Raven Alexis Leaves Digital Playground Behind

In news that isn’t really shocking to most, AVN is reporting that Raven Alexis and Digital Playground part ways. Apparently one more girl figured out that the only one porn star Digital Playground cares to promote and that is Jesse Jane and perhaps her replacement, Riley Steele. If you aren’t either of those girls you are nothing more than filler and not really worth wasting their time on.

Girl after girl, after girl, after girl seem to learn this lesson the hard way, after being warned of it prior to signing, yet for some reason, dumb ass girls keep signing with them. I guess they think somehow they will be different.

Well like Morgan Dayne, Angelina Armani, now Raven Alexis and many other girls have learned, if you aren’t Jesse Jane you don’t mean shit to DP and they aren’t going to waste their time promoting you or your career.   You are nothing more than fluff and filler.

Hopefully now Raven Alexis will find more success now that she is on her own.  She’s hot as hell.  No reason for her to play second fiddle to anyone.

FROM AVN —Raven Alexis has amicably parted ways with Digital Playground, citing “creative differences and business realities.” Alexis signed with the studio in August 2009.

“My experience with Digital Playground has been invaluable to my personal growth and development and has taught me so much about the industry,” Alexis said. “But with growth comes change, and as much as change may inspire trepidation, I have come to realize that it is also what ignites passions and leads to great achievement.”
Alexis told AVN that she was “looking forward to continuing to make excellent movies for a variety of studios.”

Alexis, fresh off winning a NightMoves Award for Best New Starlet, still plans to work with Digital Playground.

“While there are definite advantages to being an exclusive starlet, many things have changed in the past year since I signed with Digital that make it more beneficial to both myself and the company that we alter our relationship in a way that serves both our goals moving forward,” she said.

While with Digital Playground, Alexis’ movies and performances have consistently received high ratings. She’s appeared in Body Heat, The Substitute, Asslicious 2, Jack’s POV 16, Fly Girls, Desires, No Love Lost and Nymphomaniac.

“In this environment, both Digital Playground and I came to the conclusion that our mutual interests are best served in having the opportunity to shoot with one another on a case-by-case basis as opposed to within the confines of terms dictated within a contract created in a substantially different business climate,” Alexis said.

As an independent performer Alexis is looking forward to devoting more time to her own label, Raven Alexis Productions, and the attendant websites RavenAlexis.com and NevermoreNaughty.com, and her affiliate program located at RavenAlexisCash.com.

“We are definitely going to continue building and expanding the sites that are under the RA banner,” Alexis said. “We also have a litany of new things coming in the next few months, with the kicking off of my feature dancing tour, the e-commerce site ramping up, various partnerships with several large companies, and some surprises too.”

Digital Playground CEO Samantha Lewis was effusive in her praise of Alexis and of her time as an exclusive performer with the studio.

“She is, through my 18 years in this business, one of the most responsible, beautiful, and pleasant contact girls I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with,” Lewis told AVN. “I truly hope we’ll still continue to work with each other. Raven is extremely intelligent and articulate, not to mention a great performer, and it’s truly been a pleasure working with her. She’s bright, she’s motivated and we did some great work together. I know she has her own business interests, and if we can add anything to help make those companies grow, we will do so. We’re hoping to continue the relationship we’ve built with her. We adore her. She will always be a part of the Digital family.”

Alexis will be booking her own gigs in the meantime while she finalizes her new agency affiliation. She can be reached at raven@ravenalexis.com, or email john@ravenalexisproductions.com.
