COUPLE CHARGED IN SEX ASSAULT…. AFTER VIDEOTAPING THE EVIDENCE

Gadsden County, FL deputies have arrested a couple they say committed sadomasochistic sex crimes on tape.

Investigators initiated the search for the couple after a 21-year-old woman reported she’d been bound, gagged and beaten in the head Monday, said spokesman Ulysses Jenkins of the Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office. The Tallahassee woman, who was being treated at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, told deputies it was all caught on tape.

Here’s what Jenkins said happened: The woman agreed to meet with Christopher Coaxum, 22, and Syteria Booker, 22, early Monday morning. The couple picked her up from her Tallahassee home about 3 a.m. and took her to their home on Ponderosa Circle in Midway.

The woman said Booker started beating her against her will while Coaxum tied her up and gagged her. He then videotaped it. They kept her at the home until the woman managed to run away from the house about 10 a.m. She caught a ride back to Tallahassee from a neighbor in the area. Deputies met the woman at TMH about 2:30 p.m.

When deputies went to search the Midway home that afternoon, they found a video tape that showed Coaxum sexually and verbally abusing a woman – but it wasn’t the same woman deputies had interviewed.

Booker and Coaxum were arrested about 5 p.m. Monday at their Midway house on charges of kidnapping and battery. Deputies are still looking for the woman in the video. They have not been able to identify her.

Jenkins would not say whether the tape that the woman referred to was found at the home.

The Sheriff’s Office asks anyone who has had contact with Coaxum under similar circumstances to call Sgt. Matt Rowan at 627-9233.
