Steele’s Work Shines For Lauded Studio
Paul Chaplin, the owner and creative force behind Bluebird Films certainly knew what he was doing when he teamed with industry veteran Nicholas Steele, bringing him on board as features director and CEO. The synergy between these two talents is responsible for the many accolades heaped upon Bluebird Films for its outstanding work in 2010, and three nominations from the X-Rated Critics Organization is another nod to the studio’s accomplishments.
Blockbusters Bonny & Clide and Batfxxx were each nominated in the Best Parody – Drama category and the talented guiding hand of Nicholas Steele on those titles earned recognition for him as Best Director – Features. “Bluebird put together an amazing cast and I had a great crew to work with on both of these productions,” says Steele. “We made a good team and I’m really, really proud of the nominations for both these titles. My own nomination is not only an honor for me, but also another nod to the quality of the movies.” Moving forward in 2011 will see the emergence of Bluebird’s “Seductions” line from the archives of Nicholas Steele Productions, commencing with the release of Dirty Little Secrets.
