Three teenage girls say they had to remove their clothes, squat, lift their breasts and open their mouths as part of strip searches before taking a cautionary tour of a juvenile detention center.
OHIO – The teens, who agreed to the tour to avoid going to court on trespassing charges filed after a fight, are suing the counties that oversee the facility.
They also claim they were given dirty inmates’ uniforms to wear after the strip search.
Their lawyers claim the teens — ages 14, 15 and 16 — were only bystanders at the fight, and that their parents would not have agreed to the 15-minute tour if they had known the girls would be searched.
The lawsuit seeks at least $25,000 (€18,340) in damages.
