According to the criminal complaint, in late July 2005 the New York State Police received a cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding an America Online user known as "wicked daddy 69."

That user was caught distributing child pornography.

When the New York State Police conducted a nationwide search, they discovered the subscriber information for "wicked daddy 69" is allegedly Dennis Vickery of Erie. After an investigation, the Erie County High Tech Crime Unit executed a search warrant and was able to seize Vickery`s laptop computer from his home.

In the process of analyzing the laptop, it was discovered that 20 images of child pornography were on Vickery`s computer, and at least one of those images depicted a 12 to 14 month old baby girl.

In addition, the District Attorney`s Office says they have discovered more than 100,000 images on Vickery`s hard drive that still need to be analyzed.
