LOS ANGELES, CA (ROADS TO MOSCOW) – Wicked Pictures, the 2010 XBIZ Peoples’ Choice for Porn Studio Of The Year, is pleased to announce that contract superstar and mainstream crossover personality Stormy Daniels’ latest mainstream triumph, Finding Bliss, opened Friday, June 11th at the Laemmle’s Sunset 5 in Hollywood, California. This provocative new film’s Los Angeles premiere is following the DVD roll-out of Partly Stormy, Daniels’ latest production forWicked as a writer, producer and director.
Described in the mainstream press as a cutting edge romantic comedy that explores the adult film industry through the eyes of an idealistic 25 year old film school graduate, Finding Bliss represents a charming indie triumph for writer-director Julie Davis.
The spirited filmmaker based the semi-autobiographical film on her early career, including a year spent cutting adult videos after graduating from the American Film Institute’s prestigious editing program. This intensely personal project, which Davistirelessly developed over a period of thirteen years and understandably refers to as “my true labor of love,” stars LeeLee Sobieski, the talented actress who starred opposite Nicholas Cage in The Wicker Man after early roles in everything fromDrew Barrymore’s Never Been Kissed to Stanley Kubrick’s Eyes Wide Shut.
In addition to enjoyable performances from such recognizable stars as Jamie Kennedy and TV personality Kristen Johnston(3rd Rock From The Sun), Finding Bliss gains industry verisimilitude from the presence of Ms. Daniels, who essays the role of a character not too distantly related to her public persona. “I basically play myself,” she tells Impulse Magazine in an exclusive interview. “I play an adult film star named Stormy, so it wasn’t much of a stretch for me. I was pleasantly surprised at how the industry was portrayed in the film, and appreciate Julie’s spin on it. I really think she got it right.”
Regarding her high profile co-stars, Ms. Daniels is quick to point out that “everyone was really fun and outgoing, especially Leelee Sobieski and Jamie Kennedy. They were both very funny and curious about my industry. Jamie was surprisingly open with the nudity and honestly, if mainstream acting doesn’t work out for him, I’d happily cast him in one of my movies…if you know what I mean.”
From the art houses of New York and Los Angeles to your local DVD retailer, the movies of Stormy Daniels can be counted on to deliver an indisputable combination of wit and sensuality.
