Chyna rose to fame as a professional wrestler.

However in 2004 she made her porn debut with the release of her homemade sex tape, 1 Night in China. It would go on to be the best selling celeb sex tape of the year. In fact the video sold so well she decided to do it again and in 2009 she did a second homemade sex tape called Another Night in China in 2009.

In 2011 she was approached by Vivid and did her first professionally produced adult movie called Backdoor to Chyna. This movie was awarded the best celebrity sex tape of the year at the AVN awards in 2012.

She would eventually release two more movies for them, She-Hulk in 2012 in their Avengers XXX parody and then would star in She Hulk XXX the next year.

On April 20, 2016, Chyna was found dead at her home in Redondo Beach, California. She had been taking medication for anxiety and insomnia. A statement was posted to her Twitter account @ChynaJoanLaurer) confirming her death. 

In one final giving gesture to the world, Chyna’s brain was donated to science to study the effects of chronic traumatic encephalopathy.

A documentary which was in the works at the time of her passing, has been tentatively titled The Deconstruction of Chyna is slated for released in the spring of 2017.

Former WWE Superstar Chyna celebrated the release of her new  Vivid Entertainment adult hit movie “Backdoor to Chyna” by hosting a party in her honor at the famous Rick’s Cabaret New York gentlemen’s club.
She signed copies of her new DVD and posed for photos with her fans. “The club was packed,” said Rick’s Cabaret Girl Monique.
“Chyna has a lot of fans.”A group of Wall Street bankers who were sitting nearby in the VIP Champagne Room sent over some of the sexy Rick’s Cabaret Girls to dance for Chyna.
“We stripped for Chyna and she told me she was getting turned on,” said Rick’s Cabaret Girl Kendra. “No wonder she’s so good in her movie!”
Regarding her adult movie career, Chyna told Rick’s Cabaret Girl Kendra: “I am filming another movie for Vivid Entertainment in two weeks.”Regarding her wrestling career, Chyna told Rick’s Cabaret Girl Avalon, “Don’t be surprised if you see me back in the WWE Universe. If the fans want it, it will happen.”
“We get pro athletes and celebrities in here every night,” said Rick’s Cabaret Girl Gianna. “And I want to say that Chyna was one of the very nicest.”
Chyna summed up her evening at Rick’s Cabaret. “I had a great time at Rick’s Cabaret, the Rick’s girls were all so hot!” she said.
