, chlamydia.

These combo packs are far more extensive in what they test for.  They are readily available and can be done on the set.

So again what the hell am I missing here?  I just don’t get it?

LA Direct Models Hired Illegal Workers

As news broke today that some rich bitch in New York is going down for what they are saying as “encouraged and induced an illegal immigrant to work and reside in the country” it hit me that Derek Hay of LA Direct Models is doing exactly the same thing when he encourages girls from the UK to come stay at his model house and work in the US, without legal papers to do so.

The girls from the UK probably don’t even realize they are breaking the law, but Derek Hay knows.  Derek Hay of LA Direct Models has been thumbing his nose at the law for years.  Will this violation of the law finally be the thing that gets him busted?  I mean if the hooking thing didn’t then maybe hiring illegal aliens will.

If you are not a US citizen then you must obtain a work permit to work in the United States and knowingly securing work for someone without a valid work permit is illegal.

As an agent, LA Direct Models has been doing just that for awhile now but more specifically last month by securing work for UK performers Emily B and Lou Lou who my sources say recently came to the US to work on a tourist visa for two weeks in January during the time of the AVN show in Las Vegas and from February 10 – 22nd.

But even more interesting is not only did he secure work for these two girls who were not authorized to work in the US, he hired them himself to work on his website, Direct Models Live in association with their collection of websites run through Premium Cash.

While I don’t know all of the jobs he booked the UK girls on, we know for sure they did work for both Hustler and Brazzers.  And even more interesting there are rumors (via some ominous tweets) that at least one of the girls are now struggling to get paid by some of the jobs LA Direct Models booked for them.

Axel Braun claims Star Wars XXX is Most Expensive Adult Film Ever Made

In a recent interview on Vice.com, director Axel Braun claims that Star Wars XXX is the most expensive adult film ever made, yet he won’t say how much was spent. [source]

It boasts the highest budget of any porn movie ever made. How much was spent in making this thing? Enough to blow away any porn movie ever made.”

Of course most people know that he isn’t saying how much the most cost to make because he’s full of shit about it being the highest budget of any porn movie ever made.  We’ve all know that for years Axel Braun has gotten a little creative with things like his resume but this newest claim puts a whole new light on his shit talking.

On YouTube he says it again …

With the highest budget ever for an X-rated spoof, an all-star cast, and award-winning director Axel Braun’s legendary attention to detail, STAR WARS XXX: A PORN PARODY, a joint venture between Axel Braun Productions and Vivid Entertainment, is poised to become the most successful Adult movie of all times.

Funny how quick he is to make these budgetary claims, yet he won’t exactly back them up with any facts or figures.  Does he mean overall budget?  Product budget?  Post-production budget?  I mean look at Pirates, they spent a lot of money with their special effects, but in the end, twice as much money was spent on marketing than on the movie itself.  Look at mega productions like BatFXXX with it’s mega budget for special effects and Bonny and Clide from Bluebird Films.  I think I heard that Bonny and Clide had something like 60 cast members in all.  And let’s not forget all the period costumes, location changes and authentic props like cars from that period in history who no doubt alone, cost more than many gonzo movies cost to make.

So is Axel Braun saying that he not only knows how much Bluebird Films spent on making those movies but that his movie cost more?

Paxum Ditches Bitcoins

Paxum which is a company that came up after the ePass fiasco has been struggling to find it’s way.  Most recently they have announced an issue with Bitcoin.

Here is their official announcement about it.

Over the course of the last two weeks, Paxum has been in communication with our banking partners, Mastercard, and our auditors to evaluate the best interests of Paxum (and its clients) in relation to Bitcoin.

After much discussion and consideration it has been decided that, though Bitcoin’s are not illegal, they are considered high risk. At Paxum we do not want to jeopardize our clients, or our business model, in any way. In light of that, and after considerable consultation, we have chosen to take the pro-active step of ceasing all business with Bitcoin and Bitcoin Exchangers.

This situation has also been discussed with Bitcoin Exchangers, who completely understand the motives behind this decision.

Thank you for your time.

A Call to Unite the Industry Against .XXX

Mike South is calling out the industry and saying Lets Get Together On .XXX

[source] There has been some issues regarding XBiz and support of .xxx on their part and maybe they helped and maybe they didn’t and ASACP was all for it and now they are all against it and so on.

XBiz has asked me to be either a speaker or on a panel at the XBiz Summit in Miami and I am inclined to accept, whatever the past is XBiz is clearly no longer supporting .xxx.  They refuse to take ads from them as do I. If XBiz and I can help to educate and make positive changes in this industry I welcome that opportunity.

My proposal is that we all step it up, we never wanted .XXX and we can rid our industry of this scourge. here are some ideas that hopefully we can all agree to implement.  I agree to do so.

  1. Do not buy any .XXX domains and don’t pay to reserve them. .XXX is already falling rapidly in terms of use, most of the registrations were defensive, but remember Stuart Lawley makes a lot of money on those defensive registrations.
  2. Do not accept any advertising for anything .xxx, this includes websites, domain registrars etc
  3. If you are an adult site, do not allow any affiliates to use a .xxx domain (Manwin has implemented this one already, as have I.) Doing so immediately closes your account and forfeits any money you may have coming.
  4. Do not run a press release or any positive article about .xxx or anyone affiliated with .xxx.  Sorry Stormy Daniels and Nina Mercedez you sold us out, if you fuck up I will gladly point it out, If you win an academy award for your latest movie, my readers won’t read about it. Same for you Shafta and your stupid fucking awards.
  5. Your company will terminate any business relationship with anyone be paid to support .xxx.  In other words Nina and Stormy you are dead to us.
  6. If you are a fan and you support this industry, don’t patronize any .xxx site ever.

Plain and simple, for once lets all stand together and rid ourselves of a scourge on our industry.

Here at LukeFord.com we join the cause and say ……

  • We will not buy a .XXX domain name.
  • We will not accept any advertising from any .XXX websites.
  • We will not run press releases for any .XXX website.

Oh the joy of the bullshit

Just because someone says it doesn’t make it true.

Think very carefully about that statement and the gossip or bullshit you pass on because someone told you it was true.  Do you really know for sure it’s true or did some dumb ass tell you?  How the fuck do they really know?  I mean seriously, you bitch if someone says something about you that isn’t true but then you turn right around and do the same to other people.  JUST BECAUSE SO AND SO SAID SOMETHING, DOESN’T MEAN IT’S TRUE.

I can tell you I seen Madonna give a blowjob in the bathroom but does that mean it’s true?

I can swear up and down to you that I know for a fact my friend’s cousin’s neighbor like purple polka dots.  But does that make it true?

Just remember, if someone gossips to you for any reason, one day they are going to gossip about you so before you go believing that dumb ass, consider the source.

Now grow the fuck up and stop being little douche bags.

The dot XXX people using Jesse Jane to pimp their shit

I can remember the time I heard the story about the porn star who tried to register her trademarked name with .xxx and was told she couldn’t.  It was considered a premium domain name that would soon be up for auction and she would have to try and win it.  It was that day I knew the people who ran .xxx were pieces of shit.

Today they take it one step further.

They specifically are making use of trademarked names like Jesse Jane and Riley Steele to promote the dot xxx services.  These domain names were being forwarded to a promotion to use the .xxx services.

Type in any random domain name like blahlhlh.xxx and you get nothing.  So it’s a clear and calculated attempt to profit from their trademarked names.

They have done the same with mikesouth.xxx

Of course all of this came to light when it was revealed xbiz.xxx has been sold to someone else despite the fact that xbiz.com actually owns the XBIZ trademark and has since April of 2006.

ICM has been a member of the XBIZ.net site for awhile now has yet to make a comment.

The owner of XBIZ will only say that domain name has been cyberquatted and that they won’t accept money for advertising from .xxx nor anyone promoting .xxx domain names for sale.
