MOM HAS SEX WITH SONS BEST FRIEND

MELVINDALE, DETROIT — A 34-year-old Melvindale woman waived a preliminary hearing today and opted to go straight to trial on charges she had sex with her son’s 14-year-old best friend.

Authorities charged Michelle Perruzzi with two counts of criminal sexual conduct in the third degree for allegedly having sex with the boy in her home while her two children where there.

If convicted, she faces 15 years in prison for each charge.

The victim, now 15, told police that Perruzzi molested him on at least four different occasions in 2005 while he stayed the night with the woman’s son. The case came to police’s attention after the boy, a student at Melvindale High School, told the girl he is now dating.

“The boy’s story is solid and straight through, but the woman’s story has changed several times,” said Melvindale Detective David Taft.

At least once, the boy claimed Perruzzi performed a sex act while one of her children was in the same room, Taft claimed. It’s unclear whether the woman has two or three children.

Perruzzi, who was accompanied by her husband, stood in front of Judge Richard Page at the 24th District Court and asked the preliminary exam be waived through her attorney Gregory Boulahanis.

Perruzzi is out on bond, which outrages the victim’s mother.

“I don’t believe that she should be out on bond and she shouldn’t even be allowed to be around her own kids,” said the woman whom The News is not naming because it would identify her son.

It’s the second high-profile case in the past few months of a suburban mom facing allegations of sex with her children’s friends.

Earlier this month, Jami Lee Knox, 41, of Farmington Hills was sentenced to three to 15 years in prison after she was convicted of having sex repeatedly with a 15-year-old boy last year.
