Zero Tolerance to release slate of thriller parodies

Zero Tolerance Announces Ambitious Slate of Thriller Parodies

September 1, 2010 – Los Angeles, CA – Zero Tolerance Entertainment is slated to release dozens of thriller film parodies with their first big release, The Official Friday the 13th Parody, releasing just in time to launch their new direction for Halloween. Tapping into unchartered territory, Zero Tolerance is going to corner the market of the thriller parody genre by producing parodies of popular films and franchise films including; Scary Movie, Scream, Psycho, Fatal Attraction, Silence of the Lambs, Halloween, Basic Instinct, Deliverance and many more.

“We are going after this market aggressively as a corporate mandate and we’ve got an extensive list of popular and well known thriller and horror titles we will be making original parodies for,” said Greg Alves of Zero Tolerance Entertainment. “In addition, to our reputation as one of the top gonzo studios today, Zero Tolerance will quickly be synonymous with thriller genre parodies and are planning on cornering the market in this regard.”

Zero Tolerance Entertainment chose this genre to capture a younger audience using the current trend in the adult market which is to spoof big title mainstream releases. This genre will also resonate with the current Zero Tolerance user because it reinforces the current company mandate of producing highly entertaining films with a twist. Thrillers generally tend to spoof themselves, therefore providing Zero Tolerance with the opportunity to create sequels that will give the studio extended life with box sets, anniversary titles, limited editions and much more.

All upcoming thriller parodies will feature either one or a combination of the Zero Tolerance Contract Stars Courtney Cummz, Sara Sloane and current AVN, XBIZ and XROC Best New Starlet Kagney Linn Karter, among some of the hottest talent in the industry. The studios first foray into this genre will be spoofing the popular and well know thriller franchise Friday the 13th by releasing The Official Friday the 13th Parody in October and will be directed by award-winning Gary Orona in HD, who also directed and shot Zero Tolerance’s latest hotly anticipated thriller release Sanatorium.

All the thrillers Zero Tolerance has chosen to parody launching with The Official Friday the 13th Parody will have slick, high-end production values and stay true to the genre in terms of tone and storyline. To achieve all the true genre elements, working with Gary Orona on this first release was key to set the genre’s tone moving forward, and is truly a symbiotic relationship for this new corporate direction.

“Gary brings a specific technique and voice to the table in this genre that is hard to find in adult productions which is why Gary’s directing and writing input was critical for Zero Tolerance to secure for this first release, “ said Greg Alves. Zero Tolerance Entertainment’s Official Friday the 13th Parody, will hit stores October 26, 2010 launching this new direction for the studio with a hot title and with a bang!
